No, we do what we did with Aluko: give him no minutes, then suddenly need him and throw him on for his first start from nowhere. Then we can go back to completely ignoring him.

The tracking back was a really strong part of his game before especially under Enzo. Did anyone else think he looked off when he scored the other night? He didn't celebrate, didn't smile. I thought he looked completely knackered all game.

Jesus Christ what a terrible day to have eyes -
Nobody outside the bubble takes them seriously now. Problem is the bubble includes a large section of supporters.

Going on the last 5 performances, you'd be hopeful that we could beat our season's PPG over the 9 fixtures. 4 wins puts us on 50 points. So that could be wins against Wednesday, Blackburn, Portsmouth and one other - got to look at QPR. Do that and get a couple of draws and we might squeak it. Still that would mean a 50% uplift in points per game compared to now, even including Rowett's games in charge.

I disagree. If we go down our owners will point to the deduction as some sort of injustice, institutional punishment for trying to be ambitious and break into the Big 6. This will allow them to pretend that the disastrous recruitment on and off the pitch, the decision paralysis at crucial moments, the godawful millstone contracts and the shocking leadership didn't happen over the last 5 years.

It's just Steve Cooper in a Rowett mask. It's Steve Coopers all the way down.

It's really that simple. Top can't even sell if we go down.

I'd like to think these players on high wages would mutually terminate rather than see the club bankrupt itself out of existence, but there's always the Dennis Wise option

He's the kind of player who, if you stuck him in a team of galacticos would get plaudits from nerds for 'quietly running the game' and 'keeping the whole thing moving' because he makes short, tidy passes and occasionally shoots from the edge of the box. But ask him to play any kind of productive football in a side where he's one of the best players, he's just not got much to offer.

I don't often agree with you! But this is why I can't get on board with the 'if relegation is what it takes to get rid.of King Power then I hope we go down' point of view. Firstly, Top can't (and has said publicly that he won't) sell if we go down because we won't have anything like the value that he needs to recoup. Secondly, if we get relegated we will be so comprehensively insolvent that we will undoubtedly go out of business. This isn't even close to the last time we went down there. The 'reset' would be existential.
