  1. 'Top 10 Tommy' in contention at Harbour Town. But knowing Fleetwood, he'll plod along the back 9 and finish in the top 10. Again.
  2. Always enjoy watching VVD play if I’m honest. Absolute Rolls Royce of a footballer.
  3. shoulda scored
  4. Best pitch in the championship
  5. In terms of sporting drama, that's right up there. 18 million people staying up to watch that past midnight was insane.
  6. Yeah you're right on the Miracle at Medinah being a European rather than British achievement, so I guess that shouldn't really be in the list. Rory is an interesting one. He always considers himself Northern Irish and is both a citizen of the UK and Ireland, I think. I understand why he represents Ireland at the Olympics though and I suppose you could say the same about Ulster rugby players playing for Ireland. I'm certainly no expert on this though and would definitely not want to open that particular can of worms
  7. That's almost impossible to choose for me - all great shouts tbh. But as a golf sicko, I'd have to go for Medina RC as the team moment and Rory on Sunday as individual.

    Houses

The new gaff has got a double garage with space above so would be ideal for a simulator and trackman. Sadly though, my daughter will soon be learning to drive so her car will be parked there

After nearly three months of stress, I think we're close to exchanging contracts on our next place. What a palaver. Doing a level 3 survey on it threw up a number of queries and since then we've had a structural engineer out, a CCTV drain survey done, and also an electrical inspection. We've also been around with a builder and plumbing/hearting engineer to measure up for various repairs/renovations that will need doing. Probably gone a bit OTT with our 'due diligence' to the point of pissing off our seller (son and daughter of an old woman in a care home) so I dropped off a couple of bottles of wine to the son (who now lives next door) as an apology for being a pain in the arse. Got a jobs list as long as our arm on what needs doing so can only see it getting more stressful. Can see why we've stayed put for the last 23 years. The whole process is just painful.
  10. Best of luck mate. Get your sleep in now if you can
  11. Without getting too political and derailing the thread... We spent 4 days in the US either side of the practice day last Monday in the Carolinas and Georgia (I'm assuming Republican?) What always amazes me is the sheer size and scale of the US - it's really 50 different countries within one. During our brief stay we had a few chats with locals, people in bars, and with the drivers of our shuttles. We asked about the whole Trump tariff thing and the common response we got was on the lines of "Lets see what happens. Hopefully it'll be good for American jobs in the long term" No one commented about the wider implication on the world economy, the markets, or our pensions. Just an insular view on what it all means to the US. I know the % of Americans with a passport has risen from about 3% in 1990 to about 45% now, but I think people generalize about Americans because it's all about them. P.S. I know you're a decent bloke and a man of the world so present company absolutely excluded
  12. He's such a twat
  13. Did you see the crowd on 18 when Bryson holed that birdie on Saturday? They went absolutely nuts for him. He would definitely have still been a hugely popular winner with the patrons. Anyway, who cares. Rory won, Bryson lost, and that's all that matters.
  14. @Deeg67 lets see how much the American's love Rory at Bethpage in September
  15. Yes, they wanted to see history and Rory is hugely popular over there. But I still maintain they'd have been equally (if not more) pumped for Bryson if he'd have played half decent and whipped them up into a frenzy. They majority of the Patrons are American after all and it makes sense they'd want 'one of their own' to win.
  16. He spoke so well (and he’ll get some backlash for saying the Masters is better than the Open!)
  17. I can't go bed yet. I'm wired.
  18. Can always say "I was there" the year Rory won the grand slam (even though it was only the practice day )
  19. Ah man this is incredible. What a game golf is.
  20. I'm not crying. You're crying
  21. Please Rory. Please. For me.
