Just been reading about celebs carbon footprint. She is one of the worst for clocking up air miles. That story led me onto one of the flight tracking websites. I know at any one time there are 1000s of aircraft in the air, but to see it pictorially displayed is some thing else. Below is European air space and also globally.

Leicestershire live £2:99 per month.

I can honestly say I wouldn't view Leicestershire Live if they paid me £2.99 per month. -
Those rubber strips dangling from the back of cars. Supposed to discharge static iirc.

All these folk melting over the loveliness of these feline fiends, are either oblivious or simply don't care about the maiming of other creatures, especially birds, and the 'deposits' they leave in others gardens. Horrible creatures.

Indeed. I do sometimes wonder if they've been told that the coaches want to see at least half a dozen passes around midfield before any attacking run or pass. That said, I dont have too many problems with possession based play in an attempt to draw opponents out of position, it's just that it isn't always necessary.

What on the roads has annoyed you today?

The lights outside the KP get me every bloody time. They turn red as I approach them, I stop, yet hardly ever is a car pulling out from the stadium. -

This is a good point. Apart from scoring, crowds will appreciate and get noisy over a long cross field pass, defence splitting pass that finds a forward, great save from a goalie or slick and quick series of attacking passes. Even though a series of passes in defence or midfield might draw an opponent out of position, it isn't until that has been exploited, folk will get vocal in a positive way.

As I mused in an earlier post; I do wonder if he's developing an exit strategy? That said: I think he'll see out this season. He is unproven at Premier League level, so cannot imagine him getting an offer from there and cannot see him leaving for another championship club. That leaves abroad I guess, but I believe he would like to have a convincing title winning championship on his CV first - despite what he has said in the press.

I think we - and that includes Enzo - need a sense of perspective here. You hear grumbles and groans but what percentage of fans is this? Even if it is a vocal couple of hundred around the stadium, that equtes to no more than 1%. I dont think you can include the early leavers as being dissatisfied either. There are far more of these when the game is won beyond doubt. In anycase, early leavers are occuring at more and more grounds. I do hope that Enzo is not ramping this up as a prelude to an exit strategy. This and the incoming players (lack off) situation. Most - vast majority, in fact - are very happy with how things are going.

Oh dear. I hope the 'Ever Obliging Leicester City' thread doesn't make an appearance this Saturday.

I wonder if he'll be tearing holes in the back of his socks then? Imagine buying your youngster a pair of replica socks and they go and do that, just to mirror their hero's.

I guess I knew this anyway but some (many?) folk are totally ignorant of current home and world affairs. I was chatting to two mates this evening and I just mused if we would get called-up for the Citizens Army. 'Citizens Army, whats that then?' Came the reply. I said you know, the head of the army has mentioned it. 'Why's that then, is it something to do with Ukraine?' I said that is part of it but the situation in the middle east is very worrying as well as volatile and added that it has also been suggested we are actually in a pre-war situation. I mentioned Israel, Gaza, Hamas, what is happening in the Red Sea, Iran possibly attacked an American Army base and so on, and was met with a shrug of the shoulders. 'Dunno', one said, 'Never watch the news'. Although surprised, I think, in a way, I envy their ignorance.

You're certainly right there - mine too. The pushbike dynamo that @davieG posted, reminded me of a simple circuit I put together in my early teens that enabled my lights to switch automatically to batteries whenever I stopped, thereby keeping the lamps lit.

One of my first memories is a binman walking down our path, seeing me looking out the window and giving me a smile and wink.

In local news: what has the council got against the western side of the city? They've closed the golf course and now Western Park is the only one not to have some major work carried out on its tennis courts. Story here.

What the FA Cup means to me........
Free Falling Foxes replied to sishades's topic in Leicester City Forum
Strewth! I went absolutely potty too but that guy edged my celebration. All I can add is when Chelsea 'equalised', I stormed into our kitchen cursing, stamping my feet, thumping the worktop and angrily saying, quite loudly, that we'll never win the bloody thing. During my inconsolable despair, Mrs. FFF voice somehow filtered through, 'VAR are looking at it'. We know the rest....
