To be fair, I had a few lessons in June, still got some hours to use with the coach. Really regret starting them in summer because it’s far too nice to not be out on the course. Absolutely ruined my game being in 2 minds whether I play my game or play the way I’ve been coached (which isn’t working yet, need range time). Obviously you need to put the work into the game too, so getting out is essential, but with the weather we’ve had, I can’t justify spending time on the range rather than getting out on the course. More so for my enjoyment (not golfing enjoyment ). I look forward to a round but certainly don’t look forward to the range. Quite lucky that I have time to get 3/4 daytime rounds a week. So much easier going to the range to practice when the weather is bad. Going to pick it back up October onwards and really graft on the range for the winter months. Regarding the after thoughts of a round, yes… it’s a great game but it’s a real humbler.

Yeah of course, it’s the harsh reality of football. We’re worse than a couple of years ago unfortunately.

Probably a lot for the promotion bonuses and related pay increases. A shorter season, putting themselves out there for a transfer back into the PL (if relegated) and more money. Most would do a lot for PL football.

We will struggle to score goals. We can’t rely on moments of individual brilliance every week, at both ends of the pitch. *edit - and the opposition being incompetent

Don’t mind losing on penalties, but Ayew could not have made it clearer where he was putting his. It was absolutely pathetic. Don’t mind a miss like BEKs and McAteer’s was just a poor effort. All round crap game, which resembled two EFL plodders. They could’ve won in the 90. Wouldn’t have been unfair if they had. Can’t play out from the back, don’t press particularly well, poor/lazy passing, constantly taking the safe option or running into blind alleys. Gifting the opposition chances and just generally struggling to do the basics. It’s going to be a long season.

It’s a killer of a game isn’t it. I only went out for the 9 (the worst 9 of the 3 at my course). If I’d done another, there was a guaranteed 50+ coming to make sure I was nowhere near 90, as always.

Really random one here… I bought the women’s Germany shirt, medium. It must be last years as it was in the sale at Adidas. Too late to return so if anyone could make use of it, I’d be happy to post it out. As you can imagine, it doesn’t suit a mid 30s Yorkshire bloke with an ever growing gut 😂

Their starting 11 would be pretty poor regardless. I think it comes down to whether they actually care (which I don’t think they will).
