Don't think this lack of activity is down to Rudkins incompetence this time. He is following instructions. Couple of crappy loans at best, although Marti did say he'd look to the existing squad first then the academy before looking to bring anyone in, which is exactly what we seem to be doing. Optimistic view is it could be a 3 year plan to clear out the dead-wood, bring on the youngsters, clear the PSR stranglehold once and for all and only then try for PL. Pessimistic view is we are being asset stripped prior to sale, all to save Tops personal fortune, while KP goes tits up.

Agreed. Your theory is good but depends how deluded/out of touch the people advising Top are, and how desperate KP are for cash. Do they think we are an attractive proposition / brand and we can stay up with the current team after sales? If we don't buy, but get in a few loans, then maybe we would be reasonably attractive to a non-uk buyer, if we try and get a few points on the board. No certain how much due diligence buyers do these days, on the real rather than perceived value of a club. Fans I think see the real value, rather than what the accounts show. If Top tries to sell in the few months if we are mid table, whilst appealing any points deductions, and blaming the fans of course, we both could be right!

This is exactly what I would be advising the Owner, who is trying to save his parent company, to do. Recoup as much as you can and then divest yourself of loss making non-core businesses. Implement a 'news black out' on communications. Rudkin and CEO are just following the owners instructions, so although Rudkin is out of his depth, he is the wrong target imo. So no inside sources, nor would I expect any leaks. I expect Cooper and RVN have signed a Non disclosure agreement as part of their pay off, which again is normal.
