Can't be many clubs of our stature where the owner is also the CEO and the chairman. Chansiri is the other I can think of who's in control of absolutely everything and that's going well for them 😳

Trying to fit an episode in. Jake's on holiday for 2 weeks and me and Jord are the pits at hosting. -

No, can't be arsed 😂 -
Top will be the replacement. He's been moved aside from King Power by the sounds of it and will be deluded in to thinking he can do this. Scary prospect of just him and Rudkin.

Like Preston, had a good record against these over the years that will come to an abrupt end this season. 2-1 loss

We remind me of Glenn Hoddle's Wolves at this level many years ago. Beyond dull.

I reckon he's starting tonight.

Whilst they are the absolute pits this season, Sheffield Utd were close to going up last season having done what we were hoping would happen to us (having first used some of them when it became clear relegation from the Prem was inevitable). Bring through several academy players and put faith in them. -

Tom Watson was sold to Brighton last January and loaned back to them and scored the winner in the play off final. He came through Sunderland academy. -

Chris Rigg Tom Watson Dennis Curkin -
Would not be surprised if Monga has been repeatedly told to try and preempt any collisions with opposition players as they look to make their mark on him in the hope he will be intimidated. He's strong is Monga and doesn't seem that bothered when he is clattered, made an absolute mockery out of Gooch at Huddersfield who was very aggressive with him. I've no major issue with his diving as I think he's been harshly dealt with so far.

Yeah was reported as him having a more serious knee injury than Fatawu. Then Abdul was ruled out for 9 months with an ACL and Jordan shook off an amputated leg.
-
Blokes beyond reliable at never being injured, shame it's not as reliable at actually contributing to what an attacker should do on the pitch.

Put it this way, if academy players were in and we'd gone from winning to not winning, that would have been used as a reason.
-
Not won a game since he was dropped mind you. Whilst I agree he was very raw, we were winning the ball much higher up the pitch when he played. Not seen enough of that yet from anyone else. Hopefully James slots in next to Winks and we get the 3 behind the striker correct to be more of a goalscoring threat.

People must be bored to tears of me constantly repeating myself, well tough I have to deal with myself every day. We've been ran beyond hideously for several years and tried to right the wrongs quickly two years ago. It felt we may well have gotten away with it but with Enzo going and another horrifying transfer window we were embarrassed last season. The simple fact is the majority of these experienced players are not good enough for the Premier League and a large chunk of our normal fanbase have had enough of them. If for some reason we do scrape up again, then what? Same DoF, same Head of Recruitment and likely same outcome. There's currently very little squad value, a large number of players who'll likely leave on a free in the summer and if the academy players who we were led to believe would be part of the first team this season are then brought through then it would still leave me questioning why we wasted a year in doing so. This is the perfect year to do build our team around Nelson, Aluko, Page and Monga. Not always starting games but should be in the matchday squads. Jake Evans should be in amongst it too. Look at Sunderland, they had 3-4 academy players, as did Sheffield Utd and one went up at the expense of the other. This league is also wide open this season, it's not a gargantuan task even with taking the long term approach over short term success. The points deduction is another reason we should be adjusting our mindset, it should be a siege mentality from top to bottom that would land better with the fans with a message from the off that this is a new era, with utmost faith in these academy players who haven't let us down and to get behind them. But instead there'll be silence, there's a manager who previously has brought through academy players but despite being faced with better academy players he is under pressure with a massive squad of failed players on huge money that his DoF failed to get rid of enough of them despite Marti clearly stating he prefers to work with a much smaller squad. Whilst i'm frustrated with him for being a little weak on this, i do get it. I just hope he is quick to drop underperforming players and explaining it to his superiors and then giving these academy players a chance like he's alluded to. Otherwise he's just the same as the rest of them and that'll be that with me. Back to the academy itself. Some concerning signs of stalling and stagnation amongst the groups again. That U21 squad contains too many 20-22 year olds that are blocking the likes of Hutchinson, Motsi (possibly a year too early but Monga was in at his age) Riley Carr, Hugo De Lisle etc. Hopefully this will be rectified as the season goes on but not promoting Hutchinson yet is beyond bizarre. I'd be fascinated to understand why, he's evidently far too good for U18 now and needs that recognition to progress. He's fast and strong, it's not as if he's not robust enough for the step up yet. He's also committed to a pro deal so that threat of not doing so is no longer on the table. Weird. -

Dont these hammer us every season? Bizarre -
Sorry, I couldn't help it with the way you'd worded that 😂😂😂

This might be the most astonishing explanation not to bring through academy players I have ever read. Superb work pal.

Been torturous at times today but thats what this event can be like. Hard to describe. It's also one of precious few team sport events that you genuinely see what it means to them. Golf's my favourite sport anyway bar football but the Ryder Cup is unrivalled.

What a surprise, Hutchinson scores again for the U18s. How on earth is he still being kept back at that level. This club, man. -
I rest my case. Despicable
