  1. Too many times he carries the ball as if he’s daydreaming. How many times is he caught and robbed from behind with no foul involved. Winks needs to come back in. At least when Mavs and Winks came on, we actually moved the ball forward.
  2. How do you expect him to score goals when there is nothing coming through from midfield and he’s the only forward against 4 defenders.
  3. Regarding the Song Book programme, if the fans and the players singing that version, didn’t make the hairs on your neck tingle, then I feel sorry for you. YNWA is a song which when sung by Gerry and The Pacemakers, is an emotional fix, doesn’t need the Liverpool fans. When City fans join in with the JB version, I find it very emotional and listening to that podcast, cannot understand why you think only a third join in.
  4. I think more than 1/3 of the ground join in. When Maddison was here, he said it was great hearing the fans singing it. Like said previously, YNWA was always sung by all teams fans but after Hillsborough, became synonymous with Liverpool and almost as a matter of respect, has not been sung by other fans since. The JB version is ideal for a crowd to sing along to.It’s been sung b6 City fans since the late 60s early 70s. I’m sure that the JB version was sung at the end of the title winning season with the squad on the version.
  5. I am the sponsor, I’m a multi billionaire. I’m sure I could get someone local to have their names on the shirts (again).
  6. Dreams are what you want to make them.
  7. That’s not implied at all. Where did I specifically say get rid off King Power ? When a rebrand is done, you don’t usually keep the previous sponsors on show. Surely his place would be on the legends stand. There would be plenty of scope inside the West Stand hospitality areas.
  8. I was daydreaming that I was a multi billionaire and bought City from Top. I looked forward to rebranding the stadium, cutting admission costs and refreshing the stadium. I decided that I wanted the stadium to have the name Fosse in its title. I named the four stands, The Jamie Vardy Stand, The Legends Stand which would have pictures above the stand of the title winning squad, the Gary Lineker Stand as he was a boyhood fan, helped save the club and has always championed us. Then I would have The Birch Stand. The pictures on the Birch Stand would be of those with legendary status for our club, e.g. Arthur Chandler, Arthur Rowley, Banks, Cross, Shilton, Weller, Wallington, Wortho, Lineker, Walshie, Muzzy, Heskey, who also helped save the club. Throw in Matt Gillies, Mart O’Neil and Nigel Pearson. I’m sure there are others.
  9. Not a happy clapper as you like to so patronisingly put it. Just a supporter who always hopes that the next game will see an upturn in our fortunes.
  10. As there are so many on here who despise LCFC, and have some venomous comments for them, wouldn’t it be better if they did their protesting outside the stadium with the rest of the boo boys? I am not a happy clapper and know that we are in a mess and need a change at the top levels. But I still support my team and find it foreign to me to show such vitriol towards the team. How many of you boo boys on here sing “In the good times and the bad, we always back the lads” , but actually don’t.
  11. Obviously not a fan.
  12. He kept letting the ball bounce instead of attacking it and ended up looking like a 10 year old who just keeps heading the ball straight up in the and can’t direct it anywhere.
  13. Can the son take the phone to the match, use it for whoever is with him, then take it back to his dad after the match. Don’t know living arrangements so may not be possible but he has paid for it and should not be punished for a medical problem he has no control over.
  14. If you want some idea of owners attitude to the fans, just listen to Simon Jordan on Talksport. According to him, fans shouldn’t be allowed in the boardrooms for discussions and if they want to see multimillion pound players then they have to pay for that privilege. The fans don’t set the ridiculous transfer fees nor how much players earn.
  15. If you know someone who would like to go and who you trust not to cause any bother, then just give them the ticket and don’t say anything to the club. As far as I’m concerned, that ticket is the property of the ST holder and they can give it to whoever they like.
  16. According to the BBC, there were over 1000 protesting. They have twice as many fans as City. Presumably there were 50 odd thousand not protesting. I think they have been disillusioned far longer than we have so their cause has more momentum. Don’t forget, they are one of the top 6 and the only ones who haven’t won the Premier league or much else, for years.
  17. So the boo boys can have an opinion but the pathetically named happy clappers are wrong with their opinions. Personally think that we do need a reset and change but the recent chant of Rudkin is a c…., has not helped to engage the rest of the stadium. You’re not going to get 30000 fans chanting that when they are there with children or wives/girlfriends.
  18. He put himself about quite a bit today and made a number of passes to team mates. There was nothing creative coming from midfield. I don’t understand why anyone thinks Daka is the answer. He never looks like he’s going to score.
  19. Unfortunately Daka doesn’t get into the positions that Vardy does, to miss them in the first place. He is fast but so frustratingly easily knocked off the ball. Yes he seems like a lovely bloke and that has given him a lot of leeway, but strong on the ball, he is not.
  20. Didn’t he sent off? Is it worth losing players for matches just for some masochist feelings ?
  21. There’s nothing quite like a 22 man scrap!
  22. Both were brilliant keepers but Banksie was a World Cup winner and had a personality. Shilton was a very dedicated professional and allegedly used to hang from his bannisters at home on order to make his arms longer! I wish we had kept Banks as apart from being the better keeper, it was an insult to sell such a player in favour of someone who later down the line didn’t want play for City. A memorable highlight was Banks clashing with Ian St John in 1967 when we won 2 1. I think the headline was something like “Banks in clash as red wall breaks”. Great memories.
  23. Many years ago I met Gordon Banks. He said that hardest thing for a keeper to master and one which comes with experience, was coming for crosses. Mads was not to blame for the goal, it shouldn’t have mattered he came for the ball or not. Down to the officials for giving the free kick in the first place and then missing a blatant offside. The dubious handball was one of those where when it happens in the box, penalty isn’t given as it’s deemed to be too close for defender to avoid.
  24. One scores goals the other doesn’t .
  25. Supporting the club through thick and thin is how most fans support their teams whoever they are. We know things are bad and a change at the top is desperately needed and necessary. Meanwhile I will support the players on the pitch as I have always done. If you want to boo them that’s your choice. If you think that helps well that’s what you must do.
