  1. I would imagine by the back end of the season a few of the players may have become frustrated by the rigid structure that Enzo implemented, I am sure at the beginning it was different and an air of something that many wouldn’t have experienced. I think the players will enjoy playing more off the cuff and be able to play with more freedom to express themselves. Some of the patterns of play under Enzo at times were superb however due to the philosophy and structure it also led to us quite often playing with the handbrake on and over time that will frustrate players as much as it did the fanbase.
  2. I think he will most likely end up with a championship loan where he gets lots of minutes and opportunity to shine.
  3. It does feel a bit chaotic, you would kind of hope that during the recruitment process you would agree with the new incoming manager that the strategy and recruitment would largely align with the general direction of travel of the club so that the summer plans were largely seamless and unhindered.
  4. Hi pal you seem to have the inside track on some bits and pieces in relation to the club and from a lot of your recent posts I detect a real concern and negativity regards Cooper,, is this drawn out from just opinion or is it stuff that you are hearing from decent sources as to his methods and strategy etc.
  5. I love my club always have and always will but have to say at this moment I have never felt so disengaged and disconnected not to the club but to the people who own and run our club. We have just been promoted and this pre season should be one of optimism and excitement and yet it just feels so meh and uninspiring with a significant points deduction on the horizon due to financial mismanagement and ineptitude of fairly epic proportions. The fanbase are becoming nothing.more than just paying customers that the commercial decision makers continually look for new ways to bleed dry, as shown with the season ticket card and then charging £10 to watch a pretty meaningless pre season friendly. To go from a club that was pretty much the envy of every club for how we operated both on and off the pitch to what we have now become, makes me sick to my stomach. I will never turn my back on Leicester City Football Club it is in my blood, bit the club in its current guise no longer relates to the club just a handful of seasons ago let alone the one I grew up supporting. Top needs to wake up and take a long hard look at the direction of travel, his family have proven in the past that they have the basis and formula that creates an atmosphere of togetherness and one where the fanbase feels connected and valued. Too many decisions made at the moment are reactionary following negative feedback, he needs to employ people who have the ability to recognise the type of decisions that will create negative reactions and not make them, rather than having to somewhat backtrack retrospectively, to try and repair the damage. Top, Whelan and Rudkin are so stale and the club needs a revamp, fresh ideas and innovative management to create new revenue streams that doesn’t rely on bleeding the fanbase of every last penny whilst creating a vulture where failure is accepted and rewarded through blind loyalty. The club continues to become more and more of a closed shop offering nothing more than lip service to the numerous fan groups. Top referred to being a mere custodian and it will always be our club, at this moment in time that comment couldn’t be further from the truth.
  6. Fabrizio Romano said it was pretty much a done deal Cantwell is going back to Norwich for around £6m, more likely he is going back to replace Sara, maybe we have an agreement in place and Norwich want to get their replacement sorted before the Sara move is announced.
  7. Given his friendship with Baraclough I am surprised he hasn’t ended up involved with the club at academy level.
  8. I am far from being one of Rudkin’s fans and in my opinion he should have lost his job for what has happened at the club over the last 2/3 years in relation to relegation and the PSR issues. However also I have never met the man and just because I feel his time has surely come to an end, doesn’t also necessarily mean that he doesn’t have a human side and that as fans we don’t necessarily see the good that he does. the article whilst most definitely a PR piece, offers insight from people who have worked directly with him and offers a differing perspective that perhaps whilst he should be moved on, he also isn’t the devil incarnate. @LinekersLugs if there is an internal civil war brewing then Top needs to step up and put an end to it, if that means removing one or both then so be it, he cannot allow personal ego’s or vendettas destroy the club.
  9. A player who has improved by not playing, if he does move on this summer, it will be the third manager who has decided there are better options ahead of him. In reality I think he was signed predominantly for his physical profile at a time when we were conceding goals from set pieces for fun, however there would appear other flaws in his game that people have identified that means he has dropped down the pecking order. The lack of interest from any premier league clubs last season and the fact that if he does leave this summer, it’s likely to be on loan to a championship club speaks volumes for the level he is actually at and another damning indictment of the recruitment under Rodgers in that transfer window and the lack of due diligence from the club to sanction.these deals. All 3 signings have offered very little in the way of a meaningful contribution.
  10. Might be that we are shipping out McAteer and Wanya on loan or selling them. We would potentially have Nelson, Mavididi, Fatawu, Decodova Reid, Soule as our attacking midfield options and that is without taking into account Alves and Golding who have also featured in pre season.
  11. Madness as a sale will be pure profit, only issue could be wages and any bonuses if he hasn’t asked for a move away. surely a reasonable up front fee plus some performance related add ons and hefty sell on % ensures we save face.
  12. I don’t have an issue with the Weghorst move in the slightest as long as the financies are sensible. He is a great professional, team player and has genuine quality, current Dutch international and offers something very different to our current strikers. Whilst he hasn’t set the world alight with his goal scoring record since he came to England, he has always looked an absolute handful to mark, his link up play is very good, his pressing and work rate is first class whilst offering a real physical presence in both boxes. overall seems a sensible addition to the squad if it happens.
  13. I can see us extending his contract for at least a couple of years but maybe cash in on him next summer if he does ok on loan.
  14. A certain Danny Ward played for Liverpool so not sure that is necessarily a given that he will be a roaring success or a world beater 😀
  15. One of the worst opinions I have read on here in ages 😂
  16. Just my opinion and I am talking about some of the other elements to being a goalkeeper. I actually think we are blessed with 2 excellent keepers.
  17. If Enzo feels a keeper who is very comfortable in possession and is integral to his style of play then Chelsea will not shy away from spending £30m + which means I think Hermansen will be very much on the radar. He has had 12 months of playing his style and is a talented keeper, he is the ideal candidate and with age and development on his side even if he did cost £30-40m including add ons, it is highly likely to be a deal of good value to both clubs. Also highly likely his wages with us will be good but also would be relatively cheap in comparison to the high earners at Chelsea. if we bank £30-35m of pure profit that is massive for us under PSR.
  18. I may be a bit controversial here but I actually felt when he played, Stolrcryk was arguably the better all round goalkeeper, better shot stopper and had a better presence at controlling his area, however whilst Jakub was competent with his feet, Mads is a class above. Personally I am think we should cash in as I am not convinced Mads will be anywhere near as effective as he is in Enzoball
  19. So did Mads at times, if you play that style you will make mistakes that put you in trouble, had Stolrcryk played more games he would have become better and better. Whilst we may not change drastically, I do wonder if the need for a specialist possession based goalkeeper will be as critical for us this season, which may mean we are prepared to cash in on Mads.
  20. I was chatting with my lad during the euros and we both thought Unai Simon of Spain was ready made for Enzoball
  21. The majority of what is posted on social media regarding transfers and speculation is posted to create interactions and clickbait. we have no idea what offers we have made, what Juve would be willing to accept in terms of fee and structure of the deal and most of all we have no clue as to Soule’s desire to join Roma or us. However what the Italian journalists have managed to do is create a narrative that there is a genuine battle for his signature and the ebb and flow of is he signing for us or Roma has had LCFC, Roma and Juve fans drawn into a saga that may not exist. Given Percy only tends to post what he deems fact at that time, would suggest to me that it’s coming to a conclusion and highly likely he will join us, usually when Percy posts it is pretty much done and dusted and I wouldn’t be surprised if this is concluded by early next week.
  22. I wouldn’t be shocked if Enzo came in for either Mads or Stolrcryk both very comfortable in possession and both very very competent keepers either way given Mads has about £4.5m book value and Stolrcryk will be pure profit we could and should make a very tidy profit if we were to sell either. What would be interesting if we were to sell Mads, would we go into the market or would the club look to us the funds elsewhere and look to use Stolrcryk and Iversen.
  23. For all we know this could be quite a big smokescreen and we have been used as a stalking horse to help create a bit of competition so Juve get a decent fee from Roma. I would not be shocked if we end up signing a player from Juve in the next week or two and Soule was never that heavily on our radar. I am pretty sure all the reports of our interest, bids and even personal terms were all coming from Italian journalists.
  24. I am clinging to the hope he goes there, goes full on Danny Ward and gets Rodgers the sack ….job done and revenge is sweet
  25. I get where you are coming from, however Okoli might be better suited to the profile of player we were looking for.
