Even for you (and that's saying a lot) this is just an absolutely abysmal take.

LCFC 3-2 Millwall - FA Cup - Post Match Thread

Love a good foxestalk post match reaction -
Weird game this. Should have scored five or six. Both conceded were sloppy af.

Needs a loan. I think we know that tbf.

It wouldn't surprise me enormously if he doesn't feature much until the back end of the season. I think we all assumed because Wanya and Kasey were getting so much football at the start of the year that Alves would be a shoe in when he recovers. But now those two are largely out and Enzo has settled in to a comfortable rotation of his first choice, I don't think he's in a rush to force Alves in to the first team. When he first came back from injury pretty sure Maresca said then something on the lines of we'll see what he's like in the reserves first. Wilf being injured just means more of Casadei, Praet and Yunus in the starting eleven I assume.
-
He's not going anywhere unless we sign a replacement now that Wilf is out for a significant chunk of the rest of the season.

I thought this at the start of the year. Theoretically, I think you're right on paper. I think Soumare has all the technical and physical attributes to shine in this system in that role. But he just doesn't seem to have whatever factor X he needs in terms of personality to make it work. I hate seeing footballers dismissed as "lazy" as I think a lot of the times it's overly simplistic and often complete rubbish but in his case he often seems lethargic, inconsistent and disinterested. I've never met him and I'm not a qualified psychiatrist but I'm not sure you need to be to recognise something is off with him. And yeah, Rodgers has a personality somewhere between David Brent and Patrick Bateman and maybe Enzo would have more joy getting through to him but Maresca has made it perfectly clear he only wants to work with players that want to be here and are committed and it's seemed like Soumare has been halfway out the door since May. If he and his agent still think he can do a job at clubs like Sevilla and Napoli, I don't see him doing a Daka and getting his head down and grafting and patiently, happily waiting for his chance. He's done here imo. I've made peace with it and I can't say I care anymore.

It's not "an opinion piece" it's a post from an extremely biased Coventry fan in denial whose head we live in for free whilst most of our fanbase haven't given Coventry a second thought in the decade in question. Who gives a shit. I know this thread gets weirdly desperately needy vibes a lot but if we bothered ourselves with the opinions of every single fan of other clubs on the internet it's all we'd ever post.

Thought Blue Eye Samurai on Netflix would be a nice bit of stylistic light watching with decent art in a similar vein to Arcane. Was not ready for the Tarantino levels of violence or Game of Thrones levels of smut Been entertaining. The creators are DEFINITELY fans of Kill Bill and Fistful of Dollars. Some of the action choreography is fantastic.

He's not a "very good player." He's an alright one that possibly could still develop. If he was 18, 19 I'd think there's something quite early Harvey Barnes about him we should be nurturing but he's a 22 year old that struggles to beat his man, seems to lack a bit of creativity and has been significantly outshone by our other wide players now that the season is up and running and the team has a good grasp of their roles. He has good instincts, good movement off the ball and is an unusually composed finisher for one so inexperienced. He also grafts well defensively. I do like him. But if he's a diamond at all he's an amazingly rough one that's a long way from proving himself actually settled at this level let alone the one we're rapidly on course for. Given we've shown the ability to find three wingers in just the last window that are all better than him and all look like they have higher ceilings, the prospect of cashing in isn't exactly ridiculous. I'd love it if he kept up his goals per minute rate over his whole career and became another Leicester academy win and I promise you @Stadt would love that more than anyone. He loves an academy graduate. But it looks like a bit of a stretch atm. Hopefully we loan him out to a Championship club next year that'll play him a good 30+ starts minimum and then we'll really know where he's at.

I mean we've played everyone in the league, it's halfway done, we're still a country mile ahead of everyone. If its only because we've faced the easy teams I'm not sure what's left

They probably knew even then there was too much money in the Premier League for it to ever be implemented honestly..

What Game Are You Playing At The Moment ?

So you're upset that a bunch of games you haven't played won awards over a PS exclusive that was pretty. Okay. Sometimes I forget it's actually pointless talking to you about games. -
Don't expect any significant rotation to be honest. Week breaks before and after pretty much. He'll want to keep up the winning habit and treat all games the same.
-
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think they're closer to 17th place now than they are to us
-
What, very League One?

Eh. Like I've said before, their whole shtick is making out that the Championship is the most exciting, competitive, difficult league in the world. At the start of the year they were predicting Middlesbrough ( ) would win the league and that the newly relegated sides would struggle, including us. When we won our first few games the narrative had to be that we weren't playing well and that we were getting lucky because they were desperate for us to struggle. When we continued to win and continued to make the league look easy they had to pretty much just continue to moan about it and try and put it down because if we absolutely piss the league it debunks a lot of their hype about the amount of quality that's supposed to be in here. They like Leeds BECAUSE Leeds are struggling an acceptable amount and also because they play football that's a bit, I suppose, less "pretentious." The narrative will no doubt shift at the end of the year when we smash every record going, they'll just use us to have a moan about parachute payments and how unfair it all is which, not gonna lie, is probably right. None of us are pretending that it's a level playing field and I think we all acknowledge we're too good to be here and never should have been. But it's not like we fvcking wanted to get relegated.

I have no issue with anyone having a preference. Like I said, I don't really like either GOW or Elden Ring. They wouldn't be in my top five games of any year. But I appreciate they're widely regarded as fantastic games by a massive amount of both players and critics and I can understand why they won more awards than Horizon, which I really liked. It's a bit like I personally think The Leftovers and The Newsroom are two of the best shows ever made by HBO and that I personally prefer both to The Sopranos. But if there were to be an award show for the greatest HBO drama of all time I wouldn't exactly call it a disgrace if the Sopranos won (although I might say sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeit.) -
He's playing his best football in years and seems pretty happy. It wouldn't surprise me if he signs a new deal when promotion is confirmed. Probably depends what clubs are sniffing around.
-
Yeah. It wouldn't surprise me if he's prioritising the league over AFCON and has withdrawn out of caution more than because the injury would keep him out of the whole tournament. But I'm assuming he does have a genuine injury and isn't just gonna rock up in our next game with complete troll face on.

"Disgrace" is a bit ridiculous when it was up against Elden Ring and God of War tbf. Which category do you think it should have won? Especially given it had a bit of "Tears of the Kingdom" syndrome in that it was largely "more of the same." I really like the Horizon games don't get me wrong but the first went up against BOTW and the second went up against Elden Ring. I mean. You might have a personal preference for Horizon and that's fine, I can relate, I personally don't even like Soulslikes or GOW, but you really going to sit there and say either Horizon should objectively have won? -
Lmao the steam awards with some hilarious results this year. RDR2 gets the labour of love award. Rockstar have done no development on it or it's online mode for two years or more hahaha. And most innovative gameplay goes to Space Skyrim

r/Championship was pretty funny last week. For a couple of weeks now, Leeds fans (its all Leeds fans) have been chirping about how we're going to implode because of AFCON (we could lose every single game during AFCON and they still wouldn't catch us, muppets.) Then we smash Huddersfield 4 - 1 with ANOTHER striker coming in and scoring a brace after we'd pulled Daka out of obscurity to bag a few and the collective malaise of the rest of the chasing pack as they realised they'd been hilariously premature was quite amusing.

Sharky has six months left on his contract, has already had a recent and unsuccessful Championship loan and is pretty liked and respected around the club. I'll be surprised if we move him on in January really.
