Have to say Morgan had a good game today. He was our best defender. For all the people wanting Dragovic playing, there is not much difference in ability between Morgan and Dragovic. Obviously Dragovic is younger and we should be looking to the future, but if he’s not a better defender than our captain you can understand why he isn’t the preferred choice. I think it’s true we’ve missed Morgan’s leadership and presence on the pitch. The CB who eventually replaces Morgan also needs to be a leader and an influence on/off the pitch, not just a guy that can play out from the back.

We should loan Chilwell/Amartey out for a year so they can play week in, week out, to improve their game and learn from their mistakes. (Mostly aimed at Chilwell tbh, Amartey has been solid when he’s played). Sign a quality RB and LB, Simpson & Fuchs as back up is ok for another year. Then next summer Chilwell/Amartey will hopefully be ready to replace Simpson/Fuchs.

Whatever happens, proud of the lads tonight. They’ve put a proper shift in and shown some spirit to get back in the game

Gabbiadini? Not starting for Southampton for some reason, but Puel got the best out of him. Really slow, but pretty good on the ball for a big man and could help us break teams down.

If we sign another CM it needs to be someone with similar attributes to NDidi imo, especially if we get into Europe. We won’t be able to rely on Ndidi being our only destroyer/ball winner due to the amount of games we’ll have. Infact signing some competition for Ndidi’s position should be a priority, or we could promote Hamza from the youth if he’s good enough. Iborra/Silva/James are good options for the other position.

Gray can torment defences on his day too, but like Zaha they’re both very inconsistent. Zaha has 4 goals and 3 assists this season which is pretty average.

Completely forgot Kasper saved two penalties against them. What a hero

I wonder if we’ll promote some u23s to the first team squad, instead of signing 6-8 players.

Riyad Mahrez we want you to stay

Albrighton has looked good since he came on. Lots of good passes into space. His passing range makes him very dangerous when we’re leading and teams have to attack us .

Iheanacho has been so good since he’s come on. His link up play has been impressive and it isn’t the first game he’s looked good behind Vardy either.

Puel was always just a stop gap until Big Nige finished his trial in Belgium. Pearson, Shakey and Walsh are coming home boys

They’re playing like how we played in 15/16. The intensity and desire is incredible. Get some of these lads in the first team squad !

Just a thought, if we finish 7th we’ll have Europa qualifiers in the summer won’t we? Would be tempted to keep him until we’ve secured qualification. Europa qualifiers are always a potential banana skin and we might need some Mahrez magic.

We should be challenging Arsenal for 6th . Frustrating we’ve dropped so many points against Stoke, Swansea & Bournemouth. On the plus side, Arsenal Fan Tv should be fun tonight
