At a cup match away at Forest Weale hit a shot in the warm up which hit me square in the chest and I'd say we didn't play him in his best position.
-
We'd have survived in 2008 under 2 points for a win.

It's the sheep who laugh at it every single time that gets me.

He punched but he generally missed.

Will FFP decision affect our performances ?

They have short memories (as do many of us), they forget he took them from bottom to promotion and laid the foundations for successive survivals with ownership that makes ours look shrewd. -
Donated, good luck pal.

Probably and I didn't know that stat, but we're in the Prem now, he's 2 years older than last time and only managed 3 goals that season. -

In all honesty he's 2 years past his sell by date and should never have been given a new contract that would seem to have been a sentimental decision. -
There is a certain sense in it (clearly it's almost entirely about milking the event) if tickets are priced at the maximum level people are prepared to pay, touts are less likely to get involved.
-
I'd have thought it was a reasonable comparison to make. The problem for clubs is the emotional investment of supporters, we don't complain about the price of jeans in John Lewis but every decision a football club makes is under scrutiny from supporters.
-
Why do people get so vexed when this hasn't even been suggested by the club and the fact about 78% of tickets are STHs and away fans means there'd only be a marginal gain for them.
-
Brilliant as always 👍 Own up if you laughed at Tom Tosser Smith.

He's not said Ayew will be up for it but you can't condemn a bloke on the basis of your own assumption.
-
Then you would have to do the draw in 3 stages to keep the UCL and UEL sides apart, all to appease people who just love to feel like victims and will just find another thing to focus their cynicism. The general loathing of the big 6 is really tiresome given the fact that those clubs can't vote anything in or out without other clubs support.

Because this year the 3rd round is being played over 2 midweeks, as are European fixtures. If 2 teams in Europe were playing in different weeks, there'd be no opportunity to play the League Cup match.
-
It's no conspiracy, the teams in Europe couldn't be drawn against each other in case they were playing in different weeks in the UEFA competitions.

If we get Ward out on a free it's excellent business. No club is paying £5m and matching his wages.
-
I think they need to do both, we can't not recognise him at a home game the day after but I agree, we need to do something in front of a full house.

The success of a football club is almost entirely about identifying quality players and appointing a good manager. We've predominantly signed shockers over the last 8 years and, with hindsight, the fees and wages look awful. Nobody complains or gives credit for Mads, Fofana, Maddison, Maguire etc. Once the players are identified Rudkin and Whelan are tasked with getting the deal done and end up carrying the can for poor scouting. The saddest part for me is the division this has caused among supporters, I know the personal insults of those that dissent are a sign of the times but surely there's a more respectful debate to be had.

Just so sad even though we knew the news was imminent. 😪

Football has been littered with returning heroes as managers that have proved to be disastrous.
