  1. I don't leave the football early but once I left the cinema early to "miss the traffic". The film was called "Titanic" if anyone has seen this film please advise me how it finished.
  2. The few hundred that left before our first goal probably had a shift to clock on at 4.00pm on a Sunday afternoon.
  3. Vuvuzelas The bell at last orders in pubs Gary Glitter
  4. You're previous sporting passion was all about going round & round & round, whereas your new one is about going up & down & up & down, it's more of a bumpy ride. Welcome to LCFC lee9.
  5. That was my first thought, South East London will be carnage
  6. This is the only data that needs analysing D-L-L-D-D-L-W-W-L-D-L-L
  7. If we are getting a new gaffer then we'll need new players, at least 5 or 6 of the above can disappear in January.
  8. Another trainspotting spin off book, featuring everyones favourite trainspotter, Begbie, "The Blade Artist" would make a brilliant film.
  9. Carlton Palmer, Andy Sinton, Earl Barrett.... how the hell did we not qualify?

  12. For years, one of the best quiz shows on the box, A Question of Sport turned into an annoying attempt at modern entertainment. The "comedy" is toe curling, the guests are largely boring thicko's & the whole programme is box ticking exercise by a once great broadcasting company. Now gone forever. bring back "Sporting Triangles"!!
  13. What with the chaos that ensues attemping to buy tickets in the modern age, think Oasis, Glastonbury (today) etc. Surely the postal booking form is the way forward. Hendrix 3rd on the bill at De Mont!!!
  14. Ahh, you really must miss Steve....
  15. If this is a piss take, fair enough. If this is a serious post then I've never read such a lot of unthought out ageist claptrap in a while.
  16. Went to Bilbao for a long weekend last week to take in the Athletic v Betis game. Flew on Vueling Airlines, £54 return which is massively cheaper than San Sebastian direct. Vueling have some iffy reviews on tripadvisor but I found them fine, flights on time. The Basque country is welcoming, clean, efficient, enchanting with possibly the best choice of Tapas in Iberia & also football mad.
  17. The below is the root of all evil, its the bloody serpents fault. God fashions Adam from dust and places him in the Garden of Eden. Adam is told that he can eat freely of all the trees in the garden, except for the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Subsequently, Eve is created from one of Adam's ribs to be his companion. They are innocent and unembarrassed about their nakedness. However, a serpent convinces Eve to eat fruit from the forbidden tree, and she gives some of the fruit to Adam. These acts not only give them additional knowledge, but also give them the ability to conjure negative and destructive concepts such as shame and evil. God later curses the serpent and the ground. God prophetically tells the woman and the man what will be the consequences of their sin of disobeying him. Then he banishes them from the Garden of Eden.
  18. Its a poor show taking the piss out of someone's gramma.
  19. This horse has bolted long ago. Most medium size villages now have in effect the co-op/nisa etc. to rely on for their groceries. The independent shopkeeper is becoming extinct in the villages.
  20. "financially unsustainable" Mrs Boots works in my local co-op, a village store by the way, & the tales I hear of blatant shoplifting, thieves not even bothered to try & hide what they're doing spring immediately to mind. They know they can get away with anything with no repercussions whatsoever. A few are genuinely needy people trying to feed their family but the majority are on the rob purely for financial gain & this is growing all the time. I believe more local businesses will go to the wall in the near future & local shops will be a thing of the past before too long.
  21. Rage Against The Machine by Rage Against The Machine
  22. The pies & pasties at Carrow Road are a cut above, presumably sourced by Delia.
  23. The only way to end the age old problem of "Old age" is for mandatory euthanasia for everyone aged 65 +. I myself will be 65 in January, does anyone want my season ticket?
  24. Thanks Cosbeh, Went onto Athletic's website last night & a batch of 40 or so tickets has suddenly appeared, all in one group. Bagged 5 of those, worries over.
  25. Wetherspoons has never looked so good.
