I would tend to agree. United have stalled, stagnated and regressed many top talents in recent years. Shows that one player coming in isnt going to propel them to the top anytime soon. Papering over cracks.

Can't see a drastic improvement at United with him, there problems are being patched over. Hopefully this drives the boys on to knock them down another peg this season.

Few comments on the stoke game. A gritty/tough game for the lads (most of who I assume are in BRs starting 11 plans for Wolves). I think a game like that is going to only be positive for them mentally. Bossed it possession wise and in spells, played some really nice one touch football. Going to have to work on converting dominance into goals. Finishing needs sharpening up as does playing the final ball. Looks like Perez has been given that sort of wide-front man role and pops up all over the final 3rd, not sure if that's confusing Tielemans game, who didn't have a bad one but not as sure of himself as he normally does. Maddison, Ricardo, Perez the stand outs for me!

Personally, I don't see him as a leader. He's a good defender but he doesn't strike me as an effective communicator . Wes until he gives it up, then Kasper/Evans wouldn't be a bad shout. Vardy could of made an excellent captain. Maybe choudary in the future? he's got a tenacious drive which would stand him in good stead.
