  1. My point was flippant. However, those players were outstanding for us so Chelsea taking them did affect us and helped prevent our continued upsetting of the top six.
  2. All the players in recent years, now the manager and back room staff. Perhaps even more players....... They are really making us pay for Hazard's goal.
  3. Mrs. FFF spotted a sticky spot on the kitchen floor, so retrieved a mop type thing from the cupboard. She then pressed a button on it which squirted some liquid first. 'Awww, thats good', I said. I foolishly then asked if she (we?) had just bought it. The look said it all, we've had it for years.
  4. They are at epidemic levels, so much so that when you get a genuine email, as I did recently, you can ignore/delete it. We are getting one quite a lot recently, that is definitely spam/phishing. It is supposedly from my father in law sending through some pictures that are stored online. Quite easy to spot it was false though, he died last year!
  5. I schpose you exshpect me to shign.
  6. We have a long driveway which the original owners paved with slabs many, many years ago. They did a good job too. Still level, none are cracked and looking good. However, loads of slabs mean lots of potential for weeds to grow in between. We've tried different weed killers and even bought one of those blow torch 'wands' to fry them but with poor results. I now try to remove manually but difficult to pull the roots up too. Anyone have a recommended weed killer that works? I try to be organic but will now consider full on chemical warfare on the blighters.
  7. And we seem to be a feeder club for them. Kante. Forfana. Chillwell. Drinkwater and now our manager. Perhaps the compo could also include them taking on half of our impending points deduction?
  8. Just had a delivery. Huge box with fragile marked all over it and numerous symbols showing the correct way up. Non of that mattered to the delivery chap, plonking it down in front of me on its side.
  9. No, I don't think I am deflated. I'm at an age now where I have too many other concerns that take priority . There was a time when Leicester losing would ruin, and I mean ruin, my weekend. Whereas now, I obviously wish us well, but it isnt the be all and end all anymore. I have, I'm afraid, written this coming season off in anycase, something I couldnt imagine doing even a few short years ago under any circumstances and that was before the manager moving on.
  10. You mustn't assume everyone who has voted and/or posts on these boards is a Leicester fan.
  11. Are you still sticking to that story Mr. Pleat?
  12. Agree. There was a question last night about the water authorities and the pollution of rivers, lakes and so. They discussed the massive raise in water bills that are proposed, as well as the ongoing big salaries of chief executives and so on. FB then asked for the audience views on this topic. One person she asked, started talking about Grenfell and Windrush. FB quite skilfully acknowledge their point but at the same time said, quite succinctly, that has got feck all to do with the current discussion.
  13. I was visiting an old neighbour of mine who recently went to live in an old folks home. I noticed a memory board hanging on one of the walls and in it, saw a great Christmas gift idea.
  14. I was playing tennis on Humberstone Park earlier and there was an awful sewage type pong in that corner of the park. A river runs through that park but I didn't check if the nasty whiff was coming from there.
  15. Always wondered about these sort of shows. Are they recorded weeks/months before transmission and folk are sworn to secrecy regarding eventual winners?
  16. Some folk injured, several badly and one poor chap has died. Meanwhile, poor old Andrew, “I was covered in coffee,” Andrew Davies from London tells our colleagues on 5 Live.
  17. Somebody asking you for the time. Can't remember the last occasion. Guess folk have their phones now.
  18. I do think clear daylight would be easier to determine, especially if automated. Surely with modern tech, multiple cameras could provide an eye level view (as opposed to the slightly elevated views) and technology 'removes' all but the players of interest. If day light is visible, then offside.
  19. Whatever happened to the suggestion that you were offside only if there was clear daylight between you and the last defender? Seemed a good shout to me.
  20. I fear, though I just hope it isn't the case, ourselves dropping back down and Cov one of the teams coming up. NB: That scenario will be reversed the season after that.
  21. I stand corrected. Also, I may now know why I failed my AAIB entrance exam.
  22. I believe that is used more commonly in case of pilot suicide/murder, such as the German Wings aircrash a few years ago.
  23. That's not Braunstone. This aerial pic is, however, of one of the less attractive part of the city.
  24. Remember coloured bathroom suites too? Looking back they were hideous. To my eternal shame, I remember berating my dear old dad for having a new white suite back then. He had taste, I didn't.
