  1. Thanks for the clarification, when you say it’s not a happy camp, do you mean the players with Ruud or is it more frustration with the lack of investment in this window which is creating the issues?
  2. Is this a guess or with some inside knowledge? If so surprised he is being afforded Sundays game if the decision has already been made, unless he is walking and has agreed to manage this game and then step down.
  3. 17 year old right winger 1 goal and 1 assist in 5 first team games
  4. The issue we have is that most of our “leaders” aren’t necessarily first choice or are at an age or injury record where they are at risk of missing lots of games. Vardy even last season, was rotated a lot , Riccy P’s injuries take their toll each season, Coady isn’t 1st choice, then you are left with players like Hamza, Winks and Wilf. When you compare to the likes of Walsh, Elliott, Izzett, Wes, Kasper etc it’s slim pickings. I would say next summer it’s vitally important we sign a couple of players who are genuine leaders but also at a stage in their careers where they can still be effective and established 1st team regulars.
  5. Couldn’t agree more, appalling decision, not only was Kasper still the best goalkeeper at the club at the time we moved him on, but he was a leader and most importantly he set, maintained and demanded professionalism and high standards, as soon as he left you could see the drop off, no way would we have been relegated had he stayed. It always felt like it was a Brendan decision but given how he has signed and flourishing at Celtic, then it can only have been a club led decision which is even more baffling and bizarre to comprehend.
  6. Absolutely shocking and speaks volumes for how we are operating as a club, everyone involved in sanctioning that deal should be sacked. We are restricted in the transfer market as it is without making reckless decisions based on an agent recommendation and no scouting or due diligence, £13m spent on a whim. Just another in a long line of bad decisions that are indefensible.
  7. Given his age and the fact he is relatively untested, only played a handful of games for Celtic and has played 18 games for Watford, I think £5m upfront, plus performance related adds on of a further £2.5m and a sell on % of any future profit would be a decent deal for both parties, in my opinion.
  8. Completely agree pal was just about to suggest him as well, can play anywhere across the attacking 3 positions is on a 4 year deal with Watford and only joined in the summer but reckon we could prise him away for £5m
  9. Or the club misled Ruud as to the level of funds available in this window, wouldn’t be the first time
  10. Can people stop using Seagrave as an excuse, it’s a world class facility, the issue isn’t a plush training ground with top resources, that is exactly the right decision to be made, the issue is we haven’t backed that up with the right standards and culture. Maresca showed how this facility could be used to drive a winning mentality and culture. I also have no doubt Pearson in his pomp would have done as well. The issue is not the facility but the quality and character of the people utilising it.
  11. It does make sense as you say, just not sure i trust Glover and Rudkin to bring in the right player in this window.
  12. Or it’s the typical Leicester City winter transfer window, as they slowly but surely shift the goalposts and leak snippet after snippet of information to dampen the possibility of any serious movement.
  13. Couldn’t agree more, Seagrave is a world class facility, the frustration is we aren’t maximising its potential because we have a piss poor scattergun strategy. Get someone with a sustainable plan and strategy and watch us reap the benefits. Last season showed appoint a top drawer coaching set up and look what can happen. Fill a Ferrari with horse shit, it’s still an elite car but just fecking stinks vile, I can only compare Seagrave to this analogy as we currently stand.
  14. Brilliant episode that really captured the frustrations and feelings of a lot of the fanbase. keep up the good work
  15. If. Mads is out long term then we do need competent cover/competition for Jakub especially as Iversen will gone in the summer or maybe there js a chance to offload now for a nominal fee, so we need to being in a replacement.
  16. Ange now odds on with most bookies to be the next manager to go ……would have him here absolutely
  17. What I am saying his he has continued to sanction investing in the playing squad, this season we had a net spend of circa £80m. I agree that it has mainly been spaffed on crap but that is what he employs Rudkin, the manager and the head of recruitment to identify the players and negotiate the deals. Where Top is too blame is for allowing duffers like Rudkin. Cooper and Glover loose to waste it on shite.
  18. Superb post 👏🏼👏🏼
  19. Let’s be straight here, our demise and current situation is not down to the lack of investment, in fairness to Top in that sense we have continued to spend money on the squad, the issue is the piss poor transfer strategy, recruitment and negotiation of fees and wages, over the years the odd sale of a real gem has papered over the cracks but in reality our track record of moving on squad fillers and players who are no longer required is absolutely appalling, very rarely do we manage to agree any level of reasonable transfer fee and instead we either loan them out in the vain hope of attracting a buyer, or after failed loan after failed loan we try to re-integrate a player who has effectively checked out back into the first team environment until they piss off on a free. It’s all well and good when your star is bright when players and prospective managers want their agents to approach us however when you are in free fall as we are and on a downward trajectory you need to be innovative and creative. Step out of comfort zones and rebuild with a clear strategic direction. How it looks to me, is that Rudkin has hit a glass ceiling and as our fortunes take a turn for the worse his limitations are now fully exposed. Whether the demise is entirely down to Rudkin and over time his over promotion has come home to roost or if it is the consequence of an owner who has took his hands off the wheel and gave direction to push ahead with over inflated wages and was more than happy to keep players rather than sell for fees deemed below valuation. I would envisage it’s somewhere in the middle, a respected and experienced DoF would be challenging the model, advising to move on players and be creative with how we structure deals to get best value for incomings and outgoings, he would also be pushing back on over paying for players. IMO Rudkin protects himself by landing the players, managers and recruitment identify but does it by vastly over paying either on fees or wages. He is out of his depth, why is it when we fail we are more than happy to sack the manager but the DoF continues to operate with what would appear to be free reign and above any level of scrutiny or challenge. Let’s be straight here if this was any other club the DoF would have been long gone.
  20. 1/6 on betfair to be the next manager to leave
  21. Do you know something Ric?
  22. I think he will resign, he won’t stand for his reputation taking a tonking, he has the perfect get out, point to the restrictions in the transfer market and confirm this wasn’t what was sold to him.
  23. I may be wrong but when KP first arrived didn’t Top initially take control make an absolute pigs ear of things, hiring “high profile names” as managers such as Sousa and Sven and throwing a shit tonne of money at dross signings, only to have to go cap in hand back to Nige to come and sort it all out and get them out of jail. IIRC Vichai got more involved to sort out the mess his son had created, would appear history is repeating itself.
  24. We are down so would prefer to bring in a manager with a long term vision, Danny Rohl would be amazing but wouldn’t be against John Eustace, Tom Cleverly or Liam Rosenior. I would also take a look at Richie Wellens who has done brilliantly at Leyton Orient.
  25. I have a funny feeling todays result will have massive repercussions, would not be shocked if Ruud walks or is relieved of his duties and also that Top finally decides to put his big boy pants on and starts making some major changes to the board.
