  1. I'm not a gambling man but I would wager a not inconsiderate amount, that no one responsible will actually go to jail over this. They should, but won't.
  2. I attended a personal safety course with my work sometime ago and this question was raised. It was interesting to hear womens views and many said they find it worrying and intimidating if in a quiet area. It has been suggested that if you are close behind a female that you should cross the road and continue on the other side.
  3. I would happily use up a life times worth of reps for this post. I cannot over exaggerate how incredibly selfish it is and how it annoys me so much.
  4. Mouse tidy-ups mans shed.
  5. No definite solution I'm afraid but recall my dad always telling me to check around the fireplace whenever we were buying an house. I assume it is because of the lack of damp proofing/membranes and/or because of damage by heat to them over the years. We have lived in 3 houses now and each one has had damp or dampness in that area. Is there anyway to improve ventilation in that area? In our current house I put in an airbrick in the affected wall and it did the trick. This is especially important in a blocked off former fire place, even with a capped chimney. Any dampness will manifest itself at the lowest point in that case. Also, if it is on an outside wall, is it clear on both sides of any clutter?
  6. Over on the BBC Sport website, they have a 'Have Your Say' after match reports. Curiously, this option wasn't available for the Brum match today. I'm sure their supporters would certainly have lots to say.
  7. It seems most drivers are struggling with this still. Women pulled out from a cafe driveway, turned in our direction and seemed most upset we were already crossing the road.
  8. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leicestershire-67841645 Great news. Mind you, there will folk who moan about it.
  9. Be ironic if they were all collectively crushed to death by a falling yew tree.
  10. Anyone who has used one of these and got a splinter from it, will confirm they are the biggest pita. A glass fibre stuck in your finger is tiny, virtually invisible and causes max discomfort.
  11. Not a good idea if you are carrying out a bit of coitus at the time though
  12. I remember a few years ago after an heavy fall of snow, Radio Leicester were interviewing people sledging in Bradgate Park. One guy who had traveled from Syston, said he took the day off work because of the dangerous road conditions. The reporter couldn't resist asking him how he got to the park.
  13. Ahh yes, but....... ....at 85 minutes
  14. Well, there's two folk who put the TV into standby instead of switching off. I guarantee that no spook will be able to turn your TV on if it is truly off.
  15. Does it do it on all channels and/or inputs? Check all input leads, even the mains plug. Doesn't seem like possible interference from LED Christmas lights but to be sure, turn them off. Ask neighbours to switch theirs off too.
  16. Anyone have any idea how long the KP stadium tour takes? ....and no, I wouldn't leave after 80 mins.
  17. Wrong thread
  18. Me too. Mind you, not looking forward to VAR again. Virtually everytime I catch MOTD, they are discussing a VAR incident.
  19. I went see Wilko Johnson's band 10 or so years ago in Leicester. His tour had been very well attended until that night; there was only around 25 folk there. They put on a great show still.
  20. I guess the RNLI and organisations like mountain rescue, are unique in-so-far they are largly staffed by volunteers. I gave the post a thumbs up but would, equally, give all emergency services a massive thanks 24/7, 365 days/year.
  21. I understand the previous head of fan engagement was sacked for leaving early.
  22. Bin men doing the round in Braunstone, Hamelin Road area this morning. Father in Laws wheely bin not collected, apparently because it wasn't left on the pavement. We had left it about 3/4 on his garden path, 1/4 on the pavement. Did this so it got some protection from the strong wind and also made more room for folk to walk past. Bin man would have needed to do another half step to reach it.
  23. VID-20231221-WA0002.mp4
  24. That's Life.........
  25. Some posters over in the main forum, delighting in Mavididi's wind up celebration in front of the Brum fans after he scored. They can see no problem with it and cannot understand why he's been called out for it even by his own manager. Even one of his own team mates (Winks) pulled him away and gestured an apology to the Birmingham supporters. I strongly suspect that many of those same fans who delighted in his 'celebration', would have gone absolutely ape shit if an opposing player had behaved similarly to them.
