  1. If we get relegated and it’s a pretty poor showing I guarantee Cooper will not be around next season, this is not an appointment made with one eye on next season. It was a cheap option and one that wouldn’t rock the boat or challenge the chief decision makers. They can merrily carry on regardless, it is sickening that the club don’t want Managers that will push for the highest standards across all football operations. we had it with Enzo and as soon as we needed to appoint his successor instead of going for a manager of similar ilk and standards such as Potrer or Corberan the club shit it’s knickers and went for a yes man.
  2. Lowe stepped down, basically explained he loved Monday to Friday but had grown to dread match days. Timing is a strange one, you would kind of hope to have this conversation at the end of last season. The
  3. This transfer window is fecking mental, we now have Forest’s old manager and it would appear we have now copied their recruitment plan to be linked to 1,145 players during the transfer window
  4. I was very disappointed when we appointed him but then kind of got my head around it and wanted to support him and see us succeed, however the last 3 performances and results have reaffirmed my concerns that he is massively out of his depth and this is an appointment that is seemingly already sucking the energy, confidence and momentum built up from last season.
  5. Financially it isn’t the horrific deal some are making it out to be. The reason we are paying such a high fee is because Gala are covering his wages due to tax implications and so if he were on £100k and we paying his wages that would be £5.2m of the outlay. It is actually quite a sensible deal in the sense of how it has been structured. If the club can pull it off it would be a statement signing.
  6. Percy is being fed stuff by the club to show we are trying to be ambitious and sign decent quality, what I also notice is in the articles Percy is very much down playing the report and stating we have bid, as with Soule he was very careful in his choice of words
  7. I am telling you we will not sign this guy and not sure we had any intention, we are getting ourselves linked and having interest and bids leaked to make it look like we are being ambitious, when in truth I don’t think we are remotely interested in investing in players of this ilk and cost.
  8. Another day and another link to a player, would be great to get one or two over the line, my fear is we keep getting linked to these names but when push comes to shove we don’t get the deals done and it’s just postering by the club to look ambitious to then end up with last minute squad filling dross as panic buys and cheap options, a bit like our managerial appointment. Loads of names linked then went for cheap, cheerful and rank average.
  9. The club took the cheap and cheerful option in replacing Maresca. We had banked £10m quid that we hadn’t factored into our budget as we weren’t expecting him to leave. So we should have used a proportion of that to secure the best manager we could attract, instead we plumped for an out of work Manager who was the only one prepared to join and not challenge for change or wanting more control, we basically took a punt on someone the club thought would be a yes man and accept the current status quo. What an absolutely appalling way to conduct business, we should be scouting managers and coaches now for future appointments so when a change is required we move fast and decisively, I don’t think we have a any kind of succession plan or list of target managers that we monitor, I think we lose or change a manager and then wait for someone to approach us or apply and take it from there.
  10. KP have given us the greatest moments us Leicester fans could have ever wished and dreamed for, however that doesn’t give them a free pass or exemption from challenge or criticism, of course clubs have to progress and move with the times, but the club has moved in a direction that has largely disconnected itself from the fanbase and lost what was a very special bond between club and supporters. In addition to this the club has taken strategic decisions in relation to the football side that led to a catastrophic relegation and significant breaches of FFP & PSR which will highly likely lead to another relegation and yet despite these failings there has been zero changes to the people who are the key decision makers. Following our relegation tough decisions needed to be made and a top to bottom review and challenge as to the strategic direction of the club. There had to be a reset, it seemed in Enzo we had someone who would challenge the club and he had a plan and strategy and we looked to be heading in some sort of positive direction, Enzo has now gone and let’s be honest we look like a an absolute clown show. Which shows there is next to no long term strategic planning within the current administration. They are no longer fit for purpose. Either Top has to make some very ruthless decisions and bring in experienced football leaders or it’s time to sell up, because if we continue with this current regime, our next relegation will see us out of the top flight for many a year to come.
  11. And here we go, no further movement then what an absolute shambles.
  12. I can see Stevie G being our next manager if / when Cooper leaves which I predict will be before the end of the January transfer window, perfect route back from Saudi football to the English game
  13. That is pretty damning, I can see a Vardy led player power meeting with Top to remove Cooper in pretty quick time, the results and performances have progressively worsened the longer he has worked with the players. I wouldn’t be shocked to see us 3-0 by half time next Monday night and all the hope and positivity from last season completely sapped away.
  14. Would be amazing to land this player but given recent evidence of how these kind of things turn out wouldn’t be shocked if it’s another load of piss and hot air and we end up signing Weghorst on loan on Friday just in time to play against Spurs. My scepticism as to how the club have been operating and being linked to players, makes me feel like we are happy to be linked to some of these players, to then miss out but it looks like we are being ambitious and having a go when in truth I am not sure we anything more than a stalking horse enjoying the links to deflect from a fairly deflating summer to date.
  15. Also want is concerning is Cooper doesn’t seem to be making many positive in game changes, which was levelled at Enzo, from what we have witnessed to date, Cooper is a massive downgrade on Enzo, and whilst we have a KDH shaped hole in our side that doesn’t excuse what has been a very poor pre season in terms of results and performances. Cooper is struggling and I think his comments regarding recruitment and the need for bodies, whilst we would welcome some reinforcements, it is also being used to deflect from a man who already looks devoid of enthusiasm, energy and ideas.
  16. I am sorry but whilst I completely recognise we need further squad reinforcements, there is still significant quality and options in this squad, we shouldn’t be going 3 games without scoring and barely creating any chances when you take into account the opposition. Cooper has picked the team, he chose to go with the most uncreative midfield 3 yesterday, leave out Ricardo, Vestergaard and Mavididi, decide not to give Alves any minutes, left another young attacking midfield prospect in Golding at home and continually chooses not to give Cannon any significant game time. So whilst he has not yet been given the signings he expected he is guilty of leaving a number of our more creative outlets and attacking options on the bench or not involved. He is either setting us up to play god awful anti football or it was one hell of a dirty protest to Rudkin and Top, but either way only a handful of weeks into your new job, neither are a good look. Rudkin and Top are overseeing a train wreck but the train driver seems to be quite happy to drive the train straight into the nearest bridge. For a new manager to already be where Brendan was in the summer we got relegated is of massive concern. His comments in the athletic article where it was stated he wouldn’t go public about needing players so it didn’t damage morale, well how the hell as it been leaked in that way? Also his post match comments effectively put his frustrations at the door of tie players and that they need to see incomings, whilst distancing himself from the loan signing of the young lad from Brighton. This is shaping up to be an absolute shit show of epic proportions. I wouldn’t be shocked to see Dean Smith or someone of his ilk back in the dugout by Christmas time.
  17. Got a horrible nagging feeling that Chelsea are going to come in with a bid for Riccy, Reece James Is injured again and given Enzo’s system & structure is so reliant on the inverted full back it would make sense to bring in someone who could bit the ground running.
  18. It isn’t being too reactionary to question team selections, substitutions, tactics etc, yes of course Cooper should be given reasonable time however, the results, performances and patterns of play are poor we look toothless in attack and devoid of ideas, this is after 5 weeks of coaching and working with the players. Whilst we are light squad wise in terms of quality additions the level of opponents that have beaten us the last 3 games to Nil are hardly world beaters therefore there is every reason to be concerned and to question if Cooper is the right appointment. He is already making team selections to prove a point, why not give Alves or Golding an opportunity as an attacking midfielder rather than picking the midfield 3 he did, also refusing to give Cannon any meaningful minutes and opportunities is also frustrating. It’s not started well and for an appointment that divides opinion he can ill afford to get off to a poor start as I am not sure he will be afforded the patience of the fanbase.
  19. This summer is going to be a massive missed opportunity, to use our promotion to build foundations to push on again, even if we get relegated. Investing in young attainable talent that enables us to build a new team that can grow and develop over the next 4/5 seasons into a side capable of challenging top half of premier league whilst also being able to develop saleable assets each summer to reinvest. The club enabled Rodgers to break our model, under Enzo we looked to be getting some identity and strategy again, however that seems to have disappeared and we find ourselves all over the place. It would appear there are cracks forming between the new manager and the club’s hierarchy, those comments about needing reinforcements seemed almost a plea of desperation and it would appear Cooper has not been massively involved in the signing of Buonotte so you have to question how much he will be involved. Cooper already looks forlorn and has lost a lot of his spark and energy, for a new manager to appear so frustration this early on in his tenure suggests all is far from well and I would not be surprised to see a partlng of the ways pretty early on.
  20. What frustrates me is clearly we are hamstrung financially so why are we not using our promotion and PL status to attract the best of the young EFL talent available at sensible prices. If we can’t compete for mid range players then be innovative and inventive sign 5 or 6 top end EFL young talents and create a young fresh vibrant side that the fans can get behind. Players like Harrison Burrows, Ronnie Edwards, Jordan James, Morgan Whittaker, Jonathan Rowe would have probably cost no more than £30m and have limited risk from a PSR perspective or wages and all have a high ceiling for future sales. These kind of signings supplemented by creating a pathway for academy talents such as Braybrooke, Nelson and Alves whilst we may get relegated would set the club up for future sustainable long term success. We seem to have no plan whatsoever it just seems chaotic and scattergun. I genuinely feel Rudkin is out of his depth and doesn’t have a long term plan, it now seems to be about short term self preservation, rather than the good of the club, whilst Top will not make the tough decisions required, so the club will now drift into mediocrity, once we lose Vardy and the remaining quality we have we will end up back in the championship but mid table. I honestly believe without significant change at be top of the club our next relegation will lead to a decade of decline.
  21. Just watch that as part of the sale conditions Rudkin gets to keep his job for a further ten years.
  22. It was July, a month later and I am thinking what the frig has the club been actually doing. We are a shambles.
  23. I have never felt so negative going into a new season, absolutely dreading it, we are a shambles. I am becoming so disengaged with the club and how it is being run.
  24. Maybe the Enzo haters will realise that he whilst far from perfect he was a decent coach who had a plan and a structure, he also challenged the hierarchy and expected high standards rather than the fecking circus we are seeing now. cooper got the job because he is a yes man he will accept whatever Rudkin and Top tell him and tow the party line, we will be cut adrift by Christmas and the season will be a complete and utter write off. The biggest worry for me is who the hell do we bring in when Cooper does get the bullet, because this job will be so unattractive so highly likely we end up with a washed up has been. The mismanagement of the last 3 years has been devastating and Enzo was actually our hope of dragging ourselves out of the shit and challenging the club to improve its standards. Rudkin and Top I have lost all faith in your plan and vision. For the sake of the club, sack Rudkin, or force him to resign. We have to change and move forward. Enough is enough.
  25. Wow whilst pre-season no way defines the shape of our season, this is looking pretty demoralising, week before the big kick off and I am not sure the manager has a scooby as to his preferred line up and we are so toothless going forward. Enzo was stubborn and frustrating with his insistence on playing one way but feck me at least we had a plan and an identity. Cooper was never my choice as Manager my fear is he is just a puppet and yes man to Rudkin and Top. This has been a poor poor summer for the club, we look to have zero plan or strategy, it just seems the whole thing is broken. Zero succession planning and our only idea is to play like Man City, what an absolute fecking shitshow we have become. I am dreading next Monday and the rest of the season, but look forward to a shit house 1-0 win and being made to look a complete arse come full time against Spurs 😂😂😂
