  1. You can also add Brian Little to that list as well, he came in and did a superb job of turning the club around.
  2. I am going to see how the summer pans out will watch us on TV and may travel down for a few home games and some local away days. Not to line the pockets of KP but more out of my love of my club.
  3. The issue I have is we are so reactive, any DoF worth his salt will have a list of potential future managers that they are constantly reviewing and updating, we seem so lazy where we literally only start looking at potential managers once there is a vacancy and our obsession with managers who have some level of premier league experience is severely restricting the pool of managers we will consider.
  4. Can’t believe I missed Riyad Mahrez and Tony Knockeart of my list
  5. Don’t know what you mean, countless happy birthday messages, I mean surely wishing club stalwarts like David Oldfield best wishes makes up for the absolute crud fest of this season just ended 😀
  6. Whilst we are beyond frustrated with our ownership I would imagine in the football world managers such as Rohl et al would view working for the club and Top as a fairly attractive prospect, great facilities, recent track record of success, decent backing given to managers in the summer. a good manager who backs himself will see this as still a great chance to push on.
  7. Agreed pal especially when there were rumours of him wanting to step down/back last season and that we were rumoured to be interviewing potential candidates (George Friend) springs to mind
  8. also one to consider, whist Rosenior has signed a new contract that could include a release clause in the event an English club come calling.
  9. I wonder if that would be some sort of breach of contract that could nullify Danny Rohl’s release clause and enable him to leave for free.
  10. Hamza is a wonderful example of how we have massively over rewarded our squad players with long term contracts on excessive wages. I would have no issue whatsoever with him being part of our squad on £15k-£25k per week max but £40k-£60k is absolutely ridiculous and sums up the horrendous management at the club that has led us to this point and where we have completely hamstrung ourselves. Our demise is completely of our own doing and still there is zero accountability or any indication we will make the required changes to our set up to rectify these issues.
  11. I think given we had Vardy, Daka and Kelechi already here it wouldn’t be deemed a decent loan move as his game time would have been severely restricted, and that would would be a big red flag to any club loaning players out. Hence why in the end we signed Cannon on a permanent.
  12. Especially when we are transfixed with making short term decisions like appointing shite like Cooper and signing muck such as Ayew, Skipp and BDCR.
  13. My personal favourites through the years Gary Lineker Alan Young Jim Melrose Andy Peake Kevin MacDonald Bobby Smith Paul Ramsey Steve Lynex Alan Smith Gary McAllister Ally Mauchlen Steve Walsh Tommy Wright Kevin Campbell Mark Draper Muzzy Izzet Neil Lennon Steve Claridge Matt Elliott Steve Guppy Matt Piper Matty Fryatt Iain Hume Paul Dickov Jack Hobbs David Nugent Wes Morgan Kasper Schmichael Marc Albrighton Ngolo Kante Youri Tielemans Wilf Ndidi Wesley Fofana Harvey Barnes Abdul Fatawu and ………….. Jamie Vardy
  14. Well that’s good then because he is someone I have been impressed with for longer than 2 months ago 😀
  15. Absolutely his PPG record over the season would have had them 12th, he is a very good manager, makes me smile, some of our fanbase bemoan our decision makers for continually only looking at managers who have managed in England and some previous premier league experience but then don’t want us taking a chance on a young upcoming progressive manager. in this instance we absolutely need someone who is going to come in and do things differently not some duffer who will come in and rinse/repeat.
  16. Absolutely fuming, he is gettable but yet again we fanny about with our obsession of managers with premier league experience.
  17. I could see us going in for Shea Charles if Russell Martin is appointed.
  18. Or maybe between him and his agent they are entertaining potential clubs left right and centre and perhaps haven’t shown that much desire and commitment towards the Leicester job and therefore we have cooled our initial interest
  19. If RM does come in wouldn’t be surprised to see us make a move for Carl Rushworth from Brighton.
  20. Agreed 100%, I am no fan of Ruud or Cooper but Winks behaviour this season has not been great, the I miss you Enzo sign and then the refusal to stay one night a week at the training ground, whilst not a contractual obligation, speaks volumes of the lack of professionalism. For me he has to be moved on, if both Winks and Vesty are in the squad/starting XI at the start of the season then it really does send out the message that the players are ruling the roost and that cannot happen.
  21. We also need to remember there will/should be academy break out players such as Aluko, Cartwright, Braybrooke, Alves, Golding, Page etc that can become squad members, so the need to replace outgoings with all new signings is not going to be necessary. Critical positions where we will need to bring new signings in will be goalkeeper to challenge Jakub, striker or two to replace Vardy and an attacking midfielder to replace the void of both Facu and BEK leaving. Then it may be a case of the odd additional signing if there are any unexpected or additional departures. In total I can’t see more than 5-6 new signings with the rest being academy promotions.
  22. I am sadly clinging onto the hope that Russell Martin is the name leaked as the next manager only to end up as someone else, it’s happened quite a bit with recent appointments, Marsch then Smith, Parker then Enzo, Potter then Cooper so here’s hoping Martin only for it to be Rohl or Muslic or Wellens.
  23. Would just have been kicking the can down the road. The rot had already set in because of poor decisions. Even the massive shock of that relegation has not given certain decision makers the kick up the arse so if we had stayed up, it would have just papered over the cracks even more. Whole club is in denial. We are lucky that we got Enzo for 12 months who at least tried to reset the culture of the club, to a point so is Ruud but he has such a piss poor run he has lost any credibility.
  24. He will be the best if not one of the best goalkeepers in the league next season. Has always done well when called upon, once he gets a decent consistent run of games and is playing week in and week out he will push on. His career so far with us has largely been stop/start and has never really had a chance to get a decent run of games.
  25. I don’t think it’s a direct PSR issue, I think it’s more related to the amount of compensation owed, if we terminate during the season he would be entitled to the full amount stated, however at the end of the season his compensation clause may be dependent on finishing position, so by hanging onto the end of the season, Ruud may be entitled to a lesser payment linked to our final league position than if he was to be sacked with 3 or 4 games still left to play.
