  1. Oh Fati went to the seaside He bought a stick of rock then stuck one in the corner and showed the crowd his…. ability
  2. Would be great if we could get what was originally mooted as Kingys 10 year testimonial sorted, the Title Winners squad vs current or others, whilst they're just about fit and sharp enough to enjoy it. End of season may be a problem with Euro's and players straight off on hols but would be great to say a proper farewell, it was great to have that chance with King, Pearson and James this season but with Albrighton probably on his last contract too the timing could be just right this time .
  3. Yep, that makes sense why my Dad was more wary of me than usual. I remember it feeling different to the other end, that explains it.
  4. Like others have said couldn't get tickets where we normally sat, instead had standing tickets in from of Main Stand between half way and the double decker (would that have been family enclosure, I know the other end was?). My dad was worried about me not seeing anything or getting knocked over so somehow we took along a plastic milk Crate to stand on - "What's this..... a potentially throwable trajectile with sharp edges. OK, so long as it's not a large Sandwich you're sneaking in". The combination of success (the goals) and jeapordy (their goals and our goalkeeping situation) made it what it was but it's strange on paper to think we won by three clear goals, maybe the "best form of defence is attack" motto was in force. I can safely say Youngy and Lynex showed better positional awareness than Danny Ward. I remember during the latest injury stoppage bravely stepping up and suggesting I went in goal when it seemed like everyone else was getting a go, don't know if the ref had a policy on the use of Milk Crates though? How different could it be to protecting the "hedge end" of our Lancaster Place "pitch", but without the tricky flower beds and curbs to navigate through, it's only Shrewsbury after all? Steward disagreed and wouldn't let me on so we'll never know.
  5. Well I hear the Filbert guy is retiring but then again that role involves doing several laps of the whole pitch every match day so it may be beyond him. His idea of effort doesn't match the clubs, the minute you hand him a shirt you lower your standards and your expectations, I'm sure this system is better suited to him than last seasons but he didn't care enough to break a sweat for the cause, he lets people down.
  6. He still owes me £50 (ticket money) for making the Brentford game his own little personal protest to the board instead of the football match it claimed to be on the ticket. Oh and then there's the £120 million or whatever he owes to the club for what those two dropped points cost them ultimately.
  7. Hope I’m not missing a Chelsea cry-in on Talk Sport
  8. Jurgen already had his towel on the trophy
  9. Just found a recipe, Roast, Chill well for nearly two hours then add champagne and enjoy!
  10. Won’t be Champagne with the trophy, half the team are still on Panda Pops bless ‘em, Chelsea’s Billion pound side beaten by a youth club ! LOVE IT!
  11. Bell Chilbell close up PLEASE
  12. An offside Liverpool player was blocking a Chelsea defender from defying the laws of physics and somehow getting around and across in time to beat Van Dyke in the air. But basically being offside doing something that affected the goal.
  13. Going all Ted Rodgers 3-2-1 style I'd dissect that at follows:- The bold (Enzo?) Fox (City) are needing something, seeking something. They are getting this thing but want and need more of it. They are staying in their position because they know this is the best way of doing things despite the temptation to try other ways and Sunderland (the black cats) will not be a threat to this happening. They are feeding off unwanted scraps (recruitment?) but this is put into context by seeing how much others would want those same scraps. Keeping what we have is just as important as gaining more. When there is no more to come (nearing the end of season), the fight is fought, it is then time to move on, having outgrown that doorstep to find one that, with all due respect, might offer roast chicken or steak. Yes, you've won a barbecue 3,-2-1.
  14. Burnley were ok for ten minutes but after the sending off it all went brownhill for them
  15. As my Uncle Stan always said having all your bird eggs to hand in the same bush is worth 3 in the basket, points can't be taken away (unless you're Everton), yes there's more to do and different clubs are on different current form trajectories but the solid points count more than the forecasted ones. Hull away and WBA at home will be far from "routine" wins as they're trying to be around the play off's, and Southampton will require better game management from everyone than we've seen in the Ipswich and Leeds games but I wouldn't swap positions and fixture lists with any of the others around, sorry behind, us.
  16. Amongst the Daka hate, redress it with the fact he scored a perfectly good goal to put us 2-0 up. His fault the linesman has had a shocker?
  17. Sloppy clearances between the 1st and 2nd conceded goals and misses from Patson and Stephi aside there wasn’t much wrong from us, with a buoyant crowd and weak ref / linesman reacting to every bit of noise we weren’t ever on a level playing field. I hope it’s called out by the gaffer or players tonight, you can’t have a 2-0 goal denied in such a big match and Ricardo’s early booking affected how tight his press could be for the rest of the game. Leeds players sliding on their asses into every challenge not once deemed to be out of control? The wider narrative will be we’re collapsing, Leeds are better etc…bull, officials have to be better or we’re all wasting our time energy and money, we might as well pick scores from a hat with the same credibility. Just please please, with backs against the wall sometimes put it in row Z and reset, these mid hit clearances that come straight back sees the whole structure lose composure and shape,
  18. Another deflection! The combination of flukes and Pawson is sickening.
  19. Kamara not focused there
  20. So another Pawson mistake then
  21. this really is a good spell, need to put a chance away so we don’t regret it later
