  1. Same. Scored 1 goal at the Kop end in the last 6 home games.
  2. Cov at home was also largely decent. One of the few games where I've thought we were the better team on the day.
  3. Pretty much a rerun of the Boro game, only we didn't concede a late equaliser. Classic Martiball really - awful in general play, bailed out by 2 quality goals from pretty much nowhere. This was a manager who said at 1 goal up his team would be going for more goals. Yeah right, Marti.
  4. He's picked all of the fans' favourites today!
  5. Saints coming into form just in time to play us.
  6. Got a problem with the car so haven't been able to drive up from London for this. Phew!
  7. Genuinely astonished we've lost this so meekly in the end. At least expected a tense run chase for them. Imagine how many overs we'd have survived in the match if Cummins and Hazelwood had been playing - scary.
  8. This has to be the quietest pre-match thread for a long time. A good demonstration of the current levels of apathy.
  9. Vestergaard has many faults as a defender but let's not make out that he is not really good on the ball, especially in the Championship. And not all of his passes are simple 5 yard passes; he's really good at line breaking passes. The problem is that Marti is rinsing that as a tactic so other teams are now wise to it. If we used passes like this as a part of a variety of tactics they would be much more effective, as we saw under Enzo.
  10. Now gets himself booked so misses the final qualifier on Tuesday. At least he'll be fresher for our game on Saturday.
  11. Get in, JJ. His first goal for Wales.
  12. Sounds fishy to me.
  13. As vile as it sounds, we're surely all Leeds today? Another defeat for F*rest and they'll be starting to get cut adrift.
  14. I don't care what team Marti selects from now on so long as none of Ayew, Skipp and Soumaré are playing. The improvement yesterday when Skipp and Ayew were withdrawn was seismic.
  15. Probably the best we can field, sadly. Not picking Skipp and Ayew is a must.
  16. Very happy with the win but still want the manager gone. For 2/3 of the game that was a largely hideous performance against a team horribly out of form and low on confidence. This guy will never get us anywhere near promotion.
  17. Dire. We just aren't able to control possession and build pressure.
  18. I've given up with Marti now. Nothing will get better with him in charge.
  19. Agree. I've been racking my brain all morning thinking of how we can field a good line up with the players we have available. It's really difficult! I think I'd probably go for this: Bego Okoli Vesty Nelson Ricardo Winks James Aluko Fatawu Mavididi Monga
  20. He is but it is also fair to say that it has taken him a long time to get it right at Derby. They won 1 of their first 10 this season, culminating in being totally outplayed in a defeat at Oxford. Since then they've won 4 (likely to be 5 on the trot). Maybe that gives us some hope, too?
  21. Marti is so clueless I can see him starting with the same XI we played against Boro, as despite being abysmal we almost got a rare win. He actually praised Skipp’s performance in his post match interview!
  22. A Norwich win seems inevitable today.
