  1. Love how brave Bournemouth are. Kept going for the win right to the end.
  2. The only positive thing that I can say about the second half performance is that it's proven that I still do care about this club as I've woken up this morning still absolutely fuming about it. We completed only 47 accurate passes in 50 minutes, including injury time, with a pass accuracy of 52%!!! These are the kind of stats you might see from a poor League 2 side. They are truly alarming. I get that we can't expect to dominate for 90 minutes away at a side who are decent for the level but we were completely overrun in that second half. It was humiliating to watch Jakub time wasting to try to secure us a point in the last 10 minutes or so. We simply could not get out of our own half for nearly the entire half. We had 3 rapid attackers on the pitch and yet not once did we look a threat on the counter, despite the fact Bristol City were pushing so high up the pitch. How has our "manager" not been able to coach the team to hit teams on the break? Words fail me.
  3. Cifuentes can only dream of having Martin's record in the Championship. He's a Spanish Craig Levein.
  4. By the way, we must be the worst side in the league at counter attacking, despite having 2 of the best wingers. How can he not coach us to be a threat when the oppo are pushing forward a lot?
  5. Get him gone. Totally rancid second half. Awful subs again. We managed 47 (!!!) accurate passes in the whole of the second half. It was like we were playing away at Man City.
  6. Absolutely love the pod but how come you all pronounce Faes as 'Fez'? Bugs the pedant in me!
  7. Hi, mate. This is how things are from our perspective. Essentially, we've been garbage all season apart from the odd wonder goal, the occasional 30 minutes of good play and Jordan James. Our fanbase detest most of our players and many of those players hardly give a sh1t, despite being paid obscene wages that they don't deserve. Oh, and despite raising about £400m in transfer sales over the past 7 or 8 years, we're in such massive trouble with PSR that we're going to get a points deduction and can't afford to sign any players. But other than that, it's all going swimmingly.
  8. Not having him. Still not had a single 90 minute performance of the required quality. I get that Derby were always going to have a go second half but we were so poor in possession and offered no threat on the break, which was really disappointing. Another game where we’ve had very few shots, but luckily we were clinical today.
  9. Really good first half but was not happy with the second half at all, so little composure on the ball and not a single shot on goal. Skipp superb throughout and James also brilliant again.
  10. If he's selected Silko over Monga by choice then he's more clueless than I thought. Silko is way off the level.
  11. Tbh I don't think we need to worry too much about what Ipswich are doing. Can't see us being anywhere near the play offs, let alone autos. Main thing is that we stay up.
  12. Yep. Would have been justice if Blackburn had won tonight.
  13. Anyone know the last time we won a 12.30 Saturday KO? Feels like we lose these every time.
  14. I know he's become a joke figure but Martin's record in the Championship at both Swansea and Southampton is light years ahead of what Marti has achieved so far at QPR and with us.
  15. Just checked Sofascore and discovered that Jakub and Begovic combined have prevented 5.5 goals over what would be expected. That is the highest of any team in the league.
  16. These are beginning to pick up. Fear the worst again.
  17. Assume there will be another 500 back up for sale after tonight’s “performance”.
  18. Let it sink in that our starting XI tonight cost over £100m. Pretty sure that we also still have the highest wage bill in the league. It really is incompetence of the highest order that all of that investment has created such a shambolic team even in what is a really poor Championship this season.
  19. I totally agree that Marti is a lower end Championship manager and his tactics tonight made no sense given Saints have been looking so good on the counter. But in terms of personnel, that back 4 sadly picked itself, given Okoli, Nelson, Souttar, Thomas and VK are all unavailable. We could have played Ricky P but it’s a huge risk to select him for 2 games in 4 days and in any case, much as I love him, he was probably our worst player against Stoke.
  20. Only Mansfield, Notts County and Chesterfield to go!
  21. Talk of play offs is totally unrealistic even without a points deduction, I think. On paper we should be doing a lot better but this group of players are so damaged mentally, so unconnected to the fans and so demotivated that anything more than hoping we limp to safety is unrealistic. The best case scenario is that Marti gets us to around 50 points after a points deduction - the sort of stuff he delivered 2 seasons running at QPR with a worse squad. We can then offload him and all of the many out of contract big earners next summer, allowing the new manager the financial headroom to build a brand new, hungry squad of players. The problem with this is that Top and Rudkin will still be here to oversee this rebuild, which gives scant hope it will be successful. How did it come to this?
  22. 2 offside goals and a foul in the build up to their other goal but let's face it Marti is so poor. Absolutely clueless to play a high line in this game when we've got Vesty in defence and you saw how devastating they were on the break at the weekend. Why didn't we sit in and look to hit them on the break, as we did in other games against weaker teams like Charlton and Boro? Was also ridiculous that he's not given Aluko a few minutes here and there before now, rather than throwing him into the team for a debut in what is likely to be one of our toughest away games this season? We've not had a single really good performance this season under his leadership. No players have improved. If anything, we're getting worse. His prior record suggested he would lead us to a bottom half finish and he's on track to deliver that.
  23. Reckon this will make all STHs? I'm assuming not, given the size of the allocation.
  24. The fact we should have buried them suggests we played pretty well against a team who are the runaway leaders. We just failed to finish our chances and their keeper played really well. The only time this season when we've really worked a keeper very often.
  25. Quite surprised to see Birmingham at home popping up in this thread. We had only 5 shots (2 on target) all game in that one. So even fewer shots than in yesterday's game, which everyone is regarding as bang average at best.
