  1. Hoping this plays into our hands and Norwich think we are reverting to type. We then do ping the ball forward and catch them out.
  2. Hands up all those who know how to beat Leicester City.
  3. Not all felt, 'while last year’s journey to relegation was punctuated by the media and fans alike playing down the warning signs, stating the club was ‘far too good to go down’. There was many - ok, some - who were seeing where we were heading at least 18 months earlier. To this day, I cannot comprehend how an apparent vast majority could not see the shitshow we were heading towards. And this isn't hindsight, the doomsayers posts and concerns are a matter of record on this forum.
  4. Inconsistencies with regards to having a 'pop' at religion. I'm not at all religious, in fact I feel its a pity they exist. My thoughts are immaterial however. What irratates me - and there are currently examples elsewhere on this forum - is some are fair game to be mocked/rediculed. With it being Easter, these are currently prevelant of course. They are accepted. However, other faiths seem to be ring fenced from similar humour. A post demonstrating inconsistances with Christian doctrine, stays on the boards. A previous post showing a dozen Muslim women in full burka having their photograph taken with the caption 'Smile please' gets deleted. I cannot understand this.
  5. We need to find who keeps pressing this button sooner rather than later.
  6. The thing is; he will be next season and he knows it. Rerminds me of some of our 'stars' last season.
  7. 'Fatuwa please don't give me your shirt'
  8. Been to the Maddison school of false, misguided and blind optimism
  9. Well, my prediction at the start of the season was a poor start but a good finish and we would just scrape the playoffs. I guess I got the last bit bang on - but not exactly how I thought.
  10. Might be Enzo's English letting him down. He thinks we have a substitute embargo.
  11. I dont miss the 'Kerb side autos' you would see on every other street. I dont mean someone doing the odd repair but folk like that suggested in the picture. Oil stains on the road and pavement and the immediate area smelling like the inside of a garage mechanics workshop.
  12. I'm sorry, my ptsd prevents me from reading anything posted by someone called Brendan.
  13. Captain Eric Moody He and his flight crew demònstrated outstanding airmanship when all four engines on their 747 stopped whilst at 37000 feet. He came out with the quite incredible understatement when informing the passengers of the problem. "Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem. All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them going again. I trust you are not in too much distress.’
  14. On a slightly different note re flags, you often see the Union Jack in black and White. I've even seen this on police uniforms. Why is this? I know not all flags would lend themselves to monocrome versions, though many would - Stars & Stripes for example - but quite possibly we are the only ones that do this?
  15. I say shame them. Discretely take a picture of them, print it and stick it on the notice board, if this is in the work place. In two different places I've worked, there has been bogeys smeared in the wall by the urinals. Obviously, someone pees and picks their nose at the same time and then wipes it on the wall Probably carried out by the type of person you see.
  16. That was, and continues to be, a fecking joke.
  17. Indeed. How about kicking Chelsea out of the FA cup instead and reinstating, you know who.
  18. Dead animals placed outside shop.
  19. Does the 'Boardman' still exist? That's what we called the school truancy officer. I can still picture our Boardman riding around on his Honda 50 scooter and visiting the homes of school absentees. And yes, he even had a clipboard with him. He also collard me once, walking along a street in school time. He ordered me to climb on the back of his scooter and off we went, back to class. Just spotted this on Amazon
  20. I've mentioned before on this subject, that I witnessed around 8 German lads laughing and joking around a park bench when I was over there a few years ago. I noticed that they were dropping their food wrappers, drink cans and so on on the grass. Just as I tut tutted to myself, thinking they were just like folk back home, they left the park picking up every single item they had dropped. You can guess the response I've received when challenging litter droppers on these shores.
  21. I've noticed more and more instances where folk basically fly tip next to a litter bin. I guess their reasoning is it will be collected when the bin is emptied. The dumping of houshold items just doesn't make sense, especially moreso in the city. The council have a free bulk waste collection service.
  22. Reminds you of BR in the previous couple of seasons
  23. Channel surfing I stumbled upon, Our Flag Means Death. BBC2 I've been catching up with it on iPlayer. Really enjoyable comedy which, given its premise - rich man in the 1700s becomes bored and decides he wants to become a gentleman pirate - is actually based on a true story.
