  1. Was close 3-2 up and driving forwards looking for another are you allowed to do that ?
  2. They were dreadful and we were hanging on says it all poor subs considering how leggy we were last twenty Marc for Stephy was screaming out to be made
  3. Stupid challenge though
  4. Make some bloody subs
  5. Four times mads has picked out enzo !
  6. Splashing some cash in the championship is a very different thing to in the prem my point is that if ffp is ditched then I reckon we would be a long way down the league ref our spend. And historically those that spend the least tend to be near the relegation area over a period.
  7. Given that we don’t actually have a very very wealthy owner willing to spend on the club, is ffp such a bad thing for us???
  8. Susan didn’t attend his wedding ????
  9. Ric’s in charge otherwise there’s no logical explanation for tete …….
  10. Kilworth must have had a word!
  11. 100% but if sky decide they want it then do we actually get a say ??
  12. The training ground doesn’t affect ffp although the money spent could have been diverted to clearing some debt and reducing the interest payments which affect the bottom line
  13. Why? the accounts will be published later this month and then everyone will know it’s not relevant to this season
  14. Not surprising to see him turn up when there’s an assault ongoing ….
  15. Hopefully all those changes upset their rhythm
  16. They don’t look like stopping want the GD up Odds on 12? hopefully they make another couple challenges like that bogle one and arsenal decide to play keep ball instead
  17. Our record could be in trouble here ……
  18. Liverpool don’t have the richest owners in world football neither do spurs or arsenal granted that they generate huge volumes commercially compared to us which is more relevant than the wealth of the owners. I honestly understand why the club want to keep 17 y o and below out of public view from a safeguarding pov. But the U16 and U18 results/tables are available on line - it’s not like grassroots U11 and below where league tables are hidden. I’m just disappointed that my club don’t want to shout about their younger age groups achievements when they’re worth shouting about!
  19. Not going to query any of that because it’s a well founded reply the U21 should be represented on social media (be it insta or x) - i can see that you don’t question this. the younger age groups should get a special mention when they achieve (as they did this weekend) and the results at U16 and U18 should surely be reported?? I assume that league tables are publicly available so it’s not a secret. It’s not difficult to put accounts on no response so that the morons can’t reply to any of the posts (at whatever age group). If we want the fan base to buy into supporting the club then surely it’s the whole club - not just the first team squad. The best performing clubs are generally those where everyone from top to bottom AND the fanbase are all pulling together.
  20. We don’t know if we’ve broken ffp - hence my premis ‘assuming we have’ if we haven’t then the whole thread is a waste of time ! Spending 10 mill more than we’d already gone over by really won’t make a lot of difference to the sanction (if any). But that 10mill spend will enable you to spend 30 mill on fees and 4 mill in wages over the season in question. the only issue would be if the panel could prove that we already knew we were overspent and continued to spend. I’m sure we could have wriggled out of that position.
  21. either you dont understand what i was saying or i don't understand what you're saying ...... assuming we have broken ffp: 1) we didnt spend in order to avoid breaking ffp 2) we were relegated 3) we broke ffp anyway hence we may as well have spent a bit more in the summer to try and avoid being relegated. whether we broke it by 10 mill or 20 mill isnt going to make much difference to the sanction ????
  22. they might given the nature of the charges - afaik they aren't straight easily provable financial over spends. the rules have changed now so that issues must be dealt with in the season following where the misdemeanor occurred (eg. once accounts are available). so man city will drag it out for as long as they can or possibly come to a deal with the PL whereby most of the charges are dropped and just a few are acted upon in a timely fashion.
  23. the sale is the sale. irrespective of how its paid which is effectively cash flow. if we discount the sale by drawing it down early then i expect that discount goes onto the bottom line. but the discount wouldnt be a huge amount. - and whilst its a facility rather than an actiual draw down of the entire amount then only the interest paid would be relevant. (i assume)
  24. if we failed last year to end june '23 then we'd surely have been mentioned along with forest and everton when the like of maguire were being interviewed ? but there's the anomoly that we are not currently a PL club so not subject to their rules. its possible that the sun have managed to get hold of info that we have failed - but they cant state that as a definite or they effectively admit that someone is leaking info to them. given that we had to sell a number of players last summer, if we have indeed failed due to not getting another sale done by end june then we really are way more grim than any of us could have imagined.
  25. would be the most inept piece of planning in history to be relegated because you didn't spend money in the summer window to avoid breaking ffp and then be relegated whilst still breaking ffp ...... and if it happened we'd still not have one local journo asking the obvious questions .......
