Guessing it's about to go quiet in here

Thought the first 20 or so was poor and we were too laid back. Grew into the half though and we're upping the pressure. I feel like it'll either end 0-1 and be one of those nights, or we'll score and they'll crumble 3-1

I know we're patience first, but hitting 20 mins without so much as a shot, at home, is disappointing. Not saying we should just start taking pot shots but going 1-0 makes these types of games 10 times more difficult.

There is a wider issue in that this is happening all over the country. Probably only a handful of grounds where the atmosphere is good now - and that has been engineered by clubs. I think some of the stuff that the club has done recently shows they are listening to an extent, but I'm not sure we'll see a return to even the levels we saw in 14/15. If safe standing doesn't have an impact then I think you'll have to travel abroad for the atmosphere.

I reckon the likes of Villa, Everton, and Luton are definitely benefiting from a vocal home crowd too. Old grounds are definitely a factor but it really does have an effect on the pitch.

What if every fan thought this way though and at 90 mins the stadium was empty - do you think that would look bad?

Sure he'll get minutes with the schedules over the festive period and Vesty is already on 9 yellows too. He'll be needed but he's not currently part of our best 11.

Not having that it was cold yesterday either. I hate the cold, look like the Michelin man in the winter at games, but it was pretty mild yesterday for the time of year.

Top tip, leaving on 85 mins can save you a good chunk of time, but not going at all saves you an extra couple of hours at least. Worth considering.

The trains are a bit ropey today but it wasn't that cold and the game was good, surprised it was quite so empty. I think a lot do it as a force if habit now.

Agree and this could be a real problem in the future. Even if we complete the job and do go up, people are desperate to get rid of him, and this it will turn nasty quick if we struggle at a higher level.

I've seen this comment about Mads being dodgy doing the rounds on some socials too. And it's bizarre because I think it was the best bit of business we did all summer. Can only assume people have seen the odd misplaced pass and made a judgement from that. Unless I've got blinkers on because we had Ward last season.

Some interesting milestones this month too. We'll hit the midway point on games played after Rotherham. Should be looking to be on 58 at that point, which would be a brilliant first half of the season. Second half has Ipswich twice and AFCON in it, so definitely harder, but that's a brilliant foundation. Ipswich and Cardiff then round off the year so really should be looking to hit the new year around 60 points. 69 was 6th last year so to have playoffs at least already sewn up would be remarkable. Obviously we're aiming higher than that but still highly impressive. I'm sure there'll be a bump in there probably unexpectedly but this looks like a good month to settle some nerves and assert authority.

Playing well is nice, but the feeling after that kind of win cannot be matched.

We're generally slower in first halves and WBA have had an extra day's rest. Not been a great watch but I expect it's more or less to plan at the moment. Think we can press their defence into mistakes.
