  1. I thought you said an internal candidate had emerged or something along those lines, which intimated it wasn’t the current incumbent.
  2. I remember when KP initially took over and IIRC Top was the man in charge at the time we spunked a whole load of cash on shite like Matt Mills, SSL Beckford etc etc etc. Pearson came back to fix the mess and I am fairly sure Top was banished to spend time with Monks and Vichai stepped up to take a more active role, fast forward to now and it would appear based on the last 4/5 years Top has sadly learnt very little from the early days and still runs the club like a star struck teenager with zero business accumen, he has overseen an horrific overspend on muck and presided over a catastrophic collapse on and off the pitch that has resulted in 2 relegations in 3 seasons, financial meltdown and PR disasters including selling our soul to the devil to get into bed with the likes of FSB and BC Game as official club sponsors. The good work of Puel and Macia gave us a couple of years under Rodgers but as soon as Top handed the keys of power over to Brendan the rot started to set in. Top at both the start of the KP reign and now over the last 5 years as clearly demonstrated he is so far out of his depth and more concerning he doesn’t seem to learn from his mistakes, in fact he seems to double down on them. Unless he suddenly has some sort of epiphany, then I am afraid things are just going to keep getting worse and the disconnect with the fanbase will continue to widen. He has been a disaster since day 1 and it’s continuing now in this 2nd time of being the main decision maker and there appears very little in the way of him showing that he is maturing into an experienced and capable operator in the football world.
  3. Can only hope this somehow instigates some sort of breach of contract that enables Rohl to walk away and means we can press ahead and appoint him without having to pay any compensation.
  4. Who is the ITK who has changed his profile pic to Dyche?
  5. Given it was expected Ruud would leave as soon as relegation was confirmed and then again as soon as the last ball had been kicked of the season, would suggest that the only reason he is still here is due to PSR and given that reasoning plus the bits of info shared by @Wymsey does align to the narrative that Ruud will be gone by 1st July and it’s just a case of how quickly the club take to confirm his replacement. I honestly think similar to Sheffield United, Wilder hasn’t officially been sacked as yet but it would appear when it is announced it’s likely to coincide with the announcement of his replacement, I think it will be similar with us.
  6. We are clearly shopping in the bargain basement. So highly likely our search will be based on free agents, players approaching the final 12 months of their contract and players with a specified release clause fee. this is where this lad fits the bill as his contract expires next season and he has a release clause fee, we will no doubt made initial enquiries about 100’s of players and most won’t ever be pursued or will we ever hear about it, however in some instances the selling club or players agent will publicise it or leak it to a journalist to help flush out other interest or to try and force the hand of a genuinely interested club to meet wage demands or to hurry a move along.
  7. Agreed but I think he needs to shift up another level or two so the control and influence he has is significantly reduced.
  8. I think the announcement will be made on the 1st July and be something along the lines of - Following an extensive internal review following a very disappointing season which resulted in relegation, the club have made the decision to terminate the contract of Manager Ruud Van Nistelrooy with immediate effect, we would like to place on record our thanks to Ruud for his hard work and commitment and wish him well for the future. The club will now commence the process of recruiting a new manager.
  9. On face value it would appear Top is being promoted to a level that limits the amount of damage he can cause. He will have less influence and control and effectively becomes a figure head. Could there be a similar restructuring of the football club and an expert be appointed to work under Top but with a remit to get the club back on track.
  10. 🚨 Leicester City are weighing up a move for Leeds United striker Sam Greenwood (23), who has one year left on his contract at Elland Road [@MailSport] #LCFC #leicester #RVN #Nistelrooy #leicestercity
  11. On that basis could be as early as Monday 23rd or late as Sunday 29th. The wording would suggest Ruud leaving so potentially that could be announced at the beginning of the week with his replacement announced at the back end of the week. Timing would be strange as wouldn’t tie in with PSR timeline.
  12. Similar to last time we were relegated and FSB disappeared as our match kit sponsor but hung around on the training kit
  13. Another North West based Foxile?
  14. And appointing Dyche would be going down a similar path as Cooper, a manager who has already reached their peak and are on a downward trajectory.
  15. Our lot won’t take a risk on a championship manager or someone from the EFL so to take a punt on someone like above is highly unlikely, they probably haven’t even heard of him. Let’s be honest our criteria now appears to be - 1) Previously managed in premier league 2) Previously been a premier league legend and in Tops sticker book growing up 3) Lives within 20 minute commute of Seagrave to keep expenses down 😂
  16. Absolutely great post 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
  17. 😂 No worries Dychey let’s connect 👍🏼
  18. I actually think now is the perfect time, if he takes another role at a championship club say like a Bristol City, then there is a risk we will miss the opportunity. We are a big club but he is a big personality and we no longer have the big name players so it’s a squad he is well capable of man managing. I accept there still some ego’s at the club but again i think he has the ability to manage these issues if required.
  19. He has in his early days but has also worked at some basket case clubs including Salford where he was doing ok but got thrown under a bus. He seems very much like a Pearson type manager, a builder, a manager for a project, which is where we are. However our clueless board will continue to look for short term, stale solutions as they seem to have ditched any remnants of a long term strategy or plan, instead only focusing on promotion or surviving, our whole ethos now appears to be focused on hanging onto the coat tails of the premier league at all costs and slowly but surely this is killing any chance of us becoming another Brentford or Brighton and instead becoming Watford, Stoke, WBA and Norwich.
  20. Why not? He is a manager on the up and doing a very good job just like Muslic was at Plymouth or Rohl at Sheffield Wednesday. He is over achieving at a club like Leyton Orient and traditionally these type of appointments have worked well at our club such as Brian Little, Martin O’Neill and Nigel Pearson, managers who had earned there stripes managing and coaching in the football league. What I would say is the suggestions of managers such as Dyche etc are the stale and lazy choices that more align with our current board because they have managed in the premier league at some point or won promotion a decade ago. Muslic never played for us, Rohl never played for us but would have been progressive choices as would Wellens, but because he has played for us the idea should be dismissed because it’s an emotional choice, let me remind you most fans fecking moaned about him when he played here. He is a bloody good manager who is attainable and because he played here would probably crawl over broken glass to take the job, also because he has played here and been relatively successful he understands the club and what can be achieved, he played for Pearson so no doubt will have learned more than a little bit about what is needed to get this club back on track. So sorry for suggesting a former player who is doing a bloody unbelievable job with limited resources and has his club punching above their weight, rather than a stale former premier league manager who is on a downward trajectory.
  21. Fair enough, I thought it was more a point of they lost therefore not worthy of consideration.
  22. I think most fans have accepted that there cannot be a statement made about the manager as it’s clearly linked to PSR, however the club most definitely could and should have posted a message as soon as relegation was confirmed or the season had ended, recognising that the season had been a disaster from start to finish and that a full and thorough review of all departments would take place, which could conveniently conclude on the 1st July with the announcement of Ruud’s departure and a number of other structural changes within the club. To just sit on their hands and say nothing demonstrates just how out of kilter they are and the complete lack of awareness or respect they have to the fanbase. As @Chelmofox says we will always be supporters of Leicester City, it’s in our blood and our hearts, you cannot switch that on and off however it doesn’t mean you have to support the ownership or accept how they are currently running the club. Engagement with your fanbase is even more important and critical in the bad and challenging times than it is in the good times. A half decent and competent head of communications would recognise this and be advising and producing a number of communications to be released throughout the close season to engage the fanbase and start to create some positive momentum leading up to pre season, instead we have radio silence or a few happy birthday messages. It really is own goal after own goal with this mob.
  23. Agreed but the commute North to Scotland is a lot easier than the commute south, I think this could happen and Coady would travel/stay in Scotland whilst his family stay in NW which is pretty much what he is doing now with us, he commutes/stays in Leicester whilst his family are in NW.
  24. I reckon £14m and we deal, that would be £10m profit which would be significant in current climate. You also have to factor in whether he really wants to stay and does he have the heart and desire for another season in the championship. last time around it was probably seen as a great opportunity to join a club at the start of an exciting new journey, now 2 years on it’s a very different picture.
