Wow. Piper has said he will not call individual players out and then names Daka and Faes. And rightly so. -

He'll blame the EFL for fvcking up our prep for this match.

I think we need to have Rudkin and Whelan carryout an end of season debrief. That'll sort us out.
-
You would have thought that last season....
-
I predicted at the start of the season we would just about scrape into the play-offs. Looks like I may have been right - but not the way I imagined.
-
My stream has froze.
-
But the agony will then be stretched out into the play-offs.

There was a time when I couldn't take my eyes off a match. With this team however, I'll go to make a cuppa and don't particularly rush, knowing full well I wont miss a thing.

Many years ago, a mate returned home to find his wife outside and refusing to go in the house. She said there was a massive spider in the living room. Sure enough it was a huge thing, about the size of his hand he said. He thought it was a prank though, a childs toy or similar so he went to grab it. As he did it moved. He nearly filled his pants. It was thought that it arrived from some tropical place in a box of fruit or something.

Coverage of the eclipse has been poor so far. Just as totallity was happening and you see the diamond ring effect, the bloody picture switched to the crowd all holding their phones to the sky. Then, as totallity was being covered elsewhere, they switched the feed back to an area where it was coming to an end. Ah well, 3rd time lucky.....

I used to enjoy watching The Repair Shop (BBC 1). Seeing the marvellous skills and techniques employed to fix items and then the delight when the owners come to collect them, is great. However, for sometime now, they seem to be spending more time chatting to the owner about the items origin and less on the repair. Also, there are increasingly tragic stories behind their history. I'm finding it depressing. The production company I'm sure, are actively looking to have items with such distressing pasts so tears can start to flow. They probably see it as a ratings winner. Perhaps I'm becoming cold/hard hearted but I find I'm tut tutting, saying here we go again and switching it off.

I was watching his performance on Unplugged recently of 'Where Did You Sleep Last Night'. Spine tingling.

I read many moons ago that Britain was the most agnostic and secular country on the planet. That may well have been the case. However, so many other cultures have now made their home here and have, inevitably, brought along their own Gods and beliefs. With this comes the physical manifestation too. Mosques, Temples and so on. What was, to a greater extent, a non religous country with Christian beliefs, is now no longer the case. How I am reading Dawkins piece is, and I see his point to put it simply and crudely; I don't believe in all this but if it has to be, then it ought to be a predominantly Christian ethos. That is our tradition.

I think that when a party wins two or more consecutive terms of office, often complacency, contempt and disregard for the electorate can creep in to the way they govern and policies they enact. Of course it is a democratic system so if a party is re elected, so be it. However, I wonder if a second term should be restricted to 4, or even 3 years? If they are elected for a 3rd consecutive term that too should be for 3 years. I feel that may focus their attention more on what is good for the country as a whole and not just implement a strategy that favours their traditional voters.

Interviewer asked if ditching 'Enzoball' made the difference today? Enzo replied, 'Oh feck off. You're sounding like our fans now'. They then cut the interview.
