  1. This is the main thing that comes from that documentary. Whilst it does seem to point in one direction, it is all just circumstantial. Even if on the hard drive they found, there were surveillance pictures of the McCann's on holiday, without any physical evidence and particularly a body, if he keeps his mouth shut, they won't have enough. Particularly vile human being.
  2. Just to clarify. This is in no way at all what I want to happen, I can just see a scenario where (such is the state of things at the minute) we start the season with Ruud in charge and Mavididi up front.
  3. I'm gonna guess that we don't sign a replacement and Mavididi will play up front.
  4. Quite a lot of the time, keepers playing at the bottom of the league can look decent as they face a hell of a lot of shots so get to make some quite eye catching saves (Conrad Logans MOTM performance away at Pompey under Sousa springs to mind). But when you’re a fan and you watch every second of every game, you can really be better placed to make a judgement than the stats can show. He is a good keeper, there’s no doubt about it but is he irreplaceable? Would we be hugely worse off if Jakub became number 1 and another youth team keeper came up as number 2? I’ve seen enough of Jakub to be completely comfortable with Mads moving on and if we got £25m for him, i’ll be honest, i’d be a bit surprised.
  5. I don’t think they’ve done it on purpose, but the Club have actually put him in a bit of a predicament. At his age, being snapped up by Man City (or any other big team) as a potential gem from Leicester’s youth academy, really wouldn’t raise any eyebrows and wouldn’t really come with any pressure at all. By having him on the bench for the cup, then drip feeding some minutes in a dying campaign, we’ve given him national exposure. This now makes it a little more politically difficult for :- a) Teams who already have a bit of a spotlight on them for the wrong reasons to be seen to be taking advantage of the system even more than they do. b) A young kid who’s been brought through the ranks and given an opportunity, to **** off at the first whiff of glory without looking like a rat leaving a sinking ship. We might accidentally have made him think of staying another year.
  6. Its not an elephant in the room. Everybody talks about it and acknowledges the people in charge of recruitment are dogshit but people keep banging on as if the disgruntlement with the powers that be (in particular Rudkin) are a recent thing. Christ at the victory parade at the end of last season Vards openly had a dig at Rudders. Its not like the club are unaware. They’re not going anywhere. Whilst we all share and acknowledge that they don’t know what they’re doing, we know that RVN can’t stay so all we can do is hope they roll the dice and come up yahtzee.
  7. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how good he’s been actually. I remember when he was coming through, how highly he was rated. If his form can stay consistent then i’d be comfortable if we stuck with him next season. In fact, the prospect of seeing him, Nelson, Monga, Evans and Alves in the same side, actually makes me a lot happier.
  8. We have to be honest here. We are going to get absolutely spanked.
  9. Yeah but the alternative is actually Soumare.
  10. Clean sheet, goals and a win aside. I thought the most pleasing thing today was there were patches where we actually looked like a Championship side for a change.
  11. When he fell over. It was just, well, it was just Patson.
  12. Our squad is so fvcking awful
  13. This is so bang on and one of the most frustrating decisions ever. If he was free like BDCR, I could kind of understand (although I still wouldn't agree in signing both of them), but to shell out the amount we did on him is just absolutely bizarre. When you look at it, no matter what angle you try and come at it from it just doesn't make any sense.
  14. It's difficult when you watch us to know which of the two is bringing the other down. We know Wilf has some ability so it's fair he gets the benefit of the doubt but as others have said, bar some performances last season under Enzo, he's been pretty ropey for a while now.
  15. Shades of ‘Nacho and Daka are gonna tear up the Championship’ vibes here.
  16. Soumare and Ndidi are such a non-existent midfield it’s untrue. If you can’t keep hold of it in the middle of the park you have no hope.
  17. I mean we are going to be looking in the bargain bins so anything over £3m, forget about.
  18. I still don't think people give him enough credit. To have come through how he did at the time that he did, keeping his levels up to the standard of his peers for so long is truly remarkable and not something that we're likely to ever see again. That period between 2016-2021, he really was the best striker on the planet, bar none and had he gone to Arsenal, they would have not only won the Premier League, they most likely would have won the Champions League. He really would have made that much difference to them, or in fact, any of the top 6 in that time period. 143 top flight goals, despite only making his top flight debut at 27, spending a season out of the league and only ever playing for Leicester is unbelievable. The comparison is always made with Harry Kane with the question being, 'Who's better?'. I can't see how anyone can choose Kane over Vardy. 2 x Championship Titles 1 x Premier League 1 x FA Cup 1 x Community Shield 1 x Golden Boot Ballon'dor Shortlist With that achievement list, people still question if he's in the Top 10 Premier League Strikers of all time. In my near 40 years of supporting the club, i've never felt so attached to a player and the loyalty he's showed to us is inconceivable in todays climate. A statue should happen pretty much immediately.
  19. Absolute shite
  20. Great player but if we can get any money for him in the summer, we should take it. Cannot rely on players constantly out for long periods of time.
