Looking at some of the early posts on this thread it is interesting to see the positive vibes. People were really looking forward to this World Cup. It's a shame but understandable how the majority of recent posts have been negative. This is down to 2 people, one has gone about destroying the game that I love & the other has caused havoc worldwide. Infantino & Trump.

Planning a trip to Scotland. Got the week off after the World Cup so will have a couple of days in Stranraer (jealous eh!) for their game with Edinburgh City on the Tuesday followed by Queen of the South v Aberdeen on the Wednesday. Depending on the conference league draw there's a possibility of either Hibs or Motherwell having a home tie on the Thursday.

New additions for the "all stars" include Norman Stanley Fletcher, Lenny Godpur, an Anglia TV weatherman & possibly one of The Goodies.

If the comedians, who have to shell out in advance for hotels, travel & expenses etc.haven't been paid, what hope is there for the future of this popular & once very well run festival? Can't see too many comics wanting to appear in next year's festival if they're going to lose out financially. Has it got too big? Are the team running it similar to the administration at LeicesterCity? Or is it that there is so much red tape in the modern way of organisation that no one has a clue?

Then fly out to Italy on Thursday to take in Torino v Sassuolo on Friday night then a double header on Sunday, Cremonese v Pisa (please be fit Jamie!) and AC Milan v Atalanta in the evening.

On the train on the way back from Matlock Town v Consett 3-0 home win. Great day out, few beers & fish n chips at Matlock Bath followed by an entertaining albeit one sided game at the most picturesque of all non league grounds. I'm beginning to love Saturdays when City haven't a game.

You could argue that award goes to Forest Green.

Glentorans ground is like a time warp & dilapidated & I mean that in a positive way. Take yourself back to the 1970s & enjoy. Linfield is a half decent small national stadium that has to be ticked. Not been to Glenavon yet, one day hopefully.

Been to 3 World Cups. My first World Cup game was England v Spain at the Bernabeu in 1982. The one when we had to beat Spain by 2 clear goals to progress. We drew 0-0 Turned up at the stadium an hour before K.O.& bought 4 tickets for 600 pesetas each. A different world. 600 pesetas being about £3. Didn't make it to another World Cup until France 1998 & tickets from French touts could be bought for around £50-£100 Germany 2006 was the beginning of the end price wise when a ticket for an England group game we're going fo up to £500 from the touts. A couple of years ago I was planning a trip over to the USA but due to the obscene profiteering & the current climate I'll be tuned into BBC/ITV.
