Tony Cottee looked a daft signing but that worked out ok

Can he run?

Jordan Ayew (interest confirmed by Percy)
Barwell Fox replied to iancognito's topic in Transfer Talk
He is a hard working forward who holds the ball up well, and wins a lot of free kicks. I cant believe the angst against him. Yeah - he is not a prolific goal scorer, and no - he wont have any re-sale value. Seems like the negativity transfer from Ayoze has arrived for a player who hasnt even signed for us. Think Fatawu could learn a lot from him. I would welcome him here. -
So now that Ayoze Perez has left .........
-
or, were we the players??

Stats are misleading. He was injured for half the season. Apparently wanted £35k a week to renew his contract, Cov couldnt afford it. He is hit and miss, but when he is a hit, he is very good.

You mean pass it forward ?

Match Ratings: Newcastle 2-0 Leicester City - Vote Now
Barwell Fox replied to Mark's topic in Leicester City Forum
Shame you couldn't vote for Mendy. Winning a header against Linton made him our player of the match. -
Your opinion - you are entitled to it, just as I am mine

Why would Colwill come to Leicester? He would be at least 4th choice behind Wes, Jonny and Daniel. He is a good/very good prospect but he has loads to learn and would definitely NOT sort out our defensive problems. Watched him a lot for Huddersfield last season, and whilst largely being solid also showed naivety at times. If he chooses to move it will be for opportunity of game time which would be very limited here at Leicester. If he is our main target, it will be for 2 seasons time, not this coming season.

Anybody else think the Benfica manager is the love child of Neil Warnock and Keith Richard?

So £34m for a kid who has great potential or £30m for an Italian European winner who will have less resale value but wants to leave their current club. Berardi all day for me as he can make immediate impact rather than the inconsistency of a teenager.
-
He works for the Athletic. He actually said he wanted a strong defensive midfielder like Ndidi - but continued by saying, not Ndidi as they would never be able to buy him.

Down with the kids? More like down with the grandads to know what goof means

Knew it was a mistake looking at this thread. The incessant criticism of one of our own players is extremely boring. I was at Chelsea in the mid 90s when their fans were shouting keep him on, as one of our players was subbed. We lost 5-0 and were flattered by that score. Some people need to get a grip and understand what sheer dross we have had at times to be able to appreciate someone who gives his all for his club. He may not be the most thrilling or dynamic player that we have, but he doesnt warrant incessant criticism.

Its him. Its H (the fourth man) Someone grass him up to AC12. Line of Duty fans need not reply

The trip to Atletico with the pre match banter. The wheels on the bus really cracked me up and the We're going France you're not finished me off.

Wasn't it mentioned early in the transfer window that it was likely that we would be making loans rather than permanent signings. Why would ASSE agree to it - well long term it would mean more money for them if we took up the option to buy. If we agreed to £20m with a 5 year contract, the money 'up front' would be £4m. A loan deal would probably be 3-4 million euros, then the agreed transfer fee at the end of the loan agreement. Not a lot of difference in the money they would receive 'up front'. It would also take their wage bill down. Wouldn't be surprised at all if we went down the loan route.

Player wants to leave. Club don't want him to. So player then:- a) Spills guts to a national newspaper b) Hands in a written transfer request Can't remember the last written transfer request being reported, seems to be a thing of the past.

This lad has significant talent and HAS shown what he can do in the Prem. Skilful, covers defensively, quick, dribbling skills and a decent shot on him. Had he not been injured, I suspect that he would have been regarded as one of the brightest young players alongside Mount, Maddison et al. £30m - bargain!

Seagrave Training Centre - Construction updates
Barwell Fox replied to Superpants82's topic in Leicester City Forum
Seen pictures of the floods up that part of Leicestershire. Anybody know if the new training ground has been affected? -
I was not allowed to see the content - it has gone
-
Well - if he aint making old bones, I don't want him!

Who the ecky thump is Marty Jones?

So, if I understand correctly, the options on Carrick are :- a) he is a kid - if so, leave the kid alone. b) He is an older troll - in which case he has had loads of bites and must be feeling pretty smug. Either way, he aint come on this forum and said that Leicester are poo - just posted some poor twitter tweets. Have no problem with him at all. Seen a lot worse by Leicester fans on other teams forums.
