The Sahara Musiala!
-
The lad clearly wants to follow the footsteps of Temuri Ketsbaia, Ravanelli and Claudio Caniggia!
-
To be fair, it WOULD be a slight concern. A right footed LB with a right footed winger in front of him. Two right footed CBs to the side and being protected by two right footed Sitting midfielders. In fact. Potentially the only left footed player would be our right winger....You do have to wonder about the balance of the team there.
-
That IS essentially how Cooper likes to line up on the ball. The RB tucks in to make it a back 3 whilst the LB pushes right up to the LW position with the LWer tucking in to make a second #10. So El Khannouss might very well play instead of Mavididi, meaning when we are on the ball, it's him and Buonnanotte centrally behind the striker.
-
We are going to make them fight it out! ....Loser signs for us.
-
The very first post on this thread says Jakub Kaminski. Dixon doesn't seem to know who he's talking about so neither do we... meaning speculation about one of the guys in question seems appropriate.
-
I think this is how the world ends... It starts on this page, we break into two factions based on what Kaminski we think we are after. It spills over into the stadium, things get violent. The death toll rises. The right wing of Britain size the opportunity to riot. The left wing follow. Nigel Farage wages in... Starmer retaliates! Puttin gets involved and a newly elected Trump nukes everyone because they ran out of starbars in the Whitehouse canteen! ...just like Mystic Meg predicted.
-
I see a little silhouetto of a man, El Khannouss El Khannouss, Can you do the Fandango?!
-
Well yeah, this is the only worry. At this rate, I genuinely believe the only left footer in the team will be our right winger!
-
It's GOT to be this lad! It makes too much sense! I honestly thought we would either sign another winger or a #10, as well as needing an attacking LB. We're clearly deciding to spend most our cash on the Morocan lad at 10 so getting a LB who can play that specific role that Cooper wants but can also cover the wings is absolutely perfect. That being said, I have no idea if he's any good or not.
-
One. He'll play on one artificial pitch. Unless the draw Livi or Raith in the cup...
-
Yeah, not a whole lot to be fair. 8 at RB to and I think a bunch as WB on each side but... if Cooper is set on this LB pushes forward whilst RB tucks in nonsense... it makes sense. The only thing that wouldn't make sense with him there is that he, alongside everyone Cooper has ever known is right footed.
-
To be honest, I think it lends credibility yo the claim. It means he's heard the name Kaminski but not sure what one, if he was making it up, he would pick one
-
It also definitely says JAKUB...
-
Surely it's the one who can play LW,RW,LM,RM,LB and RB...
-
Maybe the club are worried about his physicality? A year in the SPFL getting kicked with the north sea winds tickling your bawsack will do the trick.
-
I can't say I'm 100% but I am sure he did on occasion.
-
I couldn't really care less about Faes. He's not as bad as some are making out but he's nowhere near as good as he seems to think and that confidence breeds mistakes. The bigger issue is how the squad see Cooper. Faes played LCB for Enzo without issue, the fact that he's kicking off about it with Cooper COULD be a symptom of him not demanding the same respect. ...or I'm just overthinking it.
-
So did Ryan Bertrand, shall we give him a call and see if he fancies a return?
-
Being used as a winger and being an out and out wingers are two different things. That is my point. We used Perez on the right, doesn't mean he was a winger. We should use Ayew where Perez should have played... in the Okazaki role but only when absolutely necessary.
-
I'd be willing to take a pumt on Jota if we are after a winger. He was incredible at Celtic, moved to Saudi and iys pretty much been a disaster since the minute he walked through the door. Im not sure exactly what's happened but I believe they left him unregistered weeks after joining and he's only played about 16 games since. He's desperate to leave, I think they are desperate to sell and he's still only 25.
-
I wonder if Steve Cooper knows that some CB's have a left foot.
-
Ayew BDR like i said, they can both do a job there but they are both getting on, losing pace and neither are out and out wingers. Both would work far better in central positions whilst covering the wing We need pace, especially if we are going to be pinned back and need to counter.
-
I don't understand this "collecting wingers" narrative. We have two. BDR maybe was at one point but he's not got the pace or skill to be a winger at this level anymore, backup winger, maybe but that's it. Same goes for Mcateer and like them Buonanotte is better at CAM. Ayew is another who could do a job there but the truth of it is Fatawu and Mavididi are the only two natural wingers we have. That's why I was surprised about the link with the Moroccan lad, I think we need a winger and a striker more.
