Great shout. I’ve just looked into it. I’ve also just researched what your body does re blood replenishment…! How fecking awesome is that?!!! Probably something I should know and would have already known if I’d been the slightest bit interested in biology at school. But still. What happens to corpses blood? Does it get drained and re-used? If not, why not? Does it need to be ‘alive’ blood to work? Could you just chop off a toe and drain off a gallon or so once someone has popped their clogs? So many questions and a whole new world opened up to me.

If I had a mic, I’d drop it

Good topic, especially at this time of year. I have donated £25 to GOSH, £25 to Time for a Change (children's care services) and £25 to Shelter. First two are fairly self explanatory. Shelter is something I’d like to do more for. I’m conscious that the above amounts are modest, and (not even) a drop in the ocean of what’s required. Each year I say I will look in to doing a bit more. But shamefully don’t. Absolute hats off to those on here that volunteer - that’s where real differences are made imo.

Two horses at a party. Which one is the last to mingle? The shire horse

Haha - honestly I don’t see what Fatawu brings to the party.

I’d have their Dembele over Fatawu

Maybe. But I doubt Dalot will do it again. Players should just be a bit less cvntish, imo

If in doubt, Neil Harris is always a decent guess

I looked at sous vide for it - but that still cooks it (albeit less than thoroughly cooked) and the client wanted raw chicken. From memory I ended up trying about 3 hours at 60 degrees. I looked at super-freezing a la sashimi grade fish, and also salting. But the ball ache to do it, and to trust that the chefs would do it without killing everyone was too much of a liability - coupled with the amount of lab testing and validation needed - so I binned it. Chefs 🙄

Oh my. I had a client recently that was wanting to do chicken sashimi. I know it’s a thing in Japan - but fvck knows how/why.

Fun-sponge alert… 75 will better protect you from Campylobacter and/or Salmonella.

I watched the first half half which was ok-ish. I rejoined just after half time to find we were 4-0 up. Watched the rest of the game which was, again, ok-ish. Still no idea how/why we we scored the goals 🤷♂️

And Hardy’s playing for them… 🧐

Oh dear - how did you find out? 😬

I used to get genuinely baffled by people that didn’t get the fvck out of my way. I mean, don’t they know who I think I am? But I do agree with this. I had an Evoque once (very briefly, long story), Previous owner…Sir Clive Woodward!! No idea how he got in it - they’re tiny.

Maybe panicked a bit as they’ve been absolutely mullered for the last couple of weeks? Maybe couldn’t handle the pressure of it. No real rational explanation for it.

I had them for decades - rarely any trouble at all. (And still the only car I’ve owned that made me smile when I got in it).

VAR absolutely SHOULD look at corners and throw ins. Since the idea was first floated for the introduction of VAR, I’ve never understood why only some decisions are reviewed. It doesn’t make sense. If the ball deflects off a defender and a corner is missed by the ref, but it’s clearly corner…then why the fvck should that not be reviewed? Same with contested throw ins. I abhor VAR, but if you are going to the trouble and expense of setting up a system that can ensure all decisions are correct…then you should really make sure that all decisions are correct. The PGMOL came out pre-VAR/pre-Covid with a trumpet blowing stat and said that something like 98% of refs on-field decisions are correct. I don’t know the stats post VAR…maybe 99%? Is the absolute nonsense we have now worth the (possible) marginal gains? Bin it, or make it foolproof.

Any suggestions on how to make it a little more exciting? Mine would be to bin the dull Middle East circuits (yeah, I know why they are used) and replace them with more exciting tracks. Teams must use all 3 tyre compounds throughout a race Reintroduce refueling so that teams can opt for fast starts with less fuel, or longer strategies. And have a couple of races where pit wall communication is banned. (Except for safety issues). Drivers choose how to race and when to pit, based on their abilities and instinct. No endless data of how each component of the car is performing, what others lap times are, etc. Old school racing. I think it would make it a little more watchable!!

Highlights of the season for me were Singapore and Vegas. The rest was largely forgettable. Not really an edge-of-your-seat sport these days.

Good punch, though
