He doesn't deserve his first spell as a head coach to immediately be marred with a relegation.
-
I mean, he's called him the worst penalty taker he's ever seen and that he's shit at them in training too. It's pretty strong criticism that goes a bit beyond "it wasn't a good penalty" or "he wasn't the chosen taker, he shouldn't have taken it."

It was inappropriate and ill judged for Gasperini to say it. But then, yeah, the response feels like it's something that should have been handled privately. But you don't know what's gone on really do you? For a start, he'd previously been one of their best players, why wasn't he in the starting line up? What has Gasperini said privately, maybe refused to talk to him or apologise? Maybe they've already had a falling out? You don't know exactly what he means with he's had a bunch of other issues and this isn't the first? Could be the straw that broke the camel's back. My gut reaction was the same as yours but tbf, you just don't know do you. Looks like his time there is probably up. Shame we're still skint and going down

Wind on to like, 4:30?

Btw shout out to Toloi for trying to throw the ball at an opponent, ****ing that up, then barging through the ref to try and rugby tackle the same opponent to the ground. Legendary levels of batshit

I'm a big fan of Gasperini, he's a great coach, really entertaining football and what he's done there is immense. But they were 5 - 1 down on aggregate with three quarters of the tie played against a team that were just mauling them on the break at every opportunity. Think he had bigger issues than one penalty miss tbh.

Where are the lies in there? Almost all of that is non specific, non statements. Literally the only thing he says of any substance is that the club are trying to find players to sign. We know that that is true, not only because we signed one but it's fairly obvious we were testing the waters with a few others. He doesn't mention budget or how much he's got to work with or if they're loans or permanent transfers that he's looking at. I don't think anyone told a lie particularly, I think the situation has been the same since we let Rodgers sign a bunch of players that aren't good enough. We've been desperately trying to move them on, we need to reduce the wage bill and clear out the amortisation before we can add to both and we spent most of January trying to do that alongside looking for replacements and it didn't materialise. Again. To iterate, I'm not defending the club or Rudkin, I think the whole thing is a shambles. I just don't believe for a second that we hired Ruud promising him a veritable war chest in January and then laughed in his face when the window opened.
-
I still call bullshit on this stuff tbh. I'm not even particularly defending the club I just don't believe it would even really have been either possible or necessary to lie to Ruud and it's an insult to his intelligence to suggest he was duped. We know for a fact he spoke to Enzo before he took the job, either Enzo is the worst friend in history or he'd have told him exactly what's up. The idea we somehow managed to pull off the exact same lie twice in a row is a bit far fetched. And RVN's other job offer when he came here was in the second tier of German football for a club that make us look financially sound and well run. He's a middle of the road manager, who left his only previous job on bad terms and has very little on his cv except his fame as a player. We could and should have hired better and he was lucky to get this job, we really wouldn't have needed to lie. It just smacks of trying to push a narrative to sell a story. The real truth is just probably a lot more boring - we're in a mess and at the time we hired him we didn't really know what our PSR situation would look like come January or who we'd be able to shift on (which has been the case for years.) It's not dishonesty, it's just incompetence.

Holy shit Atlanta. I didn't think tonight would be really worth watching.

Mate, I've seen his posts in Gen Chat, I'm not going anywhere near his hard drive

I couldn't work out if it was some sort of joke or meme I was missing or if it was just rage bait. There's 0 chance that's someone's actual view of football unless they're, idk, a Turkish Wolves fan?
-
I'm assuming the thinking is pitch invaders in the sense of people coming on the pitch to physically attack players more than just to run across the pitch waving their arms being silly in various states of undress?
-
What the **** am I looking at Is this like, a tier list of... idk, chins?
-
He's not but it's still incredible how quickly a stint at Spurs can turn you from one of the most likeable, affable coaches in British football to one of the most bitter and constantly whinging.
-
You'll stay up. To be clear, you are ****ing garbage, your squad is crap, your defence is as meme worthy as ours, Pereira isn't a good manager and the only reason you're not down already is the bottom three are just awful. But you'll stay up.
-
They don't have to be peak Real Madrid to be better than us. They're obviously shit, we're just objectively worse. We only need to be a goal worse than them to go down.
-
We're hopelessly adrift of everyone but Wolves so I assume it depends what you mean by "around us." I think Wolves have a better squad and coach and a current points advantage. It'll take a minor miracle for us to stay up. We threw it away taking nothing from the Palace - Fulham double header. The moment we went down right there.

5 first tier home games without a goal
Finnegan replied to squidsworth's topic in Leicester City Forum
I'm confused. Are you suggesting we need attacking players to attack the goal? This seems unusual to me. -
You're not being harsh, it's school boy and we do it all the time. We don't have a single CB who can defend in the air. Big reason I was absolutely amazed watching people on here turn their nose up at the idea of Tyrone Mings. You don't survive in this league without defenders that win aerial challenges.
-
Yet again, an aerially dangerous striker is free in the box with neither of our centre halves having a clue where he is.

What Game Are You Playing At The Moment ?
Finnegan replied to LeicesterBran's topic in Music and Gaming
You probably need to look more in to the indie game market, some of the best games that exist are indies these days and a lot of them are extremely nostalgic and tailored to our generation of gamers. A lot of the main stream AAA games that get a lot of hype are extremely cinematic, yeah. -
Now I feel bad for not offering more poll options for the neurodivergent.

He's not doing great in this one tbh mun

I assume anyone that doesn't like cheese got lost here on their way to the Depression thread. How do you live your life like that.
