  1. Just tried a few of these valuation sites to compare what mines worth for a laugh. Here's what I got back: Arnold Clark £6700 WBAC £7920 Motorway £8960 Autotrader £9650 Prices all over the gaff

  4. Yet we all love Danny Simpson. Did OGS actually commit a crime?
  5. I’m out of touch with the current crop of politicians but do enjoy listening to Alastair Campbell and Rory Stewart on ‘The rest is politics’ podcast. Two people with different opinions and beliefs yet they debate like adults and clearly still have something to offer. Sometimes I wish we didn’t have political parties at all and instead just had the best and most qualified people in parliament regardless of political persuasion. You’d like to think this country had enough talent from across the whole political spectrum to come together and all work for the greater good. Imagine the very best politicians from all parties collaborating and doing great shit together. I’m talking nonsense I know.
  6. Absolutely. In the last few weeks I've played golf with Oxford, Millwall, Liverpool and WHam fans who all perk up and get chatty when I say I'm a Leicester fan. They all rave about our PL win and are genuinely happy for us. I think most football fans in general enjoyed the ride with us and they know it'll never happen again.

Really? Not down here in Bucks it isn't. Properties being heavily discounted and still not selling. The only stuff shifting is at the cheaper end. Not sure interest rates are coming down anytime soon either.
  13. "The itinerary for these events was set weeks ago" "The itinerary for these events was set weeks ago" "The itinerary for these events was set weeks ago" You're the Prime Minister FFS. Change the itinerary

Of course the agent was grumpy, and proves why you were right to bin them off. I've known lots of people who've offered low but explicitly made it a final offer with a two or three week deadline for the seller to decide. Amazing how many times the offer get's instantly knocked back but then a day or two before the deadline they come crawling back saying "Actually, on reflection....."
  15. Would be great for the competition if the US win this
  16. "Through the good times and the bad, we'll always back the lads" (and whoever the new manager is, even if it's Cooper)
  17. Our bastard teacher was Mr Greatorex for metalwork. If you messed around he'd sneak up behind you and smash his metal ruler over the back of your hands on the desk. Happy memories
  18. That kid up the rope on the right was me aged about six. I got to the top, my hands slipped and I fell. Split my head open, blood everywhere, and I can remember Peter Kempton looking over me and shouting "YOU CAN SEE HIS BRAIN!!" I bet H&S wouldn't allow it these days.
  19. Remember how shocked everyone was when Ranieri (and to a degree also Maresca) were appointed? No one saw those coming so what makes people so sure it’ll be Cooper/Corberan/Moyes etc. this time? Why not another left field appointment? Personally I’m quite happy for us to take our time with this while everyone is on holiday. Wouldn't be surprised if we end up with someone who’s not even on the bookies list atm.

You can always put in a 'final offer' bid with a deadline by e-mail. It's a risky move but if you're confident they won't get any other offers, you could give them say two weeks to decide. Tell them that's your final offer and if they don't accept in your timeframe then you'll just walk away and look elsewhere. Takes the hassle out of negotiating and if they're keen to sell they might just accept it.

I wouldn’t give a fvck if they’re cheesed off, it’s not your problem. The question to ask is if you had to sell this new house the day after you moved in (for some unforeseen circumstances), how much would you get for it? If you think you could definitely get £580k back, then offer that. If your instinct says you'd get less than that, then that's what you should offer.
