  1. There is no swap deal! we have to take in the max fee for kdh re psr. There is no money plus player deal if we want moder then we just pay a fee for him. It would also make sense to do that deal july 1
  2. Moder into the last year of his contract not worth more than 10m imo If we have to get this done by June 30 then Chelsea had better pull their finger out !
  3. If brighton are playing silly buggers on the price have Chelsea got involved to hurry things along ?? Maybe they are happy to see brighton pay more dosh. i seem to recall another ex coach doing us a favour re Kante ??
  4. Romano is having a bad run with us!
  5. Presumably they ask for ultra edge to allow time for the ball tracking to be ready? I reckon if the batsman shouldered arms then they’d still request ultra edge!
  6. Why review that ? he may as well have kicked down his middle stump
  7. Yep do the boys know that the weather has broken here ? we just needed to push three or four twos each over to keep the run rate under control nuts
  8. Salt didn’t need to force it in the over after butter went
  9. Would it be something that needs to be voted on by the clubs? Would it require 14 clubs to prevent the PL setting precedent ? Or 14 clubs to force the PL to take that course of action ?
  10. Main point is that I think a big chunk of reform voters aren’t bothered by views like this to them, the ends justifiy the means
  11. Depends if our legal people believe that an efl sanction can be applied in the PL. if not then we gamble on staying up (with a single sanction of approx 6 points) and the sale in 24/25 helps us to avoid a PL points deduction the following season.
  12. Nah he’s banged his head on a cactus and lost his memory ….
  13. You need to look at it this way what would wilf’s value be with a year left? I reckon the answer is £10/15m . So he’s entitled to ask for a s/o fee of 7.5m and a wage of 65k . If. He signs for another 5 years then I’d expect it to be reported that we’re paying him 95k/week. Bear all this in mind when some of you explode at the wage ……
  14. Buying is way less onerous though because it’s spread over five years. I do accept the basic point you’re making. However, buyers will also demand a reduced fee for doing a June deal. I suspect we might be publicising the KDH stuff now to illustrate the fact that we’re trying to make a sale in June - we may have no intention of doing a June deal cos we’ve decided to go all in on a big efl breach 23/24 and will try and make our epl breach 24/25 (three year rolling) lower so that we get a lesser sanction in the PL 25/26 (assuming we can stay up)
  15. Did Barnes really want to leave ?
  16. We’ll not find out how much of his reported wages are s/o fee and how much is salary think Bertrand on 80k …… prob 50k wages and 30k per week s/o fee (that’s £3m over two years s/o fee)
  17. Negligible prize money The benefits of winning the league will undoubtedly be in 24/25 any bonus’ agreed have to go in 23/24
  18. I wasn’t arguing that the rules are good/bad But the rules are clear and we could have sold barnes in June 2023 to meet that years psr Other clubs did/didn’t and met requirements or failed and suffered a sanction in addition, the number of players leaving at the end of their contracts has been abysmal. We’ve run a sh1tshow of a club on that level. Many tens of millions lost which would probably have meant we’d not fail psr despite relegation.
  19. The club will be no doubt argue that they were correct to budget for a top ten finish based on previous 4 seasons. The commission will argue (quite reasonably) that once it was apparent that a top ten finish was unlikely, steps should have been taken pre January to ensure a profitable sale in that window (rather than spending) to meet psr requirements. and then (more pertinently) more than just madders sale in June.
  20. We’ve ditched nick de Marco and are now employing dynamo and derren brown
  21. Cheika in Aussie out ….. aussie in
  22. this is an illustration of how difficult it is to trust any information out of Gaza The IDF have provided photographic evidence that Fadi was also a PIJ member involved in weapon preparation and planning. They also showed a video of his assassination by drone which shows him cycling and no one in the vicinity. Even if they hired him unaware of his evening job, you would expect MSF to be an NGO that could be trusted to deliver reliable information. also seen some videos coming out of Gaza today that show clashes between Hamas and local clans. It could be that we are beginning to see Hamas’ control breaking down. Would likely be a slow process - the general population are scarred by many years of total Hamas control. They won’t ‘jump’ easily.
  23. Yep - understand that suppose the argument is don’t pick up the first silly yellow for the shirt pull
