If you have 7 or more shots then 7 goals is possible, whatever the xG. Looks like they had their shooting boots on as xGoT was 3.0.
-
They say a ref has a good game when you don't notice them. But they'd have to be incredible to be less noticed than Skipp. Absolutely pointless player.
-
Good set of results for us today. I think the likes of Cov and Boro do have a good opportunity this year, the league seems more open than normal. Admittedly that may change by the time the window closes.
-
Wednesday back to 2-2 too
-
Stoke got a second a man down!
-
Whoa, a bit of fight. Don't mind that.
-
Need a way to connect the back 6 with the front 4. At the moment there is no link and we're left nudging the ball around the defence and not looking like an attacking threat.
-
Gutted for Mads. This is a very bad start to his career there.
-
To be fair that's a good signing for them imo. There's obviously some potential there and at the moment they're just looking to establish themselves as a Championship side. This one at least has a potential sell on at some point whereas the likes of Coady won't.

From a few of the early games I've seen across the Champ we seem desperate to add some physicality to this squad. We're just far too slow and weak overall.

Kasey McAteer (gone to Ipswich, official. 12m.)

Hey Ipswich, I reckon a certain Mr Skipp could fill that Morsey-shaped hole in midfield too. Go on.... -
I think his stats when last in the league were a little unfortunate too. Most big chances created with 32, second best was 22.
-
Wissa throwing his toys out the pram now too. Modern football sucks.
-
Maybe let's not judge how a team's whole season is gonna go after the first game? People saying Leeds and Sunderland will be fine after they both won, but even we managed 4 points from West Ham H and Everton H last season. Everton also lost away at Southampton.

It can be difficult to accept when the time is right to end things, but I think we're past there. I recall the Ranieri sacking and how other fans were scathing, but ultimately that protected his legacy. He was kept free of relegation ignominy. Then the error of keeping Rodgers on too long. That summer after we finished 8th all the signs were there, a well oiled football machine spots that and course corrects. Instead we clung on, and the slide began. And now ultimately I think Top has to admit he's only going to further taint the King Power legacy here. Needs to sell up or have a personality transplant before it gets considerably worse. At least the documentary in a few years will be fun for neutrals: LCFC, from Top to bottom.

Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart loan, official)

I'd take the £30m provided we had some creativity coming in. Remain unconvinced by his output though could see him improving into a decent Prem player on a few years. -
If there's hope for the promoted sides this year it looks like it'll come from Brentford and West Ham. Both looking a bit ropey.
-
1-1. Southampton looking much the better side.
-
I'm not sure there's a 100 point team in the division this season. Much more open.
-
Great goal 😂
-
I think there was a big opportunity for him this season too. Clearly one of the better midfielders, a more senior member of the squad, and one year left on his deal. He could have looked at that as a chance to shine, to be the exemplary professional to all those youngsters around him and get himself a decent move next summer. Instead walking round like a petulant child, get rid. Don't want to see him in a Leicester shirt again.
-
Yeh I'm regretting my summer of football blinkers. He looks great and exactly what that midfield needed.
-
Reijnders looks fantastic.
-
He's learning slowly, but he's got to learn fast. Seen some tweaks but the style seems to have regressed since pre-season. Gone is the high pressure, in is pointless possession and terrible defending. An awful combination. Don't think we'll have a proper idea of how we'll get on until the window is closed though.
-
3 games this season and we haven't turned up for the first half in any of them.
