The signing somewhat made sense at the time, we had lacked on field leadership, however that doesn’t mean you have to offer a 3 year deal and ridiculous wages, why not offer a 2 year deal with an option for a 3rd year based on hitting certain performance targets. Also offer a reasonable wage but again heavily incentivise it so again the player is rewarded if they and the team are performing. At the moment, all I see is a player on the decline who spends more time preparing for his move into the media at the end of his career and offering sound bites that the players are all a band of brothers and yet every matchday they look anything but.

Too be fair if he had a decent keeper and striker they would be flying, Sanchez is appalling and Jackson whilst he does score a few he is very inconsistent and makes some really poor decisions when in very good positions.

Sorry don’t agree, Seagrave should inspire players, anyone slacking off because they think they have made it should be moved on ASAP,. The biggest clubs have the best facilities and this sets the standards and culture. Our problem is the board have allowed players to become entitled and the standards to drop. It shows how poor our recruitment has been and that we no longer carry out the necessary due diligence on players character, also over paying rank average players creates a comfort zone and removes any hunger and desire.

I actually think Kingy will be an excellent manager in the future, however as much as it would be exciting, it would worry me that given the clown show in and around him and a squad full of egos and shysters would it be too big a challenge for him so early in his career, only way it could work was if he could bring in an experienced No2 to support him. If Ruud does go, I think it’s far more like Brian Barry-Murphy steps up as he has previous managerial experience

If he is resigning they may have asked him to stay on for the game so not to disrupt the preparations too much and also might have offered him a sweetener to stay on rather than walk with immediate effect.

The facility is absolutely world class, this is not the problem, the reason results and player fitness has not improved is down to the fact that the club is filling the place full of mediocre talent. Enzo proved the facility can deliver good results from a coaching, training and fitness standpoint. The problem is the standard of the club have dropped off the edge of a cliff in recent years. Happy to accept failure and happy to indulge players such as Danny Ward, Hamza etc etc with large and lengthy contracts, there is no jeopardy for these players, just hang around stinking the joint out. if we were serious about changing the mentality and resetting where we are as a club, we would move these clowns out and start again.

Biggest issue here is if either Ruud, the players or both have checked out, if the rumours are true of bust ups and Ruud massively frustrated by lack of incomings then this could be absolute carnage and on that basis I am going for a 0-1 shithouse away win 😂

Too be honest if the Monaco interest is serious then it has to be considered, it is time for a complete rebuild and for that reason I would suggest with the exception of some of the younger players, everyone else in the squad should be moved on if and when the opportunity presents itself and the chance to build a completely new squad of young hungry saleable assets.

This morning press reports of Ruud frustrated by lack of transfer activity, then lo and behold this evening a story is leaked that he has had massive bust up with players, parting of the ways inevitable now and seems like both parties are laying the groundwork to justify walking away
