  1. My wife and I flew to Stockholm just before Covid hit. We were arriving at Arlanda around 9ish and since we were staying in Hammarby about 40 odd km away, we did not want to fart around with public transport (even though good in Stockholm). It cost an arm and a leg if I remember rightly (about £70), but it was stress free. That’s probably of little help to you I know.

  3. Hope not, nowhere near clinical enough.
  4. Bournemouth were abysmal in that 2nd half, could barely string two passes together.
  5. Bournemouth and Palace have never won a major trophy. For that reason alone happy for either to break their duck.
  6. Very similar to last season. They need to keep hold of Glasner.
  7. Last series of Harry Bosch now out.
  8. Considering il Duce has four more years, what kind of change could take place. People will come and go in his administration, but ultimately it will be swapping one sycophant for another.
  9. Episode 4 of Gangs of London, I have watched countless action series/films, but can’t ever remember seeing someone get strangled with that particular body part. Not a show for the faint hearted. 🫣
  10. This is after all, a country quite content to subjugate 10% of it’s population for three quarters of a century, all with the blessing of The Supreme Court ‘s ruling of Plessy v Ferguson.
  11. Assume this is the US. In which case nothing surprises me! I love the “I want to find and punish all 25 men”. He needs Liam Neelson. 🤣
  12. Good point. I still have Benenden from my civil service days and they state the NHS waiting times for diagnostic tests are three weeks. Anything above that they will consider covering privately. I have a good friend, who had his prostate removed in 2018 and has just turned 60. His last PSA showed a reading, when there should not have been one and is now anxiously waiting the results of further tests. Thanks to all those on here sharing their stories.
  13. Can’t see the states meekly going along with il Duce on that one.
  14. What on earth can be done about this?
  15. I agree he’s an odd bod, but don’t agree he went to Arsenal to pee off Spurs. He wanted to win trophies and at that time only Man Utd and Arsenal were winning the league. The stick he got from Spurs at the time and still continues to get is ridiculously over the top. Anyone would think he was the only player to have made such a move. Spurs fans could not forgive he was their captain at that time and probably felt humiliated, because it reinforced how second rate Spurs were(and still are of course).
  16. Allowed to stay up by my grandmother to watch Rumble in the Jungle, incredible fight and Foreman was an exceptional puncher.
  17. If so, watch out for a Russian state tv interview with these two ‘tourists’, no doubt ‘admiring the famous architecture of Heathrow Airport’.
  18. As if Birmingham wasn’t bad enough as it is.
  19. They always get that free pass, very rare there’s any criticism from any western government. To say quite sickening is a mild understatement.
  20. Just seen the first episode, didn’t previously know much about the case. At this stage I am intrigued as to how the father fits into the narrative.
  21. Dire game, 2nd against 4th you must be having a bubble.
  22. Can empathize with that. I need to supplement my work pension with some part time work, but as someone in their sixties I am finding it very difficult. I went for a interview last week for 2 part time positions at my local library. I didn't get the job, but the manager who interviewed me told me they had received 225 applications and had short listed 13 people for interview! There really isn't much of a job market for my age group.
  23. Salzburg was decent and I would recommend it for a short city break. First time we have stayed anywhere, that we did not have to use any public transport to get about. The Salzburg pass is a must, to make those savings on visiting the tourist sites. We got very lucky with the weather and I got to mangle some conversational German, so all good. 🤣
