  1. I know he'll score now I've said this but why would you send nunez up
  2. Vitinha almost with the absolute memes
  3. So that's Goncalo Ramos nailed on to miss a pen
  4. Salah is a ****ing embarrassment
  5. Mate by their own standards that is honking.
  6. Right on que, Leeds to lose and kick start their annual collapse
  7. This psg fourth kit is one of the worst psg kits of all time. That's my contribution.
  8. Yeah of course but by having a terrible resale I also mean, nobody's going to want to take him off us tbh. So it's fairly redundant.
  9. Whoever decided that United's new stadium should look like a circus tent is an absolute genius.
  10. We won't get either. Or, if we get an embargo at all it'll be a passive aggressive dig from the EFL and it'll happen immediately following relegation, something on the lines of "so NOW can we see your plan for improving your financial situation!?" and we'll sheepishly provide them some evidence of our books and they'll lift the embargo immediately. It'll just be a flex. I doubt we'll get a points deduction to be honest. We sold Barnes, Maddison and KDH in the year we were in the EFL, massively reduced our wage bill and spent fairly little (adjusted for amortisation) in the summer and famously nothing in January.
  11. I put keep Ricardo partly because he absolutely smashed it last year and partly because he probably has zero resell value of note now.
  12. Yeah, I just read that. Spectacularly out of touch. I'm someone that actually likes a lot of statistical and tactical analysis and I'd happily watch a show that went in to a decent amount of (accurate) detail on both. But not only do I fully accept I'm in the minority but BBC's pundit team just isn't qualified or cut out to do it and they'd need a complete overhaul of their approach to pundits. There's quite a lot of good content creators out there who aren't former players doing solid analysis with both data and video and it'd be interesting to see a mainstream TV show go in that direction. But if more analysis means more of Micah Richards and Alan Shearer pretending to have a clue then I'd watch it even less than I do now. Extended highlights is the best thing they offer and even that's under threat by the SkySports youtube channel now. I do think they need to shake the MOTD formula up a bit but this definitely isn't it.
  13. I definitely want to see Nelson in the squad getting solid minutes. But I want us to sign some absolute, grade A, shit house willy pullers who win 500% of their aerial duels and do 75% of their tackling with their elbows. At the risk of going all caveman, I'm so ****ing sick of Rolls Royce defenders who can pick a pass but can't track a run or clear a ball.
  14. Mads is gone, to be honest, we'll need one sellable asset to help balance things and be able to reinforce. He's the most obvious. I can't imagine us really getting Bilal to play in the Championship either but I could be surprised. The biggest problem is the defence. They're all shit and none of them have any warrior spirit to them at all. Pretty much sack them all off except maybe Woyo who I think might end up being a low key brilliant signing for the Championship. I wouldn't be upset if we lined up like so on day one in the Championship: Daka Mavididi, Bilal, Fatawu Winks, Ndidi New, New, New, Woyo Stolarczyk We can throw all our money at getting a decent defence and a decent manager and that's a team that'd get us promoted easily. Appreciate Daka is the one that's going to raise the most eyebrows but we'll need to sign a young striker anyway, we'll never do all year with Vards and Daka again if Vards even stays.
  15. We'll see. A performance like the first half against Ireland or the second against Scotland and a win definitely isn't impossible but we'll still be a long way from favourites. I wasn't surprised Scotland won but I was disappointed by how easy we made it for them in the first half. The confidence and organisation gained in the Ireland game all just went out the window. England won't have a late game (Spursy ) meltdown like the Scotch did, if we give them a big early margin it'll just be over. Crowd will need to be up for it.
  16. "Pelters" is a bit chip on the shoulder, think that's a tad over the top. Problem with Ireland fans is just a very specific type of fan that's unfortunately the most vocal on social media. The D4 head, smug Leinster cvnts that have gotten increasingly insufferable over the last decade. The majority of the rugby world know they don't represent the whole Irish fan base but they are really ****ing annoying and arrogant is the right word. They don't represent the entire Leinster fanbase (though it often feels like it) let alone Munster, Ulster and Connacht.
  17. All banter aside, I'd say comparing Spurs to Scotland is pretty spot on but only if you're honest enough to admit that Spurs aren't so much bottlers, they're just smaller fry than Liverpool, Man City and Chelsea and them not winning much isn't a shock. They get loads of stick but they're, at best, the third or fourth best team and there's just always better teams around. Despite that, they're always talked up as being in the elite group, always talked up as potential winners and dark horses for no actual good reason. Both teams are media darlings that are popular with neutrals because they usually play entertaining football/rugby and have a few elite attackers and on their day can really turn on the style. Both sets of fans also have a habit of turning on the coaches because they've started to believe the hype and the coaches of both constantly have to contend with unreasonably high expectation to push on and win things despite the fact they're competing against sides with more resources, more pedigree and usually just straight up more actual quality. Scotland are absolutely the Spurs of rugby.
  18. This is the most spurs thing I've ever heard. Literally proved him right. "Yeah but we beat Arsenal"
  19. Behave. Nobody with any brain would have called us anything other than huge under dogs for this. It was winnable in the way any game in this tournament is winnable but we'd have to have played out of our skin, got a bit of lucky and Scotland would have to have been dog.
  20. I'd say France have been pretty consistently superb since Galthie and Edwards took charge to be honest. They've just had to contend with Ireland also being absolutely phenomenal. Today it went France's way pretty convincingly but you play that game 10 more times and they probably share a similar number of wins each.
  21. We never left it
  22. Narh. France probably have the three best scrum halves in the tournament. Both Lucu and Le Garrec are legitimately world class and would start for any other country. Lucu was immense today.
  23. A defence coach nowhere near the level of Shaun Edwards completely shut them down last time out. France will beat them comfortably. This will end up being a cricket score but Scotland are just flat track bullies. We aren't good enough so they'll run in a lot of tries and it'll look flashy. But it'll be right back down to earth next week when they have to play an organised, confident and capable team. Meanwhile, an England side that beat Scotland will probably give us a much closer game purely because they aren't so explosive in the backs.
  24. Behave.
  25. They got a points deduction, we didn't. We've had the league's pants down multiple times. Forest are yet to really have to face any consequences for the vast amount of money they've spent. They'll run in to the same problems we did when the squad stagnates and needs reinforcement but they spent their budget already in the preceeding years. They're not really very well run. The only significant difference between us and them is we've made more honking recruitment decisions over the last few years.
