Is this just a speculative question or are you aware that such news is to break?
-
Just a wild stab in the dark, imagine if I had been correct I would have become an ITK waiting to be shot down from a great height 😂😂
-
Reckon the announcement will be at 3pm and then hopefully start to see the club start making a few further announcements regards Golding, Fatawu and backroom appointments to follow

I don’t buy into all this I don’t want to leave, this is my club etc, I have no doubt he has a strong affinity for the place however I always felt if a top 6 club came in he would be gone in a flash, I think it was good PR for the fans to hear and also an easy line to trot out when it’s the likes of Brighton and Brentford interested. Really hope this deal resolves our PSR issues for 23-24 and we can now push on and bring in some quality additions that give us a fighting chance of survival.
-
I really don’t get the, we would be better keeping him and taking a bigger points deduction, yes he is good, but he has limitations and who’s to say with Maresca gone and Cooper in, if he will be anywhere near as effective. For me we have to take the money, be compliant and avoid another breach and potential points deduction and then look to bring in some good quality additions, with clever recruitment and look to push on again.

Ar53holes like this are ruining the game and killing. my love of football, it’s becoming a closed shop and the perceived big 6 are desperate to protect their position as more and more of the less fashionable clubs become more and more innovative and find ways to be competitive. I tell you what Jim, if you want to stay as a top 6 club, stop being lazy trying to influence the decision making that cuts the smaller competition off at their knees and concentrate on making your club the best on class on merit. Really hope the fact that 3 will have moved on, plus the resurgence of Vesty and the signing of Mads will give him a few more friendly faces and make his desire to return and reintegration back into the club a very easy and straight forward process.

I honestly think we need to change our strategy and get our very best prospects out in loan to decent league 1 & 2 teams by the time they are 18/19 and then the following season a championship loan by the time they are 19/20 they will hopefully have 40-50 games under their belt and be first team ready for us, by progressing our own we will make a killing of the PSR rules -
I actually think KDH will do well at Chelsea, the 12 months under Enzo means he has a head start over others, he isn’t world class by any stretch and has limitations however he will be a better fit than Gallagher and therefore will improve the team dynamic whilst not necessarily being an elite level player. I think he will be effective for them.
-
I think he will be like a new signing, he has bags of potential and in a different environment which it definitely will be if KDH does leave then I think he will thrive
-
If we move to a double pivot and need a number 10 then Sammie Smozdics would be a great addition to play that role and bring goals and assists
-
KDH will always have a place in every LCFC fans heart and memory but let’s be honest if we can get £30-40m and it sorts our PSR issues then so be it, yes he is a loss but we have lost players of the ilk of Lineker,, Smith, McAllister, Mahrez,, Kante, Lennon, Izzett, Madders, Barnes et al and we survived and moved on, same with this, yes it’s a blow but let’s hope we reinvest wisely and kick on again
-
Not a chance Barnes leaves on loan and I reckon his book value will be circa £28m -£30m so if we did buy him back it would have to be for a similar fee as to what we sold him, therefore looking at £7m per year book value if we have him a 5 year deal, not inconceivable to make it happen but wages might be a stumbling block, would depend on how much he wants to come back home
-
I think we are leaking to the media we are holding out for £40m but will end up meeting Chelsea half way and it being £35m with some add ons that potentially take it to £40m.
-
There is nothing to say that Moder is a directly replacement for KDH, it could be we sign another midfielder to come in as starter and Moder is more of a rotation option and one to come off the the bench. In regards the fee it’s highly likely that it won’t be £10m up front, more likely to be £6-7.5m and the rest in add ons.

Same agency as Cooper, makes you wonder if we make a pact that we only deal with the agency who represent our manager at the time

I think we are in the southern section this year so if we do there is definitely something fishy going on -
I have had personal experience of the good side of the ownership of the club and how they will go above and beyond, which suggests that Top is very similar to Vichai, in regards to personal interaction with fans, however the general treatment of fans as now just customers of the club does grate massively with me and I feel the club as an organisation has become so disconnected in its decision making and strategy. I think Top either needs to try and devote more time to the club or needs to be ruthless and have a complete overhaul of the executive team that make both the day to day football and commercial/operations side as it is becoming more and more removed from a football club and more a retail/commercial entity.

A question for @st albans fox if Top was to generate additional shares to raise investment could this help us navigate PSR breach if transactioned before end of June? I remember the owner of Southampton doing something similar IIRC -
It was merely a question given we now have a new manager that may well have changed the landscape, so it does make sense to ask. We may not have offered a new contract at the time because Enzo didn’t want him
-
I know it’s been officially announced he has been released but that was obviously prior to the appointment of Cooper, I wouldn’t be overly shocked or surprised to see him given a years contract, provides good cover and consummate professional who I can imagine would be appreciated by a manager like Cooper.
-
Is this nailed on or just a guess based on his previous coaching teams? I find it strange that Tate hasnt been formally announced as he is unemployed so you would expect him to be appointed pretty much the same day, so could it be that the make up of his backroom team is going to be different to previous. Hopefully we will start to see his team take shape and a few announcements made over the coming 72 hours.
