Truth is the guy is a complete and utter maverick, on his day can be superb and capable of moments of brilliance but he can be so complacent and even when having a good game he can drop an absolute brain fart.

I did pal, invited some mates who are fans to help me build it, anyway was going great until about 10 minutes from the end when everyone knobbed off early 😂

What has happened in regard to BC Game it’s all gone a bit quiet, however like the relegation end of season review, I am comfortable in the knowledge the club are carrying out all necessary due diligence 😂

Let’s hope the Rudkin and Chums out chants are loud and proud before the game, throughout half time and at the end (if anyone is left 😂)

As part of any pay off or loyalty payment they probably sign some sort of confidentiality agreement, it’s interesting that every single manager who leaves our club regardless of the circumstances never really goes into any detail or provides any in depth insight into what has gone on. If anything both Rodgers and Enzo were more vocal whilst still employed than they were once they had left.

I agree to a degree in regards to Daka and Soumare in relation to signing them however did we really need to offer them both £80k per week. Daka was reportedly on £7k per week at RB Salzburg so even if we had offered £35k per week that would still have been 5x his salary, I can’t believe we thought it was financially savvy to offer him in excess of 10x his salary, and that is where we have lost all control of our costs.

Problem is some of those targets were absolute muck, we have offered and paid extortionate wages to players like Choudhury, Ward, Bertrand, Vestergaard, Skipp, Edouard, Daka, Soumare you could also probably throw Praet and Perez into that group as well.

I agree they haven’t reached the levels we did but Brighton have got into Europe, and continue to challenge whilst the others are up there in the mix this season for top 7 also. What I am saying is we stepped away from our model and as a consequence we hamstrung ourselves and ended up masters of our downfall. Cold hard facts PSR did not make us offer Hamza a new contract on £60k per week, nor did it force us to offer Danny Ward an extension on £40k per week whilst handing out eye watering wages to Daka and Soumare. In reality we should have cashed in on Hamza 3/4 seasons ago when it was clear he was never going to be anymore than squad cover, we may have only got £4/5m at the time but that would have covered year one of Daka or Soumare’s amortised fee, likewise we turned down £4/5m for Iversen from Palace last summer and then loaned him out for next to nothing to Stoke in January, again this would have been entire profit, which massively helps with PSR compliance.

The rules are crap however lots of other clubs are working within the rules and maintaining success, they have done it with clever recruitment, innovative use of stats and analysis and most importantly a model where they regularly cash in on talent to reinvest and go again, Brighton, Brentford, Bournemrouth, Fulham and now Forest are all enjoying success, they have also been brave with managerial appointments and not been afraid to make a change at the right time. Much of our issues are self inflicted and PSR has just highlighted them more, our recruitment has been scattergun and lazy at times, we moved a way from a successful model and our managerial changes and appointments have been often been poorly timed and lack continuity of consistency. We have rewarded average players with very high wages and long contracts so too many have have become comfortable to sit on the bench and see out the contracts, we have removed any hunger and desire. The final point is whilst we often brag about our academy the majority of these players tend to only get a chance beyond the age of 21, it’s very rare we give an 18 year old an opportunity, there were glimpses under Enzo last season, but as a whole we seem reluctant to give our academy prospects a genuine pathway to the first team until they have reached a certain age. For where we are now, we have to be brave, rip it up and start again with a model that focuses on recruiting young hungry managers and players including our academy prospects, develop a style and way of playing, and then recruit players and managers who are align with that philosophy. We also have to accept we will sell players and like Enzo lose managers to elite clubs but it’s that model that will underpin our success and whilst we will sometimes take a step back it will gove us the chance to take two forward. Rather than this stale way we operate currently where we are regressing with each and every season to a club that offers little or no forward planning, strategy or model.

RVN has said he is out for a number of weeks, I reckon he is being protected in the event we sell in this window.

It says we are confident but will be close which could still mean it is open to conjecture or interpretation, I would not be shocked if PL announce we have breached.

So there we have it the official Percy article basically preparing the fanbase for a potential points deduction but we are hard done too backdrop, at best a transfer window that delivers one or two bargain basement signings but most likely none due to finances and confirming Mads will be gone by the summer. So that is manager number 3 who has quoted pre transfer window that there would be opportunities to bring players in to then have his wings clipped, also factor in that he has barely recruited his own backroom team and I have a horrible feeling he will walk in February stating he had not been made aware of these issues and he cannot work with owners/directors who have lost credibility and relationship is therefore untenable. What an absolute farcical situation and I bet Rudkin will still cling on to his job, despite the mess we find ourselves in.

Agreed however there was a lot of hard work and innovative thinking aligned with clever recruitment, analytics and sports science, what is proves is no matter the size or stature of your club, if you recruit well, have a defined strategy that everyone buys into and you are constantly improving and ensuring continuity then whatever division you are in, you can be competitive however get lazy or complacent and no matter how big a club you are or how much recent success you have enjoyed it will come crashing down. All our previous success has shown me is what can be achieved with good organisation, structure, a philosophy and continuity, unfortunately we took our eye off the ball and veered away from what had made us successful and now we are floundering around with a scattergun approach and desperation to find a short cut back to where our owners want to belong. Some times you have to take two steps back, rebuild and start again we had that chance with Enzo and it seemed to be bearing fruit, clever recruitment and the progression of academy prospects, then in the summer we lose Enzo and all of a sudden the blue print is ripped up and we are back to paying extortionate fees, wages and saddling the club with long term contracts for rank average and aging players who are barely good enough to warm the bench, with a failed manager who was the complete opposite to the style of play we have employed and who was allowed to dismantle the hard work from last season and have a significant influence in our recruitment strategy which largely focused on players who don’t really fit our profile. Yes the PSR rules are crap 💩but the majority of our issues are down to us and our piss poor decision making and ripping up everything good.

Absolutely criminal if we are unable to use the multi club ownership model to our advantage. We are literally negotiating with ourselves.

What we have to remember is that our 3 year permitted losses reduce from £105m to £83m due to our relegation. Maybe that is what has caught us out. Knowing our lot they probably got to within the £105m threshold but forgot about the reduction.

There are allowable losses, so if it is us it’s highly likely down to interpretation of what we have deemed exclusions against what the Premier League deem as accepted losses, so in the red corner we have the PL an organisation who couldn’t administer their own rules against in the blue corner LCFC, who pay big wages to squad filler shite and massive fees for bench warmers and who’s only line of defence is it isn’t fair and is stopping teams from being competitive, whilst being relegated with the most expensive squad in PL history. Should be interesting, if nothing else 😂😂

And explains Ruud’s comments in last weeks press conference when he stated both Edouard and Facundo were staying as loan players, I think it has become apparent Palace will not entertain him returning and therefore we are stuck with him.

What is interesting is who is the source briefing Tom Collomose with this level of insight, it seems whoever it is, is looking to paint club or a certain individual(s) in a poor light, this is only going to further damage Rudkin’s position and reputation amongst the fanbase. Almost as if there someone who wants to make his position as precarious as possible or even untenable.

Makes me smile, had we had that back 4 and the midfield 2 in front of them going into a game in the championship last season we would have been nervous, let alone going into a Premier League game away to a champions league team, just continues to reiterate how poor our recruitment and squad management has been.

I am so disillusioned by the club but at the same I love the montage and always clap the lifting of both trophies as these were things I never dreamed of seeing in my lifetime, and given they were such amazing achievements they should never be forgotten but at the same time that shouldn’t also mean certain individuals are beyond scrutiny or given a free pass for more recent failings.

Have a look at Man United absolute basket case of a club and despite appointing a world class manager in Anorim, they are also going through an horrific run of form, it shows that whilst appointing a top manager it’s not always the silver bullet, it will take time, a couple of transfer windows and a pre season to really stamp your mark on a club especially when they have been so poorly run. Now take a look at Leicester City who have gone along a similar path of scattergun managerial appointments and player recruitment which has left us with massively unbalanced, overpaid mash up of a squad. Over the last 2.5 seasons we have had 5 managers, Rodgers, Smith, Enzo, Cooper and now Ruud, where is the continuity in those appointments, each time we change manager we have gone from one style to another which suggests zero succession planning, therefore we see differing styles, different profiles of players and as a consequence a bloated squad of average players who signed to suit a specific style at the time. We are so poorly run now, we have no long term plan, identity and style of play which means that at least our recruitment would be sustainable and in the event of a change of manager who is we aligned to our style of play the squad would be fit for purpose. We are already seeing 3/4 of this summers recruits bench warming, there is zero long term strategy or planning we are literally winging it and hoping we get lucky. We are so far away from the club we were where teams like Brentford, Brighton and Bournemouth aspired to emulate, we have now become the Man United of the also rans, lazy and scatter gun in our approach, no discerniable plan or identity and resting on our Premier League and FA Cup laurels. Absolutely pitiful how we have fallen away and it is the Manager, who has only just joined, been hit hard for injuries and has a lack of quality and depth in certain positions due to appalling recruitment, who is being questioned rather than the common denominators in all of this who are the DoF and Owner who have been culpable in our demise.
