  1. A great sliding doors moment really. Was is O'Neill leaving, and replacing a strong man manager in MON with a pathetic Taylor was that did it, or was it him breaking his leg and even if MON was with us it wouldn't have made a difference about his attitude? I'd love someone to do a detailed hypothesis of how we'd have done if MON had stayed, £11m+ in the bank to spend from the Heskey sale, a fit and motivated Collymore* and Neil Lennon staying at the club rather than joining him at Celtic. How does that 00/01 go?
  2. Grifter, mentally ill or both, she was in so deep she'd sacrifice her daughter for the cause. Astounding really, and incredibly sad.
  3. This is a bit of a "do I remember this right" but was the Man Utd 20k game the same night as Walkers launched Walkers Lites? I'm sure I remember having a free packet when I was a kid at one of these as part of their promo. Remember being there with my cousin and auntie as well as dad and sister. If it wasn't the Utd game there was definitely one where they had free Walkers Lites. Just hoping it's not a false memory of a 6/7 year old!
  4. Already want it to expand to 48-teams https://www.theguardian.com/football/2025/jun/11/fifa-48-team-club-world-cup-europe All the football.
  5. I hope the attendances are absolutely terrible. If there's one thing that'll suck the sense of occasion out of this it'll be a sea of empty seats and no atmosphere. A vanity competition created because Infantino is jealous of UEFA, funded by the Saudis and hosted in a country deploying the armed forces on its own citizens. What could be better? Oh, the prize money will probably also propel or continue the dominance of several teams in their domestic/continental leagues. That's what could be better.
  6. They can't PR weasel their way out of this one so have taken the vow of silence. KPFC army will be on the case anyway reinforcing how we "need as much money as possible" to compete, and "other clubs do dodgy deals" so why should we care so much. Let your loyal foot soldiers do the job when you can't.
  7. Keith Hackett is a rent-a-gob who does all he can to stay relevant and shit on PGMOL as much as possible. He's done a great number here in spouting something which has been extrapolated to a PGMOL bashing baity article based on.... not much.
  8. Hakimi spending more time apologising to the Inter fans for scoring against his old team than celebrating the goal putting your current team ahead in a UCL final. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
  9. Terrible manager but fair play to him for sticking about waiting for his ££££. Journalists and fans openly hawking about who the next manager is going to be and his useless bosses haven't even got rid of him. Good lad for sitting on his hands and making them take the financial penalty they deserve to pay for such ineptitude.
  10. Same. I was bought up on VHS season reviews, video magazines and compilations. The season review for 93/94 and playoff highlights tape gave an almost mythical flavour of the day. Warm sunshine, happy fans and the culmination of three years of hard, hard work. As you went through the tapes and highlights in the 90s it was just normal that we'd have a day out at Wembley (and the weather always seemed to be amazing for us...) Here's a couple of videos I managed to scramble from a tape someone gave me a few years ago, Central News at the post-promotion trophy parade at Viccy Park.
  11. Appeals perfectly to his fanbase though doesn't it. Positive affirmation to them that they are open minded. Gives them more ammunition to believe they are, and to refute anyone who accuses them of being closed minded.
  12. Forest owner devastated to find out he can't buy referees and results in the Premier League. Big fan.
  13. Absolutely rubbish race, and changing tyre rules only exposes it more. The super rich and those in attendance love it, as do the F1 bods who get to go for free. For us viewers it's a pathetic procession. If it was any other circuit it would've been binned off ages ago.
  14. Who could've predicted that the usual faces on FT would be annoyed Hamilton got penalised for an incident with Verstappen? Not me, not me at all. 🙀🙀🙀 I think Lewis could shoot Max in the face and it'd somehow on here it'd be harsh to charge him with murder 😂😂😂
  15. Love a sheff utd away day so very selfishly happy with the result.
  16. Lol Forest fans love it on their forum, and you know if it happened to us people on here would love it too. People love oppression of speech if it doesn't align with their speech. People are pathetic. Such is life.
  17. He'll get zero honeymoon period and zero shrift. I can already hear the annoyance and antagonism in the kop when we're losing at home to Preston in mid-October, lying in 8th place and trying to play the ball out from the back.
  18. The irony that Farage is exactly the type of elite who will be laughing at the people he most appeals to. I have to say I admire his persistence at the grift and how he's cultivated the image of being the everyman's saviour. One thing I find so weird is the blind loyalty. Farage and Reform MPs - and now councillors - could shit on their supporter's kids' Xmas pressies and they'd blame it on the left giving him a laxative. Really smokes out the people who have zero knowledge of the nuance of the 115 charges. Several on this forum, too. Also the time this has taken. Yes, because Man City have lawyered up and every single charge needs to be heard and adjudicated on. People seem to want this to happen in a three day trial. Come on now.
  19. They only get changed with 14 votes, so the cartel will a fair few other teams to join them and be complicit. I'm sure our board would be on their knees desperate to appease them if we had a chance to vote.
  20. I hope so, the Race podcast sounded out some interesting theories as to whether any will dive into the pits at the end of the first lap to get one out of the way. Also anyone gambling on a late change being penalised if there's a red flag and they don't get to do the second stop. I guess it's intriguing? Otherwise we all know Saturday is actually the most exciting part for who gets pole.
  21. Got beaten to it but came here to say how awful this game is quality wise. Honestly so, so terrible.
  22. This is absolute reactionary bollocks. It's not healthy to think this way. Mainly because a few years ago when we got good again we decided we wanted to be part of the exclusive club. We voted WITH the big teams. We thought we'd made it when we finished fifth twice in a row and seemed to stop using our brains. It is absolutely criminal that people are giving the club yet another pass because of the conspiratorial nonsense that suits in PL and FL offices are desperate to see us fail. If the club had true leadership it would actually adhere to the rules whilst vehemently, vehemently campaigning against them. Public calls for change, open and honest about how it's hamstrung the club. Whatever. You don't sit silently and fail time and time again and then try to weedle out of it. That's not sustainable.
  23. This. Absolutely god damn this. Don't do what the club wants you to do - distract you with legal loopholes and whataboutery. Yes, this rule is far from perfect but we've known about it, we've voted on the bloody thing and still we don't seem to give a shit. Absolutely negligent. I could understand if they went "we're fully sending it" to spend loads, survive well and take a deduction like Notts Forest and Everton have done, but they've not. They're trying to loophole their way out of flagrantly ignoring the rules and then claiming innocence.
  24. Don't agree with you on many things on this forum, Kenny, but agree with this. Pleased that the trust is showing some teeth, but the leading questions give the club an easy way out when or if they choose to respond. We know they don't care about our opinions. They haven't really since we got relegated and they fluked a head coach who could get us back up. Personally I think they think we'll do the same next season and will go bigger with no PSR threat over use in 26/27.
  25. Ironically winning the Conference League would be harder than the two European Cups they keep banging on about. How much respect and kudos do we give West Ham for winning it? Exactly. So they will get the same medicore response.
