There has been countless examples of proven quality players failing to adapt in the premiership. Most promoted teams try to add 2/3 minimum, players that have experienced the league. Not sure how much prem experience the wolves squad has though I know it’s not a lot. I feel a good start for them will give us clarity of their potential. That being said. Everton bought expensive experienced proven players and had to sack the manager. I think more often than not, anymore than 5/6 first teamers are going to need 15/20 games to be a ‘team’. I think they will scrape 12th. Just ahead of United. thats Manchester not Newcastle...

But in terms of being lightweight, it’s not a players weight that affects that opinion, is it? Mahrez was lightweight when we signed him, not so much now but I’m sure he’s not any heavier. Its about strength on the ball and having the physicality to shield and protect it, or at least that is how I interpret the phrase. Silva just needs to get use to the pace of this league and realise he has much less time to make his decision with the ball. Unfortunately most players would need game time to improve on such attributes.

Burnley having only scored so few may be surprising, but i don’t see how it’s incredible that we have scored the most outside the top 6. Not because of how good or clinical we are but because the league is of dog shit quality outside the top 5 this year. The table doesn’t lie and with only 9 games remaining any 2 of 11! 11 ffs any two could join West Brom. Plus we aren’t as bad as some like to think. It’s the type of football we’re playing that’s so frustrating but that’s because we’ve been against teams that sit deep and nullify our pace.
