I don't recall anyone saying don't sign Coady, Vesty will be virtually ever present this season.

To say we had Nelson, Vesty and Souttar at the time he signed over looks the fact that Nelson wasn't ready (and still isn't), Souttar wasn't that convincing and, at that time, Vesty was the holder of worst signing ever title.

Bloody hell, it was one mistimed tackle and he's this week's "worst signing ever". It's become a real whingers paradise in here.

They have short memories (as do many of us), they forget he took them from bottom to promotion and laid the foundations for successive survivals with ownership that makes ours look shrewd.

I plucked the 50k out of the air a bit but I'm pretty sure the KP was designed so 3 of the stands could be expanded giving a capacity of about 46k.

I still think it's a shame the ground share with Tigers never happened, we could have had a 50K stadium between us.

Probably and I didn't know that stat, but we're in the Prem now, he's 2 years older than last time and only managed 3 goals that season.

In all honesty he's 2 years past his sell by date and should never have been given a new contract that would seem to have been a sentimental decision.

There is a certain sense in it (clearly it's almost entirely about milking the event) if tickets are priced at the maximum level people are prepared to pay, touts are less likely to get involved.

I'd have thought it was a reasonable comparison to make. The problem for clubs is the emotional investment of supporters, we don't complain about the price of jeans in John Lewis but every decision a football club makes is under scrutiny from supporters.
