  1. It really doesn't dispel the idea that certain clubs are treated differently to the rest of the league
  2. Not when the charges were announced in 2023 and it still hasn't been resolved. I don't think it is silly to compare the speed of action at all. In fact I think the whole football world should be demanding an outcome to this issue as it has possibly affected several clubs.
  3. Another thought... Funny how you can handle 25 charges of spying faster than 115 financial charges
  4. I guess not many teams train in such open environments? Its bonkers how easily they were caught. There run to the playoffs suggests there is more but I guess it can't be proven
  5. England's problem has been a complete refusal to have a Plan B. We simply refused to play to Vardy's strengths. That said, I don't think he was World Class but probably towards the top of whatever titled category you'd have next. I'd put Elliot, Izzet, Lennon, Heskey, Fofana, Kaspa and Youri (at times) in this category too. Mahrez and Kante were World Class. They instantly improved any team and didn't require the team to change style etc to accommodate them. Cambiasso wasn't world class for us. He was a world class player that had lost a bit. Mancini probably falls into this category too.
  6. True. Perhaps 2 systems needed? One for good pitches and one for bad. Imagine watching a Leicester team with a plan B 😂
  7. If you watch Div1 or Div2 games the playing surfaces are terrible compared to Championship/Premier league.
  8. Souttar- based on that performance I'd rather keep him than any other CB.
  9. I want to pretend I don't care. It is just football after all. We all knew it was coming. I thought I had no hope left. And then they tried. Thomas Scored and for 20minutes the hope came back. And now it hurts. And I'm angry. I went to bed thinking about it and woke up thinking about it too. You know its bad when your mates (who support other teams) don't message abuse but are you OK? Just checking in on you messages... And although its normally 'fun' predicting the future, where we are it actually isn't. There isn't a player (we own) I want to build a team around. Yes the youngsters are exciting but they still need leaders. And that's the problem. Where is the leader we all respect? We haven't one.
  10. Top has had a statement published on the Facebook page
  11. There isn't a player (that we own) that played tonight that I want lining up for us next season. Not one. As fans we've endured 3 awful seasons in the last four years. Even the Maresca season was spineless at times.
  12. You are probably right. I was thinking Schlupp can play a number of positions and would bring experience which we will need. He has always struck me as a good pro too. He played in the champions League for Celtic before Christmas. And he has his Leicester past.
  13. Different Take. Who do I want here? 1. Stolarczyk/Vieites 2. Aluko/Hamza 3. Schlupp/Thomas 4. Vestergaard/Souttar 5. Nelson/Wilson-Brown 6. Skipp/Braybrooke 8. Page/Alves 8. C-Reid/Hutchinson 10. Evans/Silko 9. Drinan/Wootton 11. Monga/Heskey Free Transfer Schlupp Loan Jaden Heskey (Man City) Money Wootton (Stockport County) Dinran (Swindon Town) Pinnock (Bromley) Hutchinson (Bristol Rovers) Squad weakness- size and physicality (still) Strengths- Leicester academy identify. Hungry players who will want to be here.
  14. Wilson-Brown has been good for promotion chasing Swindon this year (when fit). I'd imagine he could make the step up to league 1.
  15. Like Cooper he keeps us in the game but we have nothing to get us over the line.
  16. I don't disagree but we haven't a choice
  17. Should we have saw out the season with Cooper? And should we have saw out this season with Cifuentes? Has the pursuit for better managers caused further rot?
  18. The year after we won the title. Was the beginning. We had a recovery under Puel and Rogers (initially). We then imploded under Rogers. That 1st game of the season against Brentford. 2-0 up and Rogers refused to make a substitution as he had been saying he needed players and we drew 2-2... The teams, tactics and substitutes he made from that point on started the change in attitude amongst the club as it all became all about money. Rogers a pay off from being sacked. The players on high wages. The club PSR. And the fans distrust in the squad, management and the first questions about the hierarchy.
  19. This. Only if we win our next 3 games will I allow myself hope
  20. I think we are doomed. I don't know how he changes it with 4 games to go. There isn't a player he can bring in different to what we have got. The youngsters aren't bailing us out of this.
  21. I know it's popular to have a pop at him but it wasn't a penalty. He played the ball into the attacker. Hence why it was a goal kick. His chasing back for their goal was his clanger today. But even there he needed Ricardo to slow the player on the ball down by engaging him while he had nobody to pass too.
  22. A few asking what Skipp does. He breaks down the oppositions play by intercepting passes or getting in the faces of players. This sometimes drags him out of position which is why he needs a midfield partner who can also run. Winks takes up the space but doesn't cover ground well. James does the things Skipp doesn't do and runs hence why they are the best pair. Therefore you either play Winks in a 3 with two 8s like in the Maresca season or you play James and Skipp in a two.
  23. Has anyone made a list of who is going as their contract is up?
  24. I think we can survive. We should survive. And that's the problem. After a conversation with an Oxford United fan (yes they have one) I've come to realise we have the hardest challenge as teams won't roll over for us; the already on the beach thing won't happen. Opposing teams like nothing better than kicking the ass of a load of Premier League has beens. It's reputation building for opposing players. We are a free hit to teams with nothing to play for. Hopefully, he was just a great wind up and very wrong.
