Season Ticket Renewal Deadline Shut
OnlyOneCity replied to The Year Of The Fox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Another patronising post by someone who can’t accept that many of us want to continue to follow and actively support The City. You have exercised your choice to not support them any more but can’t seem to afford others the choice to carry on supporting them, without having some sort of pathetic dig. Will wait for your future critical posts with little interest. -
This response seems to have become a glib answer aimed at anyone who shows support for the club.

LCFC 0-3 Newcastle - Post Match Thread

In that case, last 2 years and counting, are in the past. We’re celebrating a historic event for our club. If you think that’s naff, then that’s your opinion. I still every now and again, watch the highlights video of the title winning season. Should I be throwing the DVD away and never enjoy that pleasure again? I bet I’m not the only one who watches it now and again. Should we not listen to any music more than 2 years old as that would be living in the past. If you find it cringey then that’s a shame. We have very little to celebrate. -

It’s not the same. Football was in a completely different then. Nearly 2 generations have past. If people want to applaud the video, that’s their business not yours. You keep your hands in your pockets and the look of contempt on your face and others can just enjoy what was a wonderful time for this club, less than 10 years ago. -

It’s a bit different still rejoicing in something that happened 9 years ago, which many of us witnessed, than something that took place 45 years ago when many weren’t even born. -
Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

Seems to be standard practice. Usually reserved for players who were popular or local. Not really weird. There’s very little sportsmanship shown by fans these days so it makes a change . We’re pretty good with most former players as are fans of other clubs. -

FFS they were clapping the fact that he didn’t celebrate not that he scored! -
I thought the applause was for his reaction to scoring by not celebrating, not because he scored.

And vital mistakes….

Whoever we get, stop the tippy tappy style. It looks like it may have started to run its course. Even Guardiola has commented that other teams are playing a direct style with some success. It wasn’t designed to be played on the halfway line in the defence own half, when Barca started it under Pep, it was mostly quick passes around the opposing penalty area with an end product. It used to bamboozle the opposition. Now it’s just a bore fest . Don’t want Martin as he insisted that Saints played that way. They seemed to concede a lot of goals from keeper/defenders passing about near the penalty area and getting caught out.

Bit of a bitter and despicable post. Is it a wind up?
-
We don’t create any chances because we have a midfield which is devoid of any attacking skill. Neither Ndidi nor Soumare can be relied upon to even carry the ball for a few yards before getting dispossessed because of dallying on the ball, or providing an accurate pass before losing control of the ball. Ipswich have a much better midfield who play balls up to Delap. He wouldn’t score if he had our midfield.
-
He could be 25 but if he’s getting no service whatsoever then it doesn’t matter how old he is. He actually can still run the channels and run in behind when the ball passes the halfway line. Holding the ball up has never been his game.
-
He’s been very frustrated at times. Wouldn’t call him meek.
-
Very much like those fans who insist on filming throwing themselves at other fans and knocking people out of the way when we score. (A rare thing now) All to put on Social Media
-
Agreed. If Everton had wind of us trying for Moyes, they would have been in sooner and made sure they got him. He would have been tipped the wink that Everton were after him and waited for the inevitable.
-
Would like to see us sign one or two Eastern European players. Preferably defenders. They are usually physically strong and athletic. There are quite a few in the PL and all seem pretty solid.
-
You can’t seem to accept that your opinions aren’t everyone else’s. You won’t be going, that’s your choice. Others will use their choice and go. You’re very patronising and full of your own self opinionated importance .

Ever been ejected from a match ?

Some people do mature as they age and some have probably replaced former South Stand types. Originals will probably be long gone. -

There are plenty of posts over the years that imply or just actually say this. -

You do realise that by admitting to supporting City nearly 40 years ago and still going(?)You run the risk of being culled as you are too old and taking seats from younger fans! -
Coldest you’ve ever been at a game

So grateful for the free flag as it added another layer to ease the constant shivering. -
Will you go to any more matches this season?
OnlyOneCity replied to hejammy's topic in Leicester City Forum
Maybe I am. It doesn’t mean that I don’t get angry, disillusioned, disheartened, let down and disappointed by what happens at the club, but I have been through many ups and downs over the years and no doubt will have more to come. But this is my team, my club and the current situation, however dire, is not going to stop me supporting them.
