Standard British home fans.

I mean in fairness it was stonewall. The defender was stood T-posing in the middle do the box waving his arms around next to him.
-
That was pretty stupid Ledson
-
They do have a team of bellends
-
Not sure how Ricardo is a bigger injury risk playing CM than CDM for a match tbh.
-
I imagine he'll go to a top half / Europa League club if Leeds don't go up. He's not just a bit too good for the Championship he's far, far too good.
-
A second division reserve goalkeeper in Scotland literally scored a better goal off the bench the week before. Freak wonder goals are one thing. Scoring consistently every week is another.
-
At the risk of being That Guy, it's 12 degrees in Leeds today and Patrick Bamford was born and raised in this climate, the fvck is he wearing gloves for?
-
Mh, if he's match fit I wouldn't consider him a massive downgrade on Casadei tbh. He's much neater in possession at very least. Wouldn't be my choice. I'd probably put Hamza at RB, Ricardo up in Wilf's position and Akgun on the wing.
-
All anti Leeds sentiment aside, Summerville is a fantastic footballer.
-
And it's not just his injury, he's also months and months behind the rest of the squad tactically when it comes to the system and then equally, let's not all act like he was an established first team member before the acl. He's an 18 year old. It's not an insult to him if he isn't ready in a lot of ways yet.
-
I dont think he needs to be registered that's not the problem. I just don't think Enzo thinks he's as ready as foxestalk does.
-
Kane was great at Millwall playing in his proper position. We took him on loan when we didn't really need him and played him out of his natural role. We never had any evidence at Leicester really that he wasn't good enough to step up. I quite like Casadei and I wish him well but he was quite a bit off the pace in the Championship. His passing is a weakness in his game, it was often wayward and his touch is inconsistent. Takes him way too long to get the ball under control and the Premiership is faster still. He's young, he's got years to improve, he just isn't ready yet and rushing him won't help.
-
But this is like us being short and so relying on Oli Ewing or Arjan Raikhy. Even with Chelsea's dubious recent financial record you'd expect them to have money left to conjure up even just a high-end loan from a Champions League club or something.
-
I don't want to be rude but Casadei is nowhere near ready for the Premier League. That's a poor move by Chelsea. Both Chelsea and Casadei's people seem to be have a really odd view of his level. Think he needs a Championship club where he'd start every game for a season. He just isn't up to the pace of the English game yet and that'll be a lot worse up a level.

Hermansen Ricardo, Faes, Coady, JJ Winks Akgun*, KDH Fatawu, Mavididi Cannon/Daka There you go. That's an eleven that we have all but secured for next season. I've put an asterisk by Akgun because it's clearly not his natural position and he's the player in that side I'd be least comfortable with but I'm sure we won't struggle to find an actual box to box midfielder to play there. Regardless, if that 11 played the majority of the 38 games in a Premier League season under Enzo Maresca, I'd personally be surprised and disappointed if it was battling relegation all year. Would it comfortably push for the top half? No absolutely not. But I'd bet there'll be three or four teams worse.

The problem we've had this year is that we still have a lot of the dead wood and expensive contracts on the books that are padding out the squad. A lot was made of the fact that a few left in the summer but we still had a fair few more. Ndidi, Iheanacho, Vardy, Thomas, Praet, Vestergaard, Smithies are all out of contract the summer coming and Ward will be in the last year of his contract. That's a huge amount of wages with only Vestergaard and Ndidi really being regular starters and frankly with the ability to offer Premier League football, I'd expect us to be able to replace both for lower wages even in the current market. We'll also have a significant bump back up in prize and television money to add to the war chest that's covered by FFP along with anything we can make off Soumaré and Souttar which should also be easier once we're technically in to next season. People shouldn't be expecting us to suddenly spend 80, 90 million but we'll have a moderate amount to spend next year. Plus, let's not be melodramatic, even without reinforcements this team probably wouldn't go straight back down.

Would you support a "Super League"?
Finnegan replied to ozleicester's topic in General Football and Sport
I voted no because, realistically, I think we all know what a super league would look like and "in an ideal world" never happens. But if you could trust the body running it and there were no clever loopholes or any nonsense it was just straight meritocracy and basically an extra tier of the period that applied across all of Europe or its top leagues at least? I could maybe go for it. But Promotion and Relegation wouldn't really work properly because you do it one of two ways, either you always relegate the lowest ranked team from each country every year so every participating country always has one promotion and relegation or else you just do it "normally" and every year the bottom team drops out and every year you have a playoff to get in and eventually the super league just fills up with English teams cos the Prem is still gonna have more money than Spain, France, Germany, Italy, etc. So even in a perfect world it's flawed either way. -
Nah man want Patson home on the earliest plane back. Hope Zambia lose every game

Yeah I mean, look, with my Leicester hat on I'd love to see Everton and Forest playing Boston in National League North. But trying to be as neutral as possible, it's completely amoral that billionaires who don't even live in this county can risk the very existence of football clubs that aren't just a business they're communities in and of themselves and ones that are deeply rooted in both the culture but also the economy of their local areas. The wider ripple effect if Everton cease to exist would be tragic, as much as I'd no doubt get enjoy the schadenfreude with my Leicester hat back on cos football fans are petty, tribal twats and I'm not above that.

I know I've made this point a few times recently, probably including this thread, but I have no problem (in the context of FFP) with Man City winning stuff and I don't give a shit if they broke X or Y FFP guideline. The whole thing is hypocritical and senseless. Man City have resources only surpassed by Newcastle, they've got some of the wealthiest owners on the planet. Yet despite this they can't spend as much as United, Liverpool or even Arsenal because they don't sell as many shirts in China, America or Japan? It's ridiculous. It's hypocritical, protectionist shit designed to keep the old guard at the top table. FFP is a misnomer, it shouldn't ever have been called Fair Play it should have been called something like Sustainability or Responsible Management Rules. It's supposed to be about protecting football clubs (and by clubs I mean the institutions themselves, the fans, the cities, the staff, everything) from irresponsible, self interested owners and investors. Everton and Forest are spending disgusting amounts of money that they don't have. This is the difference. There is no threat to Manchester City's existence brought on by their owners, like them or not they're a paragon of good business practice. But Everton and Forest are suicidal and moronic in their management. Taking my Leicester cap off and being as neutral as I can, though, I don't necessarily think that points deductions, expulsions and fines are the best approach. Especially in the case of a repeat offender which is what Everton will be. What I'd really like to see is actual law, law put in place by government, that empowers the government and the FA to work together to force bad owners out with a much lower threshold than now. Everton's owners have been proven not fit for purpose and, frankly, so have Forest's. They're saddling the club with mountains and mountains of debt and the worst part is it'll all be in the club's name through a mess of loans. When the shit hits the fan they'll be able to sell up and walk away with more millions, it'll be the clubs that are left behind fvcked. If the government can force Chelsea to be sold and strip Abramovich of ownership because of Ukraine, Everton and Forest's owners could and should be forced to sell up for the sakes of protecting those ancient clubs as major UK cultural institutions because right now they're being held hostage.

Stop the planet I'm getting off. Seriously fvck this shit. I'm done. You should our squad announcement for the 6N. It's like a who's who of literally "who?" So that's our most talented winger in generations off to cosplay being American whilst our second most talented winger is pretending to be English. Add that to Regan Grace ready to sack off union and fvck off back to Super League after one injury and let's not even talk about the Joe Hawkins debacle. Honestly fvck the WRU. Fvck them so much.

Yeah good shout that one. Either way.
