  1. People need to realise that Top either doesn't understand what he's looking at or doesn't care. He's happy to let Rudkin "run" the club for him and he DEFINITELY doesn't know what he's doing!
  2. That's plenty for me. No point in watching that.
  3. Getting ready to watch your team play shouldn't sound like your about to attend a pool part at Michael Barrymore's house.
  4. Inresting thought about the nations league. If Scotland win tonight, we stay in the top tier of the league but is that better? We aren't going to win the tournament so we can't qualify for the euros through it. However, if we lose and are relegated down, we then open up another path of qualification outside the qualification groups, against teams we have a better chance of beating. The last two tournaments, we've benefited from the nations league. We qualified directly through it and last time, we had the safety net of playoffs if we needed it. There IS a benefit for teams like us in the lower groups but none in the top tier so it begs the question, why would we want to win tonight?
  5. I've got two frames beside my bed. One is a congratulations letter my wife got me from the club for our wedding, signed by the squad and one is a sheet with all our fixtures/results, squad, stats and final league table of our PL winning season that my wife gave me on our first anniversary.
  6. Hermansen Faes Kante Winks Vardy
  7. Until they change their relationship status, I wouldn't get too excited.
  8. Vardy and Vichai are the only two I can settle on. The other two would be between O'Neil, Pearson, Ranieri, Walsh, Lineker, Andy King and Kasper.
  9. I'm not saying it's easy. I'm saying that having a manager that CAN'T or WON'T address our tactical fragilities isn't a better option than replacing him with someone who MIGHT come up against the same problems.
  10. It's going to be Alex Scott. Fills quotas (gay, woman of colour) whilst I also think she's good at what she does and has good knowledge of the game.
  11. Then he isn't a football manager. Adjusting and addressing tactical weakness' whilst exposing the oppositions IS his job. Stripped back, that's his primary function as a manager. Just ignoring it in fear of creating an issue elsewhere isn't really an option.
  12. Who said anything about making us contenders? It's simply a case of addressing a clear weakness in our game which you would think a manager of a "reasonable pedigree" would do. Yet, he's hasn't even though it's been exposed all season. You are right though, we are only fans so if we can see this weakness then actual managers of the opposition certainly can and taking no action is going to result in more of the same.
  13. Yes. Asking him to play a role he's comfortable with? Absolutely. Especially if you protect him with Fatawu (who isn't one to shy away from his defensive duties) playing a more traditional winger role, instead of this drifting into the 10 position nonsense that Cooper likes from his RW which leaves the RB even more exposed.
  14. We don't need to replace him with anyone. Just scrap this high RB nonsense and have our fullback in the fullback position. Common sense says he won't be out of position as much if he isn't required to leave that position.
  15. I'm the same. Will have the game on in the background but don't pay the same attention I used to and don't really care when we lose all that much. Same as on here, agonising and discussing our club for hours seems absolutely pointless when no one t the club seems to be doing the same.
  16. This is one I wouldn't mind Ndidi, Skipp and Winks start. Crowd out the CM position and have Buonnanotte start on the right, drifting in centrally with Ricardo overlapping and JJ tucking in with the CB's to make it a back 3 on the ball.
  17. So, yes. I'm a knob. After closer inspection I realised my treadmill measures in km and not miles which makes far more sense. So I'm currently topping in at 3km in 18 minutes which given I'm 39 and 18st and have only been running for a fortnight I'm still pretty chuffed with.
  18. That was step one. First two weeks I cut out snacks and fizzy drinks (except a Friday, I'll have a treat but nothing crazy), I kept my meals pretty much the same (I'm a massive fan of veg so most meals are predominantly veg anyway) but cut my potion sizes, stopped eating after 7pm and don't eat again till 12 the next day (I'm not a breakfast guy) so unintentionally fast and massively upped my water intake. After two weeks I added the running. I'm a month in and have dropped 1.2 stone so I'm pretty happy with that. It definitely motivates me to keep going.
  19. I'm not there yet. Quite the opposite. I really love and look forward to my 20 miles on the treadmill just now. I push myself hard but I know once I've cooled down and gone in a shower, I'll feel great. I also like closing the cupboard door and putting the heat on, the sweating is cathartic although lack of air admittedly is probably not a bright idea.
  20. Thanks mate. Very much appreciated. I always planned to get out on the street at some point, I just wanted to make sure I could last a decent amount of time first so I don't end up walking after two minutes. That's why I've been putting in 20 minutes hard graft on the treadmill every day for the last 2 weeks. I don't plan on staying in the Harry Potter cupboard forever.
  21. Don't be sorry pal. I never had any expectations of running like an experienced runner. I'm pushing myself to my limit every day, pissing sweat and losing weight and after every run I feel great (after 10 minutes of grasping to life) so that's all I really care about.
  22. I think we definitely DO know! Lol. I'm now certain that somethings off, I just don't know what. I'm guessing it must be holding onto the handles at times or possibly the calibration on the treadmill is out but it seems to be moving at a reasonable rate. You're probably right about testing it outside but I'm still pretty self conscious with running in public. No one wants to see me jiggle and piss sweat.
  23. Ok, looking for a bit of advice... So I'm a big guy (18st), approaching my 40s and I've not done barely ANY exercise in probably over 10 years but in my youth was fairly active in sports. I decided to get my sh!t together and start exercising/dieting. So I got a treadmill for the cupboard under the stairs and set about it. The first couple of days I was hitting about 2.5mi in 20 minutes but have been pushing it harder every day to find my limit. The last few days I've topped out at 3mi in 20 minutes and tbh I didn't really think too much about it but today I done 3mi in 18 minutes so decided to have a wee look online to see if that was acceptable and it turns out 3mi is just shy of 5k and sub 20 minutes is a pretty good time so I'm heavily doubting if I'm doing something wrong because, as I've mentioned, I'm fat and surely that can't be right? I set the treadmill at a speed and keep it there the whole time but alternate between walking very very quickly and running, is that cheating? I also hold onto the handles intermittently, especially near the end, this must be what's making it possible? Or am I just a natural athlete in disguise? Lol.
  24. She picked a hell of a day to have a lie-in!
  25. Nope! Absolutely not. Steve Cooper can fcuking chase himself if he thinks I'm watching that bucket of sh!te!
