  1. I liked it when Brighton had SKINT, Norman Cooks record label as a shirt sponsor. Didn't do them any harm. Is there a company called BROKE or perhaps the band BUSTED?
  2. If players like BEK and Winks just got their heads down and played to the the best of their abilities they would probably be gone by now. Their attitude and that of their agents will hardly lead to clubs signing them when more viable alternatives are available. They will probably finish remaining here, stinking the place out, till the January panic window, no use to anyone.
  3. Will be one of our finest. I like to see a keeper who commands his box. Charlton were targeting the far post with their corners, to take the keeper out, where we left smaller players, team needs to work on it in practice. The art of good defending is to stop balls coming into the box, then keepers don't have to make great saves all the time. When we had players like Walsh, Taggart and Elliot they kept us in the top division by stopping goals at one end and scoring them at the other, happy days.
  4. I can't watch when we defend a corner, they obviously target the back post but we seem clueless. Bring back the set piece coach.
  5. We know well what the results of playing with half arsed players and management is. If anyone isn't fully committed to the club, and earning a salary most of us can only dream of, they need to go now. Marti will at least have a chance to have a good look at the players we have without discontent in the squad and plan to sign players in January, that we need, rather than the panic buys in the past that has lead to the PSR problems we have now.
  6. I think he is one of the few who put a hundred percent effort in nowadays, unfortunately he's not very good.
  7. Other than loss of revenue and opportunities to blood younger players, which Marti did, I don't think we have too much to complain about. I thought we played well, as did Huddersfield, it's just glaringly obvious that we need a better striker than Ayew or Daka, although they would both be better playing along a recognised striker who could hold the ball up. At least the board will realise we need to bring someone in before the end of the window, stop dilly-dallying and get rid of the players who don't want to be here and spend the funds.
  8. We saw one guy who's mobile ticket wouldn't work so he had been to the ticket office to get a printed ticket and that didn't work either. He was not a happy bunny.
  9. Update. Neither of our mobile tickets would work. There was no dedicated helper at the turnstile, luckily a steward we know tried them too and let us in with his pass to save us the pain of the ticket office.Others around us said they just used last season's card with no problems. I don't know if it's worth ringing the ticket office to see if something needs enabling or just try last season's card next match. I use wallet all the time for event tickets and don't have a problem with them.
  10. I have watched the fancied teams this weekend, strikers look poor. Ayew and Daka, as sub, may not be as bad as I feared.
  11. Our Academy should be producing competent English keepers. We were quite good at in the 60's and 70's, with bog basic facilities.
  12. Teams like Bournemouth, Fulham and Brentford had nothing like our wage bill last season. We are paying the price for p*** poor management, needs sorting for us to move on.
  13. If we get rid of Faes, Soumare and either Winks or Skipp this could be a dream transfer window, even if we bring no one in for big money. Club needs to get back to the real world financially, even if it means staying in the Championship for a couple of seasons. Free transfers, giving the kids a chance ,loans and shorter contracts are the way forward.
  14. I may have bothered to turn up if it had been on a Saturday at 3pm, for novelty value.
  15. Give them Faes as a Bogoff.
  16. I forgot to order a season card for myself and my wife so, as an oap, was dreading using the mobile ticket. I use Google wallet already so downloaded the season tickets last week. I received the email from the club yesterday, checked and found the Wednesday tickets were already on our phones without doing anything. So far it looks like our fears were unfounded but will see how it goes.
  17. Elvis Hammond, every time he played, springs to mind.
  18. Managers are overrated anyway. Let FoxesTalk pick the team by weekly poll. Can you imagine.
  19. How my expectations have fallen. I would take Dyche now, as at least he can organise a defence. Squad really needs trimming down but a striker is a priority, Daka is not up to it as others have said, hope Evans is. The existing squad is probably up to getting promoted if points deduction is not too big. Burnley got up on defending well. Looking forward to a few one nils.
  20. Giving Vesty a new contract was incomprehensible.
  21. Hopefully, the goal of the month competition will return. At least they will have something to print on the clappers other than a light show.
  22. I think we are now picking a team to keep the score down. No fight, no entertainment, no endeavour , effing boring. After sixty years Monday night is the point of no return for me. Probably time to hand over to the next generation. Been one hell of a ride though.
  23. Watching this in Tenerife in a bar full of Scousers and Geordies. Got the 1984 Ind Coope green shirt on , hope it doesn't get recognized.
  24. I was pretty ambivalent till he started playing the two left backs, who we don't think are good enough for the Premier league, in the starting eleven. It's like he's asking to be sacked. Sad times.
