Three players that Enzo has called out as being key - Mads, Jannik and Ricardo - all cocked up massively tonight in ways that would have cost us goals against anyone who wasn't completely crap.

I'm no tactician but in the first few games there seemed to be more balls pinged up quickly to the top of this box midfield, into the feet of the 8s. From there it might come back, but usually only one step to Winks or Ricardo before moving forwards again. The difference between Maresca and Rodgers was that Rodgers' side seemed bogged down around the halfway line exchanging the ball between the defence and the DMs, whereas at the start of this season we were progressing the ball much quicker through the thirds. That seems to have slowed as he's had more time coaching the system, and I am starting to get that sinking Brendan feeling again...

Can anyone convince me that scoreline aside we aren't getting battered here?

I have faith in Hamza, he has matured and he's got the drive. He'll do a job today I'm sure.

Enzo said he's been dropping in to some sessions when they need him, but with youngsters he takes a careful approach especially returning from injury. I like that it can be fluid, takes the pressure off - both the player, who doesn't have one 'big chance' and the manager, who can manage expectations and doesn't have to commit to promoting a youngster to the top ranks

Frustrating in front of goal at times, several wasted chances dragged wide or skied over the bar and most worryingly dawdled on until the chance had passed.

Nacho stinking the place up so far. We look very narrow, hardly a look-in for Mavididi, McAteer looks off it. Boro are sloppier than us with the ball which is a blessing.

You reckon the penalty box has looked a bit tame because Enzo's compromised his system to fit Vardy and Nacho, or because Vardy and Nacho haven't been playing well enough within the system? I'd love Cannon to be an effective bit of the jigsaw - threats down both sides and a fox in the box would be amazing.

Enzo says he's ready to be included in the squad - could see a run out tomorrow. As a Maresca signing I'm really keen to see how he approaches the role, whether he plays as deep as we've seen Vards and Kelechi so far and what he does when he's there.

Leeds defended well. Looked like they shut the wings down in the second half, which was where our threat was coming from. Mavididi looked primed to pull something out first half then didn't really get a sniff. It's a fair result. Choudhury looked good doing his thing when he came on, but we'd probably have done better if he'd started for Casadei and kept it tight, maybe brought Kasey on for a goal threat later in the game. Ricardo and Faes both immense, Fatawu looked very good again until late on when his switches started going astray. Casadei, Faes and Vesty had a mare defending the corner that we conceded from.
