  1. Great escape season perhaps expectations were lower. Once Cambiasso got going I think the confidence came back. I think Albrighton who came on a free made a difference when he broke through. We also had 4 strikers with Vardy’s electric pace, Leonardo holding the ball up and great in the air. Chris Wood and David Nugent didn’t get a lot of time but it shows the depth. Defensively we had some weakness but Wes was outstanding. Might be wrong but did we add Huth and Kramaric in the January. Some brilliant focused recruitment in that period not forgetting Mahrez
  2. Well if he does go I think we do need a striker in ideally now. We rely a ridiculous amount on Jamie playing 90 minutes regularly some sort of injury is almost inevitable
  3. I think Ipswich have got real fight ambition and a striker that looks a bargain. At Leicester we have started so many games negatively not risking creative players perhaps from a fear of being too open. I know defensively we are not great but after 5 losses surely we need a change of approach
  4. I’m just disappointed that Leicester didn’t make changes earlier or risk playing the same line up as v Man City. Every week there are individual mistakes but we are not creating enough to really expect to win games
  5. Villa are strong physically in midfield whether that is why Ayew is in I don’t know. Really wanted the front 4 from last week as it gives Villa more to worry about
  6. He looked good going forwards but I remember he struggled against the pace of Fatawu last season. Can’t see Southampton selling to Leicester anyway
  7. I would stick with the Man City team. The full backs will need to be careful as Villa have Watkins etc on the break. However changing the set up to be more defensive would be a worry as we need results now and parking the bus won’t work IMO
  8. I'd like to see Patson really press the opposition and get a bit more of the ball. On the odd occasion he did this yesterday the likes of Van Dijk didn't look too comfortable.
  9. Plenty of tickets available as you say in G2 and now on general sale to anyone interested
  10. I cannot see a lot of money being spent in January so Leicester are going to need to make the best of the squad they have. IMO playing only 3 attacking players as has happened on a few occasions will invite pressure on the best of defences. Everything feels like a damage limitation compromise that is not getting the best out of anyone. I'd like to see more of Vesty and Bilal they are quality passers of the ball. Could we not recall Souttar Sheffield United have conceded 9 goals in 18 games this season.
  11. Every week seems to be a different system but gets more and more defensive just 3 attacking players on the pitch. RVH will be less than impressed let’s have a go even if it ends up 5 or 6
  12. Need a manager the older players will respect from the start.A big name like RVN would be a much better fit that Carsley who is unproven in Premier league
  13. We needed players starting yesterday that have a bit of passing ability and the ability to do something different. Cooper wasn't prepared to risk Vesty who is good passing out from he back perhaps because of his lack of pace or Mavididi the starting 11 and I think this might be part of the reason why Leicester were stuck in their own half for over half an hour early on. The mindset didn't look right either I think this was mentioned on MOTD we just looked overwhelmed really short of confidence.. However to be fair Cooper is certainly not blessed with the strongest squad and the thought of Ricardo Winks Fatawu being out long term takes us well below top half strength. For those who didn't see the match the referee make little difference to the outcome.
  14. These injuries do raise questions about the focus of the last transfer window. The attacking reinforcements were very last minute with a lot of money spent on Skipp and Okoli to bolster the reasonably strong defensive side when it was clear that a replacement for KDH and another striker or two were needed as a priority . There have been too many games where Vardy and Ayew have played the full 90 minutes and this reliance has been too much IMO given their ages. I don't know what is happening with Edouard he came on after 87 minutes last week all very odd.
  15. I can understand Steve Cooper playing down the significance of the game but it is really important. It is a balance but Leicester are giving away too many chances, corners, crosses etc. Be interesting to see if Ricardo and Jannik are brought in to provide some experience. Thought also needs to be on how to maintain some momentum throughout the game with early use of substitutions. Ipswich will be working flat out for 95 plus minutes will make a few changes during the game and we have to match that energy. We struggled last year to see it out in both matches and my fear it that we will run out of steam .
  16. Pains me to say it but Forest look a very decent team this season solid in defence and good on the counter. Nobody really criticised the look of the starting line up although I didn't understand the reasoning behind some of the substitutions. I think one thing the manager does need to consider is how to maintain momentum over 90 mins with the squad he has. This will need thinking about before Ipswich away because we know from last season that they will make a lot of changes and push for 95 minutes plus if needed
  17. I'm just a bit worried that we look a bit lightweight with both young attacking midfielders playing. I would have preferred Fatawu on the right and Buonanotte more centrally. I think the fullbacks might get exposed. However nice to see something different hope Bilal does OK
  18. Brilliant analysis. The move for the Vardy chance is great to watch. I was confused watching the game as to where Ayew was playing as he seemed to be the number 10 Substitutions seems to be an issue as it was with Enzo. Fatawu was brought on too late IMO - his attacking and defensive attributes could have reduced pressure on Justin. I'm not keen on last minute substitutes - they may help with the clock but players need time to bed in before the final moments.
  19. He has always looked like he can slot goals in. I think the fact that so many teams wanted him on loan could have raised eyebrows and he should have had 2 or 3 starts pre season particularly with Vardy injured and Daka struggling.Just don’t think Cooper wanted to risk trying some youth as he is not the finished article. Hopefully he will come back stronger but he needs time in the team so that players play to his strengths
  20. Thought he would do well. Wasn’t given a chance in pre season but at least only a loan.
  21. Forest have a manager that is prepared to make bold changes at half time to get back into a game. I’m sure they did something similar vs Liverpool and won that one.
  22. The substitutions always seem to be a bit of afterthought late in the day. Last week against Palace the changes in the last 10-15 minutes were difficult to understand and changed the shape of the team when composure was needed. This week after a good early change the rest were done in the last 10 minutes rather than really having a go with fresh legs once the we were level and looking better. It all just seems lacking in planning or ambition and of course several players are seeing very little first team action which cannot help morale
  23. Although Jannik lacks pace it is easy to underrate his passing abilities. It seems to me that Cooper won’t risk him getting caught out of position and I wonder whether Ricardo is another one he worries about if he strays forward. Creative players almost seem to be too much of a risk whilst solid performers like Wilf and Ayew will always feature. Of course there may be roles for different types of players but the balance seems wrong.
  24. Although Ayew has done well agree he is a great asset off the bench and I was thinking last week that having Vardy and Ayew starting together might be an issue maintaining momentum late on. You would think with the strength that Skipp and Winks provide we could start Buonanotte but that requires a bit of bravery in what will be quite a physical game I think. Personally I'd like one or two risks taken to bring in a bit of flair. If we cannot do this at home when can it be done. I suspect El Khannouss might start in the cup game but probably not tomorrow.
  25. Everton have had a few out with illness including Calvert- Lewin and of course some will have played midweek although it looks like they kept some players back. Going to be a real battle wouldn't underestimate them but at the same time please lets set up on the front foot.
